PRESONUS SL24.4.2 & SL16.4.2
DSP module the original part Regulator is only 400mA output, and this is not enough to supply the circuits & IC DSP, so sometimes digital sound process does not work, so there is no sound or sometimes the sound is lost.
the solution is to replace with IC 7805 1Ampere output

Repairing the Talkback Mic section is very difficult because you have to disassemble the input-output module, and this can only be done by skilled technicians and service centers, but the damage you mention is usually the capacitor in the Talk back mic input section is damaged,
IC 7805 letter in front can use LM, and
the output of the LM7805 is 1 Ampere

At first it crackled after 1 hour of operation and did not speak. off, there is sound again after turning on.
I left it on for 8 hours by the time I got home muted and only after several minutes of turning off the speech and note, then only for a few seconds.
If it sounds, all channels sound, if it doesn't sound, none !!! but its other features work perfectly, I can control anything. There is no sound. It smells a little warming, but I don’t see any suspicious discoloration on the food or around the 3 7805 pieces. What to do? Do you think the 7805 replacement will help here too, or maybe I'll look for something in the rear input panel?

I have often found the damage you mentioned, and the solution is only to replace 3 pcs of the IC regulator in the DSP module with IC 7805, because the regulator IC from the factory is only 400mA and should be replaced with IC 7805 with 1A output
@@creativera2180 I exchanged them. the output of two was already broken when desoldered, along with a piece of plastic.
It works again !!! i leave it on for a few days now and check from time to time ...

Hello Friend! I have a console like this with the gain reduction LED bar locked. the console has no audio in or out. I checked all the voltages at the source and they are ok, I have a suspicion that it is the firewire card. but if u can help me with any more tips, i am grateful. note: I performed the replacement of the voltage regulators just like you show in the video.

Almost all sound problems in SL 24.4.2 or SL 16.4.2 are the cause of the DSP module and IO module, there is a regulator / power supply that is not good. please replace the original regulator from the factory with IC 7805. There are 4 pcs that must be replaced, please see the video above how to replace the parts,

Hey I've now replaced these including adding heatsinks. Audio is still dropping out once every now and again. Only for a split 2nd or so.
Any other ideas yourself?
