DSP module the original part Regulator is only 400mA output, and this is not enough to supply the circuits & IC DSP, so the digital sound process does not work, so there is no sound or sometimes the sound is lost.
the solution is to replace with IC 7805 1Ampere output

Great .. just what I needed to see. Before I throw our Presonus in the bin for being unreliable. I am a tech but it gives me a lot more confidence when I see how you pulled it apart. Thanks for sharing. I hope this mod fixes our issues. Also got a dead fader that I'll get to when inside.
did you manage to repair your desk? i have a studiolive 16:4:2 and getting no sound out of it at all
I have the source equal to this damaged one, will you know what the value of Diode 19 is? Since this was busted and I can't find any diagram on the internet.

Mine has all inputs and output meters responding but no audio from Main, phones or any output. The problem was heat related and intermittent but now all the time. Any ideas to help? I am an experienced engineer but can't get a schematic anywhere and I live in Brazil now...Help!
i got same SL24.4.2 AI mixer, one Aux sending and Main out R, doesnot work. Could you please advise me or workout for me? Thank You
hi i think your trying to repair is the ADC board ( analog to Digital converter board) not DSP board. if the DSP board is faulty the result is hanged system. the GR is gated.. no input no output. and if the ADC board is faulty the result is some channel from 1 to 12 has no signal input output.
What you have installed behind each ic 7805? I see something installed after you soldered each one.
bang punya saya presonus 16.4.2 tidak bekerja mixernya hidup tapi hampir semua tombol lampunya menyala tapi di tekan tidak mau mati atau tidak ada respon.. bagian eq dan lain tidak bekerja.... bagian LCD tidak ada tulisan... minta solusinya bang.....
kalo sering ngefrizz kemungkinan di bagian mana bang kerusakan?? apakah di bagian power suplay?

Thanks for this video, mine just died at a show, plop screen rebooted and then eveything went down and did not work. I just used it for 10 times in 3 years. I still have it but after seeing this i maybe look into it one day. I guess the pcb but weird that it rebooted and then died…
EDIT: I found the problem R26 and D13 seem to be burned on the PCB, also R17 seems to have some blackend on one side, but this could be from D13. Anyone know how to get my hand o a new PCB, i think i can replace those components myself, but i don't like to work on a powerboard, because it hold chage.
If someone can give me the value of those components for replacement i could ask a friend to help me. Or know a place in Europe ehere i can order the 400-PG2PWR (however i saw that there is a newer version 410-PG2PWR?) i would be very happy

Hi, The 3 capacitors you showed @ 2:32 in the video, were damaged also? or they was ok but those capacitors were suffering due the low capacity of the old current regulator? Thanks for your help!!
the capacitor is sometimes damaged, the characteristics of the upper body enlarge as if it is about to explode. but if like other capacitors do not need to be replaced.

Meron po kami problema sa presonus namin na 24.4.2 Wala na po lumalabas sa lcd nya pero may power. Tapos hinde na rin ma control
Kumusta ka ..
suriin ang output boltahe ng 6 volts SMPS (Power supply). at sa ilalim ng module ng LCD mayroong isang module ng kontrol, subukang palitan ang regulator sa control module ng IC 7805.

Apakah indikator LED GR menyala semua..?? kalau iya berarti yg rusak modul Firewire.
kalau rusak DSP biasanya hanya beberapa channel saja yang tidak berfungsi.. kadang kadang beberapa channel berfungsi kadang mati.
