Hey, just wanted to say thank you for this video it was very informative, I'll be embarking on a solo trip from London to Amsterdam for King's Day in two weeks. Thank you once again!
Thanks so much, we appreciate you saying that! We wish you an amazing time in Amsterdam. Hopefully the weather will not be too Dutch 🫣🤣. But nonetheless it will be a great party and definitely a unique experience to be in Amsterdam for King’s Day. Enjoy and don’t forget to get your hands on a Tompouce at a bakery or supermarket 👋☀️🥂🎉. If you like, let us know how your day was. We would love to hear 🙌👋
Thanks so much 🧡👑. And yeah this is all over the Netherlands for sure. Each city has their own celebrations and parties. Amsterdam is iconic for King’s Day. But other cities are definitely worth visiting for this day too 🙌👑☀️🥂🎉👋
Well the evening before you need to be in the Haque for the kingsnight and I prefer celebrating it in cities like Utrecht, Rotterdam or even Breda. Less tourists
@@stufr.travel ive done them all.. Rotterdam has some amazing parties, Utrecht love it. Amsterdam did the boat for 2 years nearly died a few times. For me now as a dad these last years all about the small towns were the kids start "building" there stores at 07.00 in the morning selling their old toys, popcorn, games or even handmade jewelry. I would love you guys to cover the entrepeneurship of our kiddies
Hallo, Dennis and Tim! Thanks for making this special video about King's Day! I've heard about King's Day, but it's wonderful to see your video and all the people enjoying the holiday in Amsterdam! Everyone looked like they were having so much fun. I was very impressed by the group of men in matching orange business suits - wow! The Tompouce must have been so delicious. It's fun that they make it orange as well for this holiday. It's marvelous to have a special holiday to celebrate the King's birthday. I send hugs and best wishes to both of you!
Thanks soooo much. We appreciate you saying that. We love to also show parts of the Dutch culture on our channel 🙌😊❤️. We hope you are doing well and have a great day 🥰
Little correction ; 30 April was the birthday of Queen Juliana ( Queensday ) in honnour of her mother .. Queen Beatrix kept this day to cellebrate Queensday here birthday is in january ..passing over the crown to Willem Alexander it became the 27 of April ... his birthday !
You can take boattrips throughout the day. The boat will not go into the busy part where all the party boats are. Cause it would get stuck there 🤣. But you will see a lot from the city nonetheless. The trip mostly takes one hour. On our website: www.stufr.nl you will get links. We wish you an amazing King’s Day 🧡🎉🥂👑. Here is a link to one company that does boattrips. But there are many more at Damrak just across the big street from the Central Station. So you will definitely be able to get tickets there too. www.rederijplas.nl/
Hi Tim and Dennis! Visiting The Netherlands in June. ( seeing my best friend) where do you recommend for the best Dutch Fries with the special sauces. It’s my favorite and I want my son and husband to experience this lovely treat! Thank you!!!
Hey Mary. How awesome that you will visit the Netherlands! 🙌🎉👋. The fun part on having the fries with the various sauces is that you can literally get it everywhere. And it is amazing everywhere. But you can’t find it at chains like Mc Donald’s. You will just have to go to a local “cafeteria”. There you can find it all. I would advice you to try the fries “speciaal”, which is with mayonnaise currysauce and raw onions. Or the fries “oorlog” (translated as war) which is with peanut sauce, mayonnaise and raw onions. The peanut sauce is my favorite. And also try the deep fried snacks like the famous “frikadel speciaal” or the “kroket”. Or my favorite the “bamischijf”, which is a disc filled with noodles. Yummmmm. Do you have instagram? If so, send me a message @dennis.stufr so I can give more tips if needed. Or if you are staying somewhere near us we could grab some fries together 😉🙌
Nah, weather's going to be shit this year unfortunately. Just too warm to wear a winter jacket but because it'll be raining the whole day, you'll still probably be better off wearing one but no matter if you wear a spring or winter jacket, the temperature will be miserable and you'll get wet. Nothing enough beer won't fix though :)
@theunderdog9353 my weather app says it will only rain between 10 and 12 am. Fingers crossed it is correct and the rest of the day will be dry. But yeah it will not be great since it too cold 🫣. Have a great day nonetheless 👋👑
‼️ These are the days/weeks you should visit the Netherlands, from April 26 till May 6. April 27 Kings Day May 4 Remembrance Day/Memorial Day May 5 Liberation Day ‼️

As Dutchie, I agree, warm saté/peanutsauce is the best!
@MissMoontree yessss it is my absolute favorite 🙌
We'll be in Amsterdam for kingsday! But it's going to be raining all day does anything change? Probs not but I thought I would ask
Nothing changes! Just dancing in the rain 🎉
I actually think it will rain a bit but not the entire day. Fingers crossed 🤞👑🎉
