there's a joke that atzoatl is the reason why we don't have auto opening doors in the game, since in the past we just stormed through and killed them.
32:38 When you searched for the specific rooms you had chosen "Any". It means both Closed and Open rooms. So you got cheaper prices for temples that have these rooms, but you can't access them since the doors are closed. Try to set it to "Open" so you see only the temples with that room being open.

*Corrupted blood immunity intensifies*
A cool part about Incursion is that it can be utilized in different ways. You can either just put it on your maps for extra monsters, to farm valuable (corruption) temples to sell, or to run the temples yourself for specific items (incursion mods and uniques).
Incursion is my favorite mechanic in the first couple of weeks of league. If you can churn through Alva missions and always turn the temples into Chronicles instead of running them, selling the chronicles is a relatively consistent way to get a few divines to start purchasing upgrades for your character. I also really enjoy running the temples later on, too.
Unless you're going into the Locus of Corruption with a perfect item to begin with, it's hard to justify running it yourself. It has a 50% chance of ruining your item as well, which means you shouldn't put anything in there you can't replace. I often feed mid-tier unique jewels like Might of the Meek into the locus, as unique jewels have some good corruption implicits, and the jewels themselves don't have to be crafted first before they're "ready" to be used on a build.
Corrupting a gem at Doryani's institute can change a gem in two different ways. You generally want to increase the level of your gem and either increase the gem's quality or turn it into the vaal version of the gem (I feel like this is no longer an option from a couple patch notes ago, but I could be wrong). The chances of getting a level 21, 23% quality gem or level 21 vaal skill gem are pretty low, but most people are happy enough with a level 21 skill gem of any quality, when each level can be a 10% multiplier to your damage. Mid-league, I feed level 3 Enhance, Enlighten, or Empower gems into Doryani's Institute, as the odds of getting a level 4 version are higher than just using vaal orbs.
The best base to feed into the Sacrificial Chamber has been generally regarded to be belts. It's a long shot, but there's a chance you can get one of the two very expensive unique belts as an outcome. The Apex of Ascension, on the other hand, is expensive to buy on trade because of its ability to combine a unique item that only drops from the Temple with that item's associated Vial (drops from the boss) to make an upgraded version of that unique item.

You can usually press V to access the map of the mechanic you're doing. It's valuable with Alva when you forget which door you need to open :)
You can craft strongboxes as well; scour, engineer orb, alc, chaos, all that.
Few advices for Incursion.
1) Do not enter the temple you created right away. View temple first and take temple chronicle. You can still run it later, but if you get your hands on Locus of Corruption or Doryani's Institute room, you definitely want to sell it. With your current gear and understanding of crafting you will just waste double corrupt on some trash (you can't just double corrupt a bad item or gem and make it good, you need specific already good items/gems which can have great benefit from 2 specific corrupted implicits or level 21 and quality 23 for gems).
2) You can recognize rooms by their effects instead of names. For example Corruption chambers -> Catalyst of corruption -> Locus of corruption has the same effect "Reduces player maximum resistances throughout the Temple" on all 3 tiers. Doryani's Institute rooms have gems etc.
3) Utilize Empowerment rooms (upgrades 1/2 nearby connected rooms at t1/t2 and all neaby rooms at t3). Although it doesn't cost anything, it can let you get valuable rooms to t3.
4) If you have bad memory and lots of time during the incursion, you can open temple map and hover over doors to see which one opens which room. There's even a shortcut button, V by default.
5) If you accidentally clicked on Alva during mapping and missed what room you run, you can talk to Alva and press View temple, instead of Enter temple to see that window again.
Incursion is actually a good way to earn currency by selling chronicles. In my experience, when you know what to do, you get Locus of Corruption each 2, 3, 4 temples on average (6, 9, 12 maps) and some cheaper but valuable rooms almost every temple. The only limitation is the amount of Alva's missions. So I often spec into chance for map to grant Alva mission on completion in Atlas Tree when running lots of maps, if I have spare points.
You forgot the last tip: sell the most valuable chronicles in BULK. Each league I do that, min 10 pcs, as ppl who are rly focused on endgame stuff need a lot of double-corrupt room. EZ 10-20% higher prices per pcs.

Corrupt all unique quivers you pick up. The one you vendored would be quite a few divines if it hit additional arrows.

Love it! Fyi the item base type like Pig-Faced Bascinet isn't necessary the most important thing its really how good the affixes are. I suspect the guide recommended that helm because it is the highest armor str/dex helm. Probably because you should be going for a good spell suppression roll which can only show up on dex Items but you also want as much armor as possible. A Fluted Bascinet for example might have 70 less base armor but if it has more life and twice the spell suppression as your current helm it might be worth looking at it might even have an armor roll that gives it more than your current pig hat. The best in slot is surely a well rolled Pig-Faced Bascinet but there are many upgrades before you are anywhere near best in slot. Keep it up, I cant wait to see what you discover next!
32:52 Be aware that there can sometimes be lot of price-fixing when looking up items - at times it can be a good idea to ignore the first few listings, if they're priced considerably below the following ones.

I enjoy temples casually. My rules are to always upgrade unless it is the item or gem corrupt chamber. Then run for XP if no T3 corruption room.
Pretty fun, and I do it until around level 90.
Small note on buying items - always check the first few options. People can "price fix" and set things far lower than they're worth, so people will look at the first price listed and set it to that lower price. They'll buyout all the lower priced ones and resell. It can be hard to tell if its price fixed or not without the knowledge, but just scroll threw a few and check where prices are consistent, and not all sold by the same person.
This video seems to have been recorded before the Shaper and Elder challenges. Setting the Leap Slam to the left mouse button can indeed lead to a lot of annoying situations.

If you talk to alva in your hideout, she can open a completed temple like she can in a map, so you you can use all 6 portals to haul out loot.

If you're struggling with bleeding allocate soul of ralakesh, and soul of aaralakai on your pantheon. You can heavily reduce the effects of bleeding with it
Btw one reason incursion is good is it drops items with higher tier affixes than normal, so the loot explosions and mobs in the temple (especially the boss) can drop very nice rare gear.
Also when you enter an incursion, don’t move and nothing will attack, then you can press v and look at the map to make your decision there. That way you don’t need to kill every mob before entering to have time to read what you’re doing.
I REALLY like this league mechanic because its a blast. I specialise in Breach , Incursion and Delirium. I really love just blazing through 1000 mobs at once and earning very good xp while doing it.
I never managed to finish one of those since I always back down right after finishing the campaign, it was nice to be able to explore it!
I would love to see the end of Betrayal tho.

I use the Alva's for extra quant, stacks with beyond well. The temples can be sold for a quick divine, I hit somethong worthwhile 70% of the time or I run them for levelling new characters. Works best with fast builds though or I spec the extra seconds from the atlas tree if I really want to squeeze it.
In terms of profit Alva was ridiculously profitable this league whenever you got locus of corruption, on my last character I made 7 divs before finishing the campaign
Craftint is important to understand the items and what you Can actually have for items. Craft of Exile is a really good Page for this
My bud! you can modify strongboxes by applying some currencys on them, like quality (engeneer orb) or making them rares and/or rolling them using alches, chaos, etc.

My usual method is to make sure an Explosives Room is on the map, just in case I can't link to the Apex.
Someone must to say it: Uncorrupted strongbox can be modified by Alchemy Orb and etc for more drop. DO NOT open it white!
Running a temple you bought and expecting to break even or make currency doesn't really work most of the time. This applies to lots of other content as well.
The apex of ascension you bought is used to upgrade specific temple uniques with a vial. Re-rolling one random unique is a secondary use, but that's not worth the 40 chaos.
Double corrupt rooms are 7 div, and they are used for VERY specific high end items for a minor chance to make something extremely valuable. Using it on a random item you have is just guaranteed to lose you the 7 div investment. And even using it on an "appropriate" item that's actually good to double corrupt will very likely do the same, the chance to hit something good is abysmal.
That's sad!
When you aim to specific rooms, don't put the node that spam 4 Alvas per map, that reduces the chance to see the needed ones, because she doesn't repeat rooms on the same instance.
And you should read what you buy, there is a lot of people that likes to take your currency, even when is just a game...

Anyway, you may have already figured this out, but magic monsters add a lot of time in the incursions, that's why I love that one Atlas node that has a chance to make all the monsters magic.

I know you're on a time pressure so it's not always the easiest thing to do, but when you're in the temple you can press "V" and open up the minimap to see which entrances are locked.
Can also do that while in grace period after entering in case you looked and forgot…not that I do that every damn time…😂
Since you are already ahead in the actual game than those videos I assume you know this stuff but i'll say it nonetheless.
Incursion can be a lot of profit as you saw the temple that's worth 6 divines. You just need the knowledge of how to manipulate it to your advantage. Altho it's an old mechanic nowadays and the general rewards from it are not up to par with other stuff, it is still worth doing with a purpose. Some reward rooms like you saw on Maxroll are mechanics found only in the temple which makes it profitable and still worth running. Double corrupt chamber is mostly used on unique items since it's easy to just grab another one from trade site and slam it. There's a chance of nothing happening, bricking an item essentially making it useless etc so it's a gamble worth doing on items you can easily get another pair of. You can get Corrupted implicits like +1 to all socketed gems which will be a huge DPS boost and what not. Doryani's institute will give you a chance to double corrupt a gem which the outcome might be a level 21 and 23% quality gem. Another cool thing found only in the temple is some of the teal colored items that showed on your loot filter. They have what we call a "temple mod" on them which is specific to items dropped from those chest in the temple. Depending on the meta builds within a league they can be very valuable as well. So while it's generally not worth running just for the sake of it, those certain mechanics found only in the temple make it relevant today.

FWIW, the 4 incursions per map atlas passive was quickly discovered to be a “noob trap.” Each incursion in a map must upgrade different rooms. As such, doing 3 incursions across four maps (verses 4 across 3) gives each individual room in the temple an additional chance to upgrade, increasing the odds of getting one of the coveted T3 rooms.
That's not quite true. If a level one room you want to get to get to lvl 3 is already revealed, then you want 4 incursions to make it more likely to get the room you want to upgrade, especially with the atlas passive to get an additional upgrade you just pray to hit lvl1 to lvl 3 in one go. The ideal strat would be less then 4 incursions per map and then 4 incursions when you have the base lvl1 room you want to upgrade. Otherwise you are more likely to get back to back rooms you don't want.
for reason you described - you can leave and DONT touch alva's next mission to start rerolling rooms on the next 'batch of 4' (assuming you didn't hit 1 => 3 conversion, or just got needed too to spawn). Otherwise this 4 nodes gives you 33% more incursions per map, which is better that 3 for juicing
By the way, it seems you haven't add elder mods to your items. They can be powerful and separate for existing mods. You use those embers and ichors to add them. One mod from each if them. You may want to check which mods are good to you before rolling, but there are things like attack speed or spell suppression, so they really count.
Your enjoyment of discovering this game is the envy of every other new poe streamer. Its like you already gained the insight of a third ascendancy while others are still stuck with their fafo builds.
regarding juice worth the squeeze.... buying temples you really need to be min maxing temple purchases over many many runs... and hit a good double corrupt on an item that people desire. Then you hit jackpot. However, imo I avoid doing that, because you could spend those 6 or 7 divines on a temple with corruption chamber and it just delete the item.... then you start all over again. So the sustainability of it is quite difficult unless you already have a bunch of currency. just my opinion.
I also will run incursions passively while mapping, to farm item's with incursion specific modifiers.
So much stuff to do and get better at in this game. One of a kind arpg of alltime.

This was my first league i played after 4 years of standard. Made more and did more in that league than i ever did in standard. Its okay atm, u can make solid money getting t3 gem and t3 corrupt rooms (easier with atlas passives) and they sell for a pretty penny.

I look forward to one day seeing some crafting when you get super used to things, Crafting in PoE is insanely fun (when you succeed) sadly it's one of the most complex parts of PoE since you need to meld so many different League mechanics and crafting methods for most good stuff

The most important thing is kill the correct architect, then open and connect the rooms. if you never connect rooms they are worthless if you cannot get to them.
the map around 8 min, the corrupted one, had one of the worst mods, -MAX resistance, so if you had 75% it's now 65%, because it was -10%. That means you always take more elemental dmg. that's just a mode to avoid if you can.
also if you want to get to the King of the mists stronghold, the wisps DO NOT like him. That should be a big enough hint
You can do 1 alva round on a high tier map then drop down tiers for the next 3 rounds for speed and getting doors open.
Alvas missions is awesome.
And last comment for real get your jump out of your left click button, put it as walk only ALWAYS xD Put your jump on an other key like your "w", you don't need your teleport if you got jump !!!
I love Incursions. Is an easy way to get money when you start mapping without much trouble.

yeah alva is really unrewarding, except rare boss drop and double-corrupting item and gem, there's no consistent strategy that feels good. but I like the concept like Terminator xD
I absolutely love alva! Incursions for life. For someone who lags and plays on 5-15fps, alva is the way to go as well, unfortunately.
Maybe you shouldn't run corrupted maps with double damage mods and minus max res and then juice it up to the gills with wildwood. Just a thought, though.

The Affliction Glitter juices up the rest of the content to both incredibly dangerous and incredibly lucrative levels. Be mentally prepared for the fact that the amount of loot you've found this League is NOT normal. Next League overall loot drops will likely feel smaller in comparison.

Word of advice, unless your DPS very good (and yours not), you might consider not juicing maps when doing Incursion. Rares and bosses might become very tanky, meaning you might not be able to kill them in time.
Also, already confirmed taht Alve will be in PoE 2. In first gameplay trailer taht was show on last ExileCon she is one of NPCs, who actually guides us through mission in one of Vaal temples.

Albeit very soon that wouldn't matter. League is almost over, and league mechanics guaranty will be carried to following leagues (it's too OP)
4 alva in a map is actually a downgrade. you can't get a chance to upgrade the same room twice on the same map. people that aim for specific upgrades usually also leave a map once they do an alva with that one, since it won't appear again there.

Please take your leap slam off of your m1, it's really slowing you down. You could instead put Molten Shell if you have gem slots so you're a bit more tankier

If you corrupt an item, you have a small change to get some crazy mod. Mostly you make it useless. The problem is, you need to corrupt crazy expensive item which already have it all to get something you couldn't get otherwise.
There are items called Hinekora's lock. It allows you the check the result of corruption before corrupting the item. The catch is, you loose the lock every time you use it and it costs now 12000 chaos orbs. You may need 50 or more to get what you want, so top crafting is not for those who are broke.
The most interesting rewards in the temple are
1. Corruption Chamber t3
2. Gemcutter's T3
3. Sacraficial chamber t3
As all of those 3 are big gambles.
1 can cause your item to get a double corruption (which can result in BiS items)
2 can cause gems to double corrupt (21 23 gems)
And third can turn (via sacrfici g) a 1 alch unique into a 200 divine unique
People typiclly pay a fortune for temple pri ts with those rooms as t3

I think a follow up video of you actually delving into the mechanics and how to mix max them would be nice, you're not really understanding whats good about them for what I can see. Maybe watch some tutorials first
And besides, without trying to be insulting, you really look like a fool by not watching any guides/explanations about all of the game in general, especially in this video... Ofc the game is kinda weird sometimes, but looking at trailers isn't enough ^^" Anyway i know it's frustrating to watch a new uninformed player discover this game but you've been doing fine-ish and been quite entertaining, so keep going !
The issue is that most casual gamers arent going to spend time on that. There is probably hundreds of hours for educational content around POE, but a normal gamer isnt going to spend all that time learning about a game when they could just play it. I enjoy POE myself, but Im not going to act like "you should study before even getting to the first town" is good advice. A game should teach through play, not by relying on 3rd parties to be their tutorial. Why do you think POE has issues with holding new players at times? Its the lack of proper explanation to the complexity, not the complexity itself imo.
