Still I am writing a novel and my characters live there, and you were just driving there where one of them lives. So I have good possibilities to describe the view. Maria
I see that this was posted in 2016. I was looking for something that included the old Reynolds Metals downtown building in about 1967. I used to work there.
Thank you for not having annoying music playing in the background. You are the best. I lived in the area 40 years ago. Planning a visit this summer and thinking about retiring there...thanks for video. Like someone said, the streets do look clean.

In today's society Big City mentality is what small town mentality used to be and small town mentality now is what big city mentality used to be. But nowadays in a small town you walk around high or drunk an nobody bats an eye, you walk around being yourself and everybody loses their minds and that's shameful. It's all thanks to the complete 180 of society. In Richmond, VA or in any city respect is everything.
Thanks! I live in Finland and I am writing a book about characters who live in Richmond. This was very useful for me - and what a soft and good driving. Mia
Ah, I wanted to write a book about mercenary, not so much about the fighting and killing but the PTSD and how to live with it. Richmond was taken because of the gun laws which seem to be not as hard as in California where I at first put them. My subject is history, military history, and I can´t write about Finnish SOFs.
@@nick_aheh We're moving here from Atlanta and neither of us really liked it. It was more expensive to live there and more difficult to find a job. Plus we just liked how easy it was to get around Richmond and everything it had to offer. Mountains and beaches are a short drive away, it's closer to other states and cities, and the people were more friendly. I really like the history, myself. It's got a lot to offer and the COL is pretty reasonable.
Hi I just dropped in out of curiosity. Richmond Virginia looks like a nice place to me, very reminiscent of quite a few places here in the UK.. Thanks for posting! 👍

I Love This City Is My Heart!!
I'm from California but last year I went over to Virginia, I got family in Chesterfield but my favorite place to visit was Richmond! So beautiful
Alot of people are moving to the south
Chesterfield is a part of The Greater Richmond Area.
Chesterfield is the county surrounding the Greater Richmond area. Don't get it twisted there's a few differences between Richmond and Chesterfield.

Great video and I love the fact you just hear traffic noise and no annoying music. The streets do look clean like someone else mentioned.
Thanks for commenting! :)
Looks cleaner than any place here in Los Angeles.
Yeah! L.A. Is dirty but it's more attractive than Virginia.
This isn't Southside it's dirty asf in Southside
I was born here in 1960. Love this city.
