A fun fact, J-Hope is the main composer for this track, a huge part of the melody is written by him and also his verse at the beginning directed the whole lyrics and vibe of the song. (The rap line got the idea of making this track based on president Obama dropping the mic at WH correspondents' dinner 2016) it's a very interesting song generally.
Yes, there's an original version of Mic Drop. It has more Korean language and a more fluid beat. There's no mv for it but there's an awesome dance practice video. Personally I prefer the Steve Aoki remix though because of the more aggressive beat. (And I do have Twitch but I only got it because of BTS reactions. Same with Discord, Instagram and Reddit - never thought I'd have any of them. Dang you, BTS! 😂)
They were practically babies 😊. They didn't have a very big budget so sets were simpler. They had to overcome a lot of hate too in the early years. 'Idols' were looked down on by street and underground rappers and hip hop performers. So, a lot of early stuff is addressing tha HARD!

My next suggestion is a popular one. It shows you how versatile they are by performing a completely different genre. "Black Swan" has contemporary dance elements showcased by Jimin. Remember he went to a Performing Arts High school and trained and excelled at contemporary dance. "Black Swan" is deep as are many of their songs. So deep in lyrics and imagery that you might consider watching the explanation video. Or you can just enjoy as is without diving in deep. You say you like JK's voice. His favorite solo part in a song is in "On". The first time I saw it they performed it at Grand Central Station in New York. They also have a version of it where they filmed it outside in California called the Kinetic Manifesto. Watch both. They are fabulous. Plus you get to hear JK's stunningly exquisite solo part. Enjoy. And yes, this song was written by RM, he has said that he got influenced when he saw Obama inauguration speech where he dropped the mic at the end of his speech. This song is written by many people, including the whole rap line, not just RM. The idea came from Obama dropping mic but that's it. its not that Namjoon made this track. It's mainly composed by Hobi (he has written the melody) and there was problem in the process of writing lyrics but after Jhope's verse it went smoothly (there are too many resources to back the whole paragraph up) Hobi has done the huggest part for this track, so give the credits when it's due pls.

This song is written by many people, including the whole rap line, not just RM. The idea came from Obama dropping mic but that's it. its not that Namjoon made this track. It's mainly composed by Hobi (he has written the melody) and there was problem in the process of writing lyrics but after Jhope's verse it went smoothly (there are too many resources to back the whole paragraph up) Hobi has done the huggest part for this track, so give the credits when it's due pls.
