We used cut-resistant sleeves like that when working around lots of sheet metal and large panes of glass like in the window shop. We use the sleeves when working in the ceilings, pulling cables and such, lots of sharp edges on cable trays and metal structures and even sharply cut cable ties can easily cut you.

They do make chainmail sleeves which are even stronger and would hold up to you slicing on a piece of wood like you did and also fairly stab-resistant. Because it's chain mail
I wonder if that sleeve thing would help us in the fiber glass industry
Am I the only one thinking that stove as arc reactor from iron man xdd

Cut resistant sleeves: I work with metal and we use these sleeves every day. When the metal is 12ft long you need two people holding it, one on each end and holding like this can cause the sharp end of the metal to rub against your wrist or arms.

I had to wear those sleeves when I was working with sheet metal. It's very easy to get hundreds of cuts on your arms in a second when you are moving A/C cooling fins off of a stamping press.
I use Kevlar cut sleeves at my job working in a aero space foundry. They work well and have saved my arms many times over from being sliced open.

I work in construction and I've been required to wear cut resistant sleeves and gloves whenever working with glass, sheet metal or tying rebar because of the potential of a wire poke.
I have seen that cut resistance material in a few other videos and they always get through, although they always have a hard surface on the other side. I wonder if they would preform better with a soft surface behind them like flesh.
Emos be like... 4:29

Cut sleeves are used in factories. Great Dane trailers, window factories etc anywhere that has workers working with sharp material
the cut resistant sleeves would be good for construction work like sheet metal rebar or flashing, as well as on a slaughter line perhaps.

Those arms socks looks like they'd be good in a sword fight
your going to have to start a museum with crazy gadgets and stuff someday. ha

Disposable Aluminum is cheaper than paying that dishwasher at the banquet center to wash pans

I've had to wear sleeves like that in metal stamping plants. Sheet metal can be sharp.
