It’s been a long time since I ran into sand, here we have mud or deep gravel, the result is the same except the trikes are more difficult to get through. We got out for a nice ride today, lots of sun and lots of smiles when people see the recumbent trikes.
Always enjoy your videos. Love the Western themed music as others have mentioned. Lately rediscovering the joy and simplicity my rigid ‘86 HardRock on dirt roads and trails. I believe same geometry as Stumpy but heavier cheaper straight gauge tubing and components. Love the thumb shifters. Hopefully the jarring ride you experienced wasn’t simply due to high tire pressure? The quick sand might be cause to add fat bikes to your arsenal. 👍🏼
Hey, Leslie! You may be right about the tire pressure. I’ve been running 50psi which I’m thinking is too high so I’ll drop it down to 30psi next time and see how it goes. Thanks for the suggestion! I had a Hardrock for many years. It was an early ‘90’s bike so it was a much more advanced bike (and lighter) than these early ‘80’s Stumpjumpers. I miss that bike!
I always like that Western movie-style background music you use in your videos!
Aaron's music is very "cinematic". :)
@@taiwan1895 reminds me of City Slickers!

Yep, we took the trikes out on Saturday and try and stay away from the sand! :)
This looks like a good trail. If this was New Mexico, the only thing I would be thinking of is how many goatheads I would be picking up.
We have them here also. I don't know if this area gets them, but so far, this year has been pretty good with no flats yet! (knock on wood).
Good times on some gravel trails those early Mt bikes work your bones ,sorry you didn't find the light saber.🔦🤔
It's out there somewhere! I'll find it next time. :)

@@bikestrikesrazors have my fingers crossed that 30 psi will make the ride much more pleasant!
Did you know that you can go real fast in the quick sand?
I did not! Can you get through it at high speed?
