For your consideration: this is my "2 for the price of 1" spear conversion project. I have a medium length Cold Steel Shamburu spear. I got a leaf rake handle and a shovel handle at Lowes and attached the rake handle to the spike head and the shovel handle to the blade head. In lieu of one African hunting spear, I now have one Greek Javalin and one Roman Pilum.
