This was very useful for someone like me who is use to the old school way of turntables and cds instead of a laptop. Many thanks 🙏 unwards and upwards. 🎼👊🏾
Omg! Tooooo cute❤️ Love cats! Oh thanks for the advice! It’s been awhile since I used my phone on a mixing board..Need it for the gentleman’s club I DJ lol
Hello my friend..i have the GEMINI PDM7008 and i m trying to connect my phone ....i just use one wire (rca) or i need something more? I need the cell phone for a incoming calls for internet radio...THANK YOU
That’s fine and all but I have a DJ mix deck that only has certain amount of ports so I’m not sure exactly which one of those red and white plugs I need for that considering that it still has the red and white one is for bothWhen is for master and the other ones have one in to line in and out so my question is which one of these do I need to put these in without using my computer?
going from laptop headphone audio to mixer uses the cheap laptop audio converters. using an interface uses the interface's higher quality converters. (audio interfaces tend to have higher quality converters but may not always be the case for like super cheap $20 interfaces or something). that said. most people may not notice the difference at all but people like me will.
nothing is going to pop up on the laptop because you plug audio cables into it. it just allows you to send your laptops audio output to a mixer's audio input.
yeah I do that too. I use an apple airport express to connect to the mixer and i can just connect with my phone to play music. its the same 1/8in to rca plug
+Bella Jr. get an rca to 1/8in cable like in the video and connect the rca to one of the master outs and connect the 1/8in plug into your laptops mic input if it has one. use a free program like audacity to record a stereo audio track
@@SomaStudios what if the laptop doesn't have a mic input? Can you use a UCA to connect a USB cord? Will that mess with the sound quality? Is there another option?
+Pennybrothers4Life51 If all the audio you plan to use is only coming from your phone you can. you wont have all the functionality of a full dj setup though.
Hey that's my first DJ COntroller / set i have for like a few years or a couple years and recently like a year ago i got the Numark NVii (Standard bllack body-color) (ALso $700 for the NVii and like 200 or 300 for the MixTrack PRO 3)
I have a Numark NVii but at somepoint in like a year or two or so i'm gonna get the Denon DJ SC5000 Primie series D Jset and i can maybe give the just the middle mixer a try with the cables like on the video xD (also anybody 2019 watching or watched?
And also could i use my Numark NVii DJ controller on A ipad or Tablet / iPhone? ( I have the iPhone XS edition) And also i have the Serato DJ software on laptop aswell)
goddamn some of these questions you guys are asking are just plain stupid. some of you just need to stay away from DJ equipment. also, many of you guys might notice that hooking up the phone or laptop like this to a DJ mixer will often see rather noticeable drop in volume level coming from the phone even if you crank it all the way to max.. it's because of a few things.. the headphone jack on a cellphone or portable music player or laptop is the headphone jack, not a line out jack. they're not the same and output completely different levels.. it's passable mostly some phones are better than others. and most laptops allow you to switch between headphones out and line out be a software.. also anything that you're playing that is made for headphones.. like UA-cam or really anything playing through cell phones is going to have the high pass filter applied soon the sound.. there's no point in having your phone waste power and processing power in order to render a waveform that has low energy that no headphone in the world will ever be able to do recreate. so a high pass filter is applied to most audio coming through devices like that.. that means all your base that would come out of the subwoofer is not existent.. that's why DJ's that connect a cell phone to the DJ mixer always, always sound bad.

Hello my friend..i have the GEMINI PDM7008 and i m trying to connect my phone ....i just use one wire (rca) or i need something more? I need the cell phone for a incoming calls for internet radio...THANK YOU
I have a djm 500 pioneer mixer, I mix records, which output should go to my iPhone for a live feed, the booth or mixer?
use the thunderbolt dongle that connects to 1/8in and get a 1/8in adapter to RCA or whatever your mixer uses as an input.
So the sound is coming from tiny laptop speakers? Can you not hook up a mixer to a stereo amplifier? with decent powerful speakers?
@@davepostma2695 when you plug in the aux cable from the laptop into the mixer, you can send the sound from the mixer to more powerful speakers
Hi. I got a Numark M4 mixer. How can i connect it to a lap top that has no 3.5mm input? Is their another way?

So I have this DJ equipment that has the exact jacks in the back so, your saying there is a certain input that is needed. From phone to DJ equipment
@somarecordingstudios does this work for recording live streams on the laptop? Thanks!!
What would happen if I use the headphones output instead to connect to my phone. Will it work?
The connection only fits in to the earphone socket, blonde moment, do we still need to plug laptop in to mains
Dude is it possible to hook up 2 laptops for say a b2b with another dj in the club? I'd be using traktor software
Sir does it require an DJ software so that an music can work
Do you have to buy the cords or does it come with the actual mixer?
if you getthe mixer itself or the DJ set i think it gives you RCA to those ends
Thanks exactly what I need
Digging the CAT!
cat says: thanks!
Any benefits from going from laptop to audio Interface to mixer? Or is the signal strong enough direct from the laptop
going from laptop headphone audio to mixer uses the cheap laptop audio converters. using an interface uses the interface's higher quality converters. (audio interfaces tend to have higher quality converters but may not always be the case for like super cheap $20 interfaces or something).
that said. most people may not notice the difference at all but people like me will.
Can the same be done using the rca outs on a pioneer ddj sr to get the sound from phone to speakers?
you would want to connect the phone to the aux input. the rca output can only send audio, not receive audio.
Soma Studios thanks! Life saver for gigs!
I have a ammoon usb mixer how would i go by hooking it up i did wat i said in the video but nothing is popping up on the laptop

can u connect your phone that has a DJ mixer app and use from your phone
