WOW i love mlb the show 21 and mlb 21 and baseball and mlb and love to play diamond dynasty, battle royale, ranked seasons, road to the show, career mode, franchise, tips, gameplay, news, roster updates, xp, how to, stubs, and more!
I am definitely not the 1st Person to make a video about this, I just figured I would because I've had people asking me to and if it helps at least 1 person, I'm happy.
For this method, I would highly recommend not being a two way player. Choose either a position player or a pitcher, stick with one loadout, and focus on that.
Sometimes progress does not track. To fix that add your CAP to your DD team, if they are already there, remove and add them back, go into a play vs CPU game in DD and then play 1 inning or at bat depending on if you are a pitcher or hitter, and then quit, and then your progress should start tracking. I have a solution for pitching twin
If you are a two way you have to have two different squads one for you as a position player and one as a pitcher and every time you pitch/hit you have to change the squad based on what you are doing. If you hit make the main squad the one with the position player, if you are going to pitch have the dd squad with the pitcher be the main squad and you obviously change the load out to which one ever you are playing as so you aren’t out of position in the dd squad
Twin do you know which diamond archetype has catcher as the primary because secondary doesn’t work
Can you make a video on how to make your two way player to just a fielder
By the way "your fix" works for 2 way players. I have a SP and LF player. SP is 72 and LF is 63. Just finished my first MiLB season.

im a 75 ovr and have been getting frustrated playing everygame with no some progress every game but this really helps

I use the hawk which is contact, then power, then fielding and the diamond is godly my power is in the 90’s with like 115 each contact because of gear
Here’s a method on the stuck progression. For your position/hitter player. Activate your player. Then go to DD & play a single player game vs cpu. Play as the away team & bat your guy as lead off. Bunt, strike out or get a hit (doesn’t matter) just finish the AB. Then go back into RTTS & your progression will start tracking. FOR PITCHERS...activate your pitcher. Go to DD. & start him as the pitcher. (U have to sub out your position player) face one batter then quit & go into RTTS & your progression will track for your pitcher archetype

You can also use created stadiums in RTTS and still have stats track.. I got a stadium 275 down the lines with 1 ft walls and highest altitude for extra base hits probably will sim away games now and then get extra base hits at home

Does this actually work
I really hate that the game relies so heavily on your character overall rating I've played 3 seasons in AAA had ridiculous stats every season led in HRs, RBIs for the last 2 seasons went to camp twice for the Oakland As but still got sent back to AAA even though during spring training I led in all hitting stats.
So basically simulate through the road to the show
What’s the point of playing
1:50 - 2:40: let me sum up the main new feature of MLB The Show 21 RTTS is you can be a 2 way player, well that's broken af so here is a way for you to get you diamond then you can start another RTTS when your ballplayer has diamond
Also if your rtts isn't working, just reopen Dimond dynasty or restart the game, usually just needs 1 try for me
I've tried this for the past while and I'm pretty sure it doesn't work anymore

I upped my sliders all the way and I still get progression as a 2way player doing DD method. I'm at diamond right now as slugger going like 4 for 5 every game and 89 overall. Might try this method on a pitcher though to get badge better on my current 2way
How do I get a catcher as my main position
Are you saying we are upgrading our load out and basically if we make a new road to show our load out will be upgraded
Yeah you can carry load outs to new RTTS players
If I got 5 pitches how do I get back to 3 pitches

No the method doesn’t work for pitchers I’ve been stuck at 23 inning pitched for two days. I just quit RTTS until it’s patched 😑
I know how to upgrade my player. The problem is the changes I see in my loadout screen doesn't show up on my diamond dynasty created player's card. On my loadout i'm an overall 76 but in diamond dynasty my guy is still overall 65 and sucks??

Just got called up to the MLB and man in getting overmatched when I'm batting even with gold archtypes I'm batting like .267 with 1 HR in like 7 games .. pitching I'm doing much better I'm 2-0 with a 1.08 ERA
@Todd Lerfahndler well I was batting. .313 in AAA & .333 in AA
So the fastest way to progress is to not play the game? Just sim the whole thing? And how do I progress my bronze slugger after I complete 20 extra base hits? The repeatable barely give any progress.
Diamond dynasty, it’s annoying that you have to do it but that’s the only really good way to progress quicker

What archetype did you chose it’s taking forever with Slugger
I've played like 20 games and my rating is stuck at 54 ovr....my sliders are default..
For some reason the stats just aren’t saving when i do this. Does the video in the description help with that?

If you want to be a catcher u have to look at the preferred positions. If it doesn’t have catcher then u can’t play catcher
I played for like 4 days with no problems at all with the progress tracking fix then last night I was having to do it every other game I really wish they’d fix that

Is anyone else trying to be a catcher??? For some reason it only lets me use my player as a catcher with secondary position and my player has 97 fielding but drops every other ball and jumps up into a throwing position after every pitch and it’s really annoying. When’s the update for the game coming out cuz I can’t deal with this anymore
Yea my catcher was dropping balls too and he had the diamond fielding and power archetype and had 99 all fielding but couldn’t catch for shit so I just moved him to 3rd and his diamond shield shows up

I'm an Xbox noob and actually bought this game, not just used on gamepass even though that is great, because I love baseball and have heard such good things about it for years. I will say I absolutely suck at this game and hitting has been so hard for me especially for diamond dynasty team affinity and missions and stuff. That however isn't my complaint my biggest complaint is I have a job and kids and wanted this game for road to the show. I literally play my player on every sports game as I can watch it grow and can do it casually in my own time. The road to show, my player, in this game is probably the worst of all sports games I have ever played and that's saying a lot. In seeing posts apparently they changed it for the worst this year but just sad because I will probably stop playing it because I am too bad to play online, and don't have time or probably ability to get better, and the single player is just bad offline
Create a new player and just use him on a custom roster in franchise mode. Much funner that way if all you are looking for is offline single player

Been trying to find the path to the catcher primary position diamond badge. Says my dude has it as his secondary but he doesn’t play like it. Plays like it’s out of position
That’s the same exact thing that happens to me. My guy is a 91 overall rn but has short stop primary and has 97 fielding with like 80 blocking as a catcher but drops every other ball and stands up into a throwing position after catching each pitch and idk wtf is going on it’s so annoying
@@blpbroke6735 yea exactly what I’m talking about he like can’t throw runners out or even make it close cause he does a whole wind up to throw down. I have like 4 gold ss badges and I don’t want a SS I want a C haven’t seen any fixes pretty much have done every path except the speed one and I doubt the diamond catcher badge is there
@@JD-oj3wm I have the diamond slick fielding archetype and it has the primary position as catcher

I completed the bronze to silver for that cause my bronze slick fielding is a C primary but then the 3 archetypes it gave me to choose from that program is sparkling slickster slugging slickster and speedy slickster. Which is LF CF and then SS. What path did you take? I can’t find one to save my life I’d appreciate if you can help me out
@@mauriceelder8082 I also have diamond badge crime dog and iron man and they are both 3B thought those would take me to a power catcher path but I’ll just take any primary C at this point

On Xbox yesterday, I couldn't get any of my games to count for the perks and I'm not sure why.

@@wonki4617 I just made 2 squads, one for my position player and one for my pitcher but I just played a game as pitcher and it still didn’t count. I picked my loadout for pitcher and it still didn’t work. I am able to get progress on my position player but nothing on pitcher. how do you change which squad is the main?
@@michaelzuazo5116 to change the main one you have look at the top, see which one you are on and either press R2/L2 (not sure what it is on xbox, so basically the two big triggers in the back) if its on the first on Press the right trigger and if its on the second one press the left trigger then if your on the one with the position player/pitcher leave and change your load out in diamond dynasty then leave diamond dynasty and go back to road to the show.

I'm just not going to play this game until they update it. I personally like mlb the show 20 better anyway. And this lack of tracking my stats is such a pain in the ass along with this overly complicated level up system... if I play well I should get better in whatever respective role I perform well in. Simple as that. This shit is extra for no reason and I feel it's just a gimmick to make people wanna play Diamond Dynasty..ill pass. Mlb the show 20 is just fine for now. If they update and change a few things then maybe this game will be worth it. But probably not.
