So glad i picked up your channel when I did. Still sifting through the archive, but keeping up to date w/ Redemption 17 as well. What an epic journey. Thanks for sharing.
Thankyou Brian and Alex loved the whole deal ..big respect to all the cool people you've met and all you Brian fans... maybe I'll SEE YOU ON THE TRAIL...peace out
Brian Ive really enjoyed the R17 videos..EXCELLENT!!!!..both you and Alex have excelled in both riding and video output..really RAD guys!!! Hope to see more one day soon!!
I've been laid up for the past 2 months and haven't been able to ride so this has been my outlet to riding. Redemption 17 was epic and I can't thank you guys enough for posting some great videos. I can't wait for more! Live free, ride hard and get stoked, I'll see you on the trails!
Yeah, Brian! It's been an epic trip, and we are so lucky to have you guys sharing it with us through your videos. This is such great entertainment that I wish this could become permanent and grow much more. I believe you are making some of the best MTB content online, especially due to the mix of life in it, not just the riding. I'm finally at a point that allows me to give back something for all the entertainment you've given us so far and all that's still to come, so I'm really stoked about supporting you on Patreon. A small pledge, but I hope it helps out, keeps you motivated, and allows you to continue providing us with this look into a dream we'd all like to live. Cheers!
Hey Brian, just watched this whole trip like in 2 two days. I really appreciate all the time and effort you and Alex put into this series, for inspiring a lot of people just like me to get back on a bike and just ride. cheers all the way from Chile.
What a great video. Those trails look awesome. I'm sure you and Alex don't want the trip to end as much as any of us do. The content has been amazing with both of the channels. Keep shredding.
Thanks Alex and Brian for those three epic weeks of redemption! Loved all of them, gave me a lot of motivation and inspiration for my own trips. It really dragged me through my last weeks of exams and reports! Keep shredding!
Hi Brian, loved following you and Alexander on redemption 17, don't know what to watch now you guys will be finishing it. Really great to see how you guys put so much effort into making great videos and traveling to all these places. Keep up the good work and take it easy 👍🏻
BKXC yeah I watch your videos every day and Alexander's too, wish I could do the same sort of thing looks like you guys are living the dream and that's what it's all about! Thanks for the reply really appreciate man!
Wish this would keep going all year long!!! Your series with Alex rocked man. Loved seeing the progression in halls riding too. Totally inspired to do a road trip of my own one day.
dude... Sad to see Redemp17 come to an end but stoked to see you guys finally made it to Mulberry Gap. Bear Creek and the Pinhoti runs are sooooo sa'weet #ialwaysdreamofellijay
7:37 you hit the nail on the head brother , welcome to summer time riding in the deep south. you stop and it's like somebody flips the sweat switch...lol I really enjoyed y'alls road trip series !!
Bear Creek!! The first ever trail my dad took me on... Super fond memory, a lot of family and friends were with us, and for SURE what got me into the sport... Unfortunately my dad died 2 years later, but I like to think I'm riding in his legacy. Cartecay is a great shop too, hopefully I can make it back up to Ellijay in a few years (family has land out there) Great video guys, keep shredding!
Rad stuff! Have absolutely loved watching this series, especially because its on a lot of trails in my neck of the woods. Got me motivated to go out and check some more trail systems around me out. Excited to see whats next!
Everyone at Mulberry is amazing. The cabins are really cool, and the food is totally legit. We were there at the end of may and it was raining a TON then too, but the trails drain surprisingly well.
Sad to see this epic adventure end, but I know that there will more awesome ones in the future. Enjoy getting up in the morning to see what shenanigans you guyz got into. Looking forward to more cool things from you boyz...keep up this amazing life style.
I don't want R17 to end. Nice footage given the conditions. And the riding was still pretty darn fast and furious. Both you hooligans are darn good riders. I normally ride with cut-offs, but I may just have to get me a pair of those hand-up's. Love supporting good companies.
Brian, about your comment about new brakes, I personally recommend you get some XTR trail brakes if you do end up getting new brakes. They're easy to bleed, they work amazing, and especially if you combo them w the ice-tech rotors you're in for some major stopping power!
I strongly second that recommendation! If you don't want to drop major coin on XTR, XT is the bullet proof work horse of MTB brakes. Almost identical in performance, but a lot cheaper.
Or maybe go fully alternative and get TRP Quadiem G-Specs. I heard they feel even better than Guides and just as consistent as Shimanos. A little pricey, though not as much as Hopes.
Deartist 7 I had these on a Marin I rented this last weekend outside of London and I didn't like the as much as my xt upgrades. To be fair, it was a rental and I didn't check pads, bleed them fresh or anything though.
It was a great trip to follow you two one. Great fun, goofing off, one scary accident and a bunch of great locals and trails. Finally cought up to watch this epic bike trip. You and Alaxander have great chemistry and friendship, not to meantion Seth. Hope you guys do another tour like this. By the way I don't know how you do it, rod ng in high humidity, I can't a perspirate like crazy.
So what is next? Where are you going next? What's up with that cracked carbon rear triangle? Can you even look at a chicken nugget without sneering at it? or have you become one with the nugget? Also congratulations on having what looked like a generally fun time hanging out with your homie's. Keep up the collaboration work please. I really love that all 3 of you swear so much you have to tone it down to get ads from UA-cam. It's very relatable and genuine when you guys talk how you talk. Keep it up, there's a lot of riding season left.
Been awhile I commented. Another great episode again you two. I hate to see Redemption 17 coming to a close. Can't wait to see more from the two of you. 👍
You guys should've climbed past Bear Creek and rode Mountaintown. These are my local trails, it's awesome every time we ride, we always run into people from out of town. Cartecay Bike Shop is the best shop around. Great video!
great great series and well don to all of our southern countrymen its great to see that southern hospitality plus most MTB people are fine people , next year here's an idea st Lawrence river, Adirondacks, great lakes call it the high pines to fresh waves ride :)
You guys should consider hitting West MI. lots of trails to ride in close proximity. Plus we have Copper Harbor up North on the Keweenaw Peninsula. That one is kind of a drive though but its world class riding.
Hate that this is it already! I'm officially addicted to your show! Though I appreciate all your hard work, make your way over to Arkansas and Missouri! You're almost here!
So So So Rad, You guys never disappoint!!! Kinda bummed for the "this" part of redemption 17 to be at a close. But I am sure looking forward to the next things you have lined up too. With Seth in the Northwest and the camping with B1ker. Keep it all rubber side down and Live-Life-Loud!!!
Bought my first pair of hand up gloves at nembafest in Vermont. Awesome people and I told them I was interested because of your channel. Also met Nate hill and Phil up there. The gloves are awesome and a killer price
What am I go my to do with my life once R17 wraps up?!? So thankful to both of you for the series - will be supporting you both this week with more than just words.
I heard you were on your way up to Revelstoke. I highly recommend making a pit stop in a city a few hours from Revy named Kamloops. Amazing trails that seem to be right up your ally. Good climbs and even better descents. Another great city to check out for its trails is Kelowna. One or the other and you will be hooked with the interior of British Columbia.
Am I the only one who finds it that you hear much more than while riding yourself? Like the loud ass click of brian's shifter, or the constant drone of those hubs. Thats probably my favorite thing about these videos imo.
I did Bear Creek mid-March of this year when there was an unexpected snow fall...it quickly melted away which made for a messy run that morning but it was fun nonetheless.
what last one on Alex's chanel NOOOOOOOOOOOOO please make more. It's amazing to see how strong and fast Alexander has progressed through the videos you are truly a great friend for helping he through this.
I've really enjoyed your videos. I'm west of Phoenix and can only ride very early mornings right now, since it was 120 degrees yesterday. At least I can get some MTB fix in the AC, not as good as actually riding tho.
I don't think you need wicking material when your clothes are loose enough. Everything flaps in the wind, and you get natural cooling. Sweat becomes an issue when you layer up for colder weather.
Wrapping up in my backyard, kinda sad to see it end. The hot humid climate here is a killer, I can't tell you how many days a year I just stay inside when I should be out and about. I adapted by becoming a night owl.
I love this stuff, guys. Thanks for sharing !! (I just started mtb again... I have an old Gary Fisher hifi carbon).. Got into Gopro recently.. so yeah.. you can see where that is going !! Hell yeah guys, you are awesome !! \m/
Welcome to the jungle - not too many dry and cool days here in June. :D If you knuckleheads ever ride mulberry again I have an actual house with beds you can drive to in the time it takes to pitch a tent.
You did more then you know :). Hope to see you guys in Europe trip someday :). If you are near Croatia give a call, will be awesome to meet you in person. Stay STOKED
Brian, so happy I found your videos! Stumbled upon them looking for trails in SoCal and I have been following you, Alex, and Seth for the past couple months. You guys remind me of my old mtn bike buddies from college internship days, we used to ride in SC and Pisgah in NC. Getting back into Mtn biking has been such a blessing for me since much of the past year I was sidelined with a stress fractured shin that developed from playing soccer. Still not cleared to play soccer (my #1 love, I'm healed but has to do with new bone density being 100% before I can play again) but the Dr said I can bike! Just upgraded to a Bronson and loving it! Such great geometry for me. If you guys are ever in Orange County hit me up. Got my eyes set on Moab in the Fall! Question about your trip with Chasing Epic: is there an option to bring your own bike instead of renting through Chasing Epic? I'm following on facebook if it's easier to message there... Alex, this message is just as much for you, being injured sucks, awesome to see you getting back at it! living my own redemption 17!!!
That's awesome Josh! I love reading stories like this!! Yes, there is an option to bring your own bike. Hit up the contact form on Chasingepic.com and ask Steve about it before booking.

Those arms though
BKXC wow your bikes took a right hammering, you've broken something like every 3 days
You guys should just get a big ass van and live together for a year. This was the most entertaining series on UA-cam!
Haha I like having a house and a bed! Glad you enjoyed it!
Thankyou Brian and Alex loved the whole deal ..big respect to all the cool people you've met and all you Brian fans... maybe I'll SEE YOU ON THE TRAIL...peace out

Very cool!
awesome vids of Redemption 17... I think the 3 amigos altogether or in any combo of two's has great dynamics!
Yep, it's always better when we're together!
Brian, love the food and beer crawling additions! simple but adds flavor to your vids.keep up the good work
Hahah thanks Phillip
Bear Creek!! The first ever trail my dad took me on... Super fond memory, a lot of family and friends were with us, and for SURE what got me into the sport... Sorry to see R17 coming to an end, it was fun. But at the same time, I am looking forward to what is to come ! Awesome corroboration, guys !!
Plenty more fun stuff to come!!
Rad stuff! Have absolutely loved watching this series, especially because its on a lot of trails in my neck of the woods. Got me motivated to go out and check some more trail systems around me out. Excited to see whats next!

Great work, on redemption 17 Brian and Alex, best luck on whatever comes next. Cheers!
Thanks so much!

I strongly second that recommendation! If you don't want to drop major coin on XTR, XT is the bullet proof work horse of MTB brakes. Almost identical in performance, but a lot cheaper.
I just upgraded to XT brakes and 180mm rotors are so nice with stopping power. I just can't stand riding other bikes without them now.

Nice man, so glad you got 'em all in!!
REDEMTION 17 HAS BEEN AMAZING!! THanks for being such great biker and youtuber!
Thanks so much!
Lost my gloves yesterday after a ride, going to order the Pedal Hard Switchback. Perfect timing for the video and as usual another quality upload!
Fantastic!! Thanks James

Haha, Friday's video answers these questions!
Wow! Every trail head should have a bike wash, that's awesome. Great series of videos! Too bad it's coming to an end...
Yeah, the wash was awesome. Glad you've enjoyed the run Steve!
I wish you all the luck on all your future projects, keep the good vibe and have fun!
Thanks so much!!
So glad you visited Mulberry Gap and provided great footage of my favorite trails! Would love to join y'all next time!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I have been waiting since last fall for this one!!! Nice breakfast, but it looks like this trip took its toll on the bikes. Pain and pleasure.
Hahaha, awesome dude!!
Another killer ride. Sad to see it's over though. Have a safe trip back and keep shreddin'!

Thanks so much!! SWEET ideas!
yes it is
You guys should consider hitting West MI. lots of trails to ride in close proximity. Plus we have Copper Harbor up North on the Keweenaw Peninsula. That one is kind of a drive though but its world class riding.
Hahaha, we get comments about it every single day!
Finally got some decent breakfasts in you. This has been a great journey and I've enjoyed every minute of it.
So glad to have you along for the ride, Brian. Your support means a TON. So glad it's still interesting!!

Hate that this is it already! I'm officially addicted to your show! Though I appreciate all your hard work, make your way over to Arkansas and Missouri! You're almost here!
Thanks so much Kyle! We'll be back!
Really enjoyed all of redemption 17. I can tell you where tired in the end, high humidity with high temperatures are exhausting.
Thanks Kelvin, glad you enjoyed the adventure!
We're always making new stuff!!
18 miles and 3k... legit! That trail looked awesome - way different than my SoCal high desert trails for sure. Gonna miss these everyday vids!
Definitely an amazing landscape! Alexander wants to keep doing 3 days a week so there will still be plenty of videos coming!
Bought my first pair of hand up gloves at nembafest in Vermont. Awesome people and I told them I was interested because of your channel. Also met Nate hill and Phil up there. The gloves are awesome and a killer price
Hell Yeah!! I still haven't met Nate yet!
What am I go my to do with my life once R17 wraps up?!? So thankful to both of you for the series - will be supporting you both this week with more than just words.
Thanks a ton Ryan!! It's the reason we can keep going.

awesome man, r17 has been a wild ride man, great stuff thanks for the sick videos brian and alex
Thanks a ton Troy!!
Wow u guys are really ripping now
I'm kinda bummed the adventure has ended
Thanks for sharing
Thanks Jobbie!
Fantastic!! Thanks for the recc!
No problem. If you do decide to stop, shoot me a message, I can give you some trail ideas as well as good breweries/restaurants.
Cheers!
I live and ride in Florida, its like a sauna 8 months out of the year. I know how you feel about that sticky heat. It sucks!!
Am I the only one who finds it that you hear much more than while riding yourself? Like the loud ass click of brian's shifter, or the constant drone of those hubs. Thats probably my favorite thing about these videos imo.
I think think you have to focus so hard on the actual riding that your brain has to mute out all the other stuff!
My Wife wont let me sub on Patreon but in order to contribute I just submitted a subtitle for this video :) much love man!
That's a huge help!! Thanks
Yo Alex that jersey looks hella sick as dude! What's it called and where'd ya get it? Really wish Redemption 17 went on till end of the year🤘🤘👍
www.250london.com/race-jersey/tropical
youve really done a good job with the series. great video to end it for your channel.
Thanks dude!
I did Bear Creek mid-March of this year when there was an unexpected snow fall...it quickly melted away which made for a messy run that morning but it was fun nonetheless.
Hahaha wow!!
what last one on Alex's chanel NOOOOOOOOOOOOO please make more. It's amazing to see how strong and fast Alexander has progressed through the videos you are truly a great friend for helping he through this.
We're not dead! We'll keep making videos and get back together!
Was looking forward to the great videos from Alex and yourself. I could be wrong but you do look a bit tired, time to come home to the Bay area.
😁👍
I've really enjoyed your videos. I'm west of Phoenix and can only ride very early mornings right now, since it was 120 degrees yesterday. At least I can get some MTB fix in the AC, not as good as actually riding tho.
Wowzers!! Glad you're enjoying the vids, dude!
Yeah boi! Great vid! George, George, George of the jungle Watch out for that tree!🌲
🤘😎
Hahaha!
Hahaha I could see hiding out as a great option!!
Thanks for the entertainment man. Major props and kudos to both you 'Lara McNugget' and Alex 'BeardedBikerBeerman' aka Triple B!
Hahahaha thanks Jack!!
Awesome ride man. I'm sad being from the southwest I don't get to see a lot of the beautiful green trails. Just dirt and cactus for me. LOL
It was such a cool landscape!
I love this stuff, guys. Thanks for sharing !! (I just started mtb again... I have an old Gary Fisher hifi carbon).. Got into Gopro recently.. so yeah.. you can see where that is going !! Hell yeah guys, you are awesome !! \m/
Thanks so much Ray!!

Nooooooo....... Don't let it end!!!!! Bring Alex home with you to the west coast!
Hahaha, he'll make it out here eventually!
Keep rolling guys...these vids were fun!
Thanks Daniel!
Welcome to the jungle - not too many dry and cool days here in June. :D If you knuckleheads ever ride mulberry again I have an actual house with beds you can drive to in the time it takes to pitch a tent.
Hahaha, thanks Mike!
Loved this series of videos. Thanks guys.

Haha thank you John for the proper interpretation!
Nooooo dont let it end! That breakfast looked like my style all the way.
Our videos will still keep coming, no worries!!
BKXC, What bike where you thinking of getting next? :)
If I had to buy a bike today it'd be the Yeti SB6
Is Patapsco Valley State Park in Maryland on your radar at all? Over 100 mikes of trails as of now and still adding on.
