I absolutely love this pattern! I've made three of these shawls now, two using Scheepjes Whirl and one with a much chunkier yarn, which also worked out great. The only thing I noticed is for the first one I made, the flat edge wasn't entirely flat, so for the next ones I chained 4 instead of 5 for each new row, which created a shape that was more what I wanted. So if anyone else has that problem, I recommend chaining 4 :) Thank you so much for the video!! I love these shawls :)
I wrote down the pattern I hope this helps anyone else, M/R Chain 5 (1 DC) plus a chain 1 D/c in loop (plus 1 ch) for 4 x 5 total and pull ring R2. Chain 5 - Start working into chain spaces with 2 DC (chain 2) all the way, total 5 spaces R3. Chain 5 turn work - in first chain space place 2 DC , no chains, next space 2 DC, chain 2, so on and so forth. Into last piece 2 DC, chain 2 and leave one Dc R4. Chain 5, - into first space 2 DC, now creating the first valley, into the next DC from previous row place one Dc, skip 2-3 space, the one next to it place a DC, after that coming to a chain 2 space add 2 DC, chain 2, add two more DC, - Making our valley into the previous DC row place 1 DC skip the next space x2 into next one place add DC, into a chain 2 space add 2 DC, chain 2, two more DC, (should have 3 points) - Repeat processes 2 more times for a total of 5 points R5. Chain 5, turn work, - into first space 2 Dc, (you should see there is a total of 3 st and a space that looks like an upside V skip the stitches between it) place a DC into first two stitches - Skip V stitch and a DC to the next one after that, one more after that one - Once into big space add 2 DC, Chain 2, 2 DC, proceed next St with one DC, skip tiny space that looks like an upside V and DC into the one after that, one more after that - Into big space repeat 2 DC, ch2, 2DC. - Repeat until near end - into the last big space 2DC, ch2, and one more DC. R6 and so on. repeat R5. Until desired length, To better understand the valleys in every row that we do with the little space area and the two stitches it comes with it, we will skip that every time, so every time you increase the number of DC we make in between will help it increase every time.
I love the way this shawl🤗 it's so flowy, I know it's just the yarn, is 🙃 lovely . I have seen the same pattern done in August 2nd 2017 by fiber spider, the starburst shawl. Thank you for your video, this is just like the star blanket But in a shawl, I have crocheted five star blankets for my granddaughters the first one was 13 years ago. now I will be crocheting my first 1/2 star shawl for my daughter, it will be her Christmas present , all my granddaughters are getting a shawl for Christmas😃 I am on my 6th shawl , Not all for them, I have crochet 🙃 one for my sister , my aunt , 4 granddaughters, Im just finishing the 4th for my granddaughter. then I will start my daughters, I forgot I already crochet one for my oldest daughter, I am missing one other ? I just can't remember whomever it went to, Oh well. we loved your shawl because of the yarn 🧶. Thank you for your video . Oh yeah you didn't finish your double Stitch 🙃😉 I stopped playing attention after that ,🙈

@@HeartandCraftCrochet thank you! That’s really pretty. I think if we crochet it more we can make it like a poncho too. Loved it. That’s my next project after Christmas 🤩!!

I used one cake of fingering weight yarn and still had a little left
@@HeartandCraftCrochet Thank you for your response!
I'm sorry if I already asked this but Is there a pattern for this?
Hello! It's just the video. I don't have a written pattern
I wish this had captions
Sorry! I usually put them down but I found it really hard to write out the instructions for this one!
You can always slow down the video speed where you can hear it slower. Hope this helps
Bad choice of yarn for demonstration.
