In his BTS pre-debut & debut days, J-Hope was one of the more hated from other fanbases of other bands within KPop. There was actually a movement where people were voting to kick him out of BTS. But ARMY supported him & helped him from getting too depressed. Over the years, he has proven himself from haters & critics. Today he is one of the top known artists globally & the recent J-Cole collab gave him even more public exposure, especially in the US.
I love your words and understanding towards Jhope and BTS. Haters are losers, they hate , because they can't do what others can. Suga of BTS once said, "WE NEED NEW HATERS, OUR OLD HATERS ARE ARMY NOW". Isn't that the truth !💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
BTS and j-hope are very inspiring! I can only imagine how hard it is to try and pay attention to everything while you're reacting, because if you're reacting you also need to pay attention to the fact that you're on camera and are supposed to say something about the song. I have hard enough time watching BTS videos for the first time just on my own and probably have a dumb expression on my face the entire time, because I'm trying to understand what's happening. Lol im pretty comfortable infront of the camera now. When i first started it was kind of hard getting comfortable and id be nervous to talk a lot but i had to realize that the viewers are here to see my reaction for a reason so talking is mandatory. Like you said, you don't HAVE to like every song. ARMY just wants people to be respectful. Because music really is about people's preference. You don't have to like every song or artist, but there's no reason to disrespect people. Some people say whack shit about their looks or the way they sound or pronounce things or just the fact that they are asian. People are people. Art is art. ARMY is just thankful that you are respectful and open-minded, that's all.
And we say that you don't have to like every song because to be honest some people kiss ass because they think it gets them more views. So you might have some people calling you a cloutchaser if it sounds like you are saying the "right" things too much. We value honest opinions and can accept criticism because that's the natural course of music and art.
I don't think you fall into either of these categories, just letting you know.

It’s one of my favorites of his.
He had a legendary set at lollapalooza in 2022 that might be fun to react to as well at some point! He played a bunch of songs from his album Jack in The Box (Incl More and Arson), his previous mixtape Hope World, as well as solos off of BTS albums (such as “Ego” and “Just Dance”) and the mentioned Chicken Noodle Soup. It’s about an hour but I swear it is worth it because he is such an energetic and charismatic performer! You can find it on their official channel as a whole or as part 1 and 2 with subtitles uploaded by an awesome ARMY translation account called “Enjoy BTS more”. There’s a behind the scenes episode for that on BTS UA-cam channel BangTanTV as well that is super interesting, it shows a lot of how he prepared for it both with the dancers and the band and the whole production side of things. You can also find a super short clip from backstage that shows how j-hope and J. Cole met for the first time at that same lollapalooza, which was taken from the Disney+ documentary “j-hope in the box”. Sorry for the long comment 😅
Oh also, if you wanna see him really go for it in terms of dance in one of his music videos, I highly recommend “Boy Meets Evil”. A breathtaking choreography. I love the song too. It is a solo song off of a BTS album (video is called “BTS WINGS ‘Boy Meets Evil’ Comeback Trailer”) and the sound is extremely different from what you’ve heard from him so far. It’s very very short so it maybe doesn’t show off his rap as much but I really love it.
