I really enjoy your videos when you tell about the history and have the music background like in the Fredericksburg video love seeing the place but some cool jazz would be great with the walk.
Thanks James! I mostly get comments about how people are glad there is no music in it and they appreciate the ambient sounds, but I do get some that would like music. Maybe there is a way to do both. I do enjoy cool jazz though. Thanks for watching!
Richmond has came up A LOT! Gentrification had a lot to do with it but... this my hometown I live about 20 minutes south of the city now in the burbs. Lots of nice restaurants and bars, history. Club scene is ok, not quite like a major city but depends on your style (never really been a club person it’s dead to me). Basically a two hour ride from Va Beach, apple picking in the mountains, Maryland/Washington DC and even NC give or take with traffic... makes good for day trips! I can be your tour guide LOL...but seriously!
Thanks for watching Chance! Richmond is a cool city with a lot to offer. Sounds like the Richmond 300 Plan is going to take the city to the next level. Take care! 💙😃

Hi. A nice video. I’ve been to Richmond and VA many times. It’s a nice place. I live close by in Baltimore, MD. I’ve been thinking about moving down there for a while. I’ve only visited VA but have never lived down there. Is the day-to-day crime in Richmond low? Does it feel safe living and walking in the city everyday? Some places look just run down but I think that’s just how the city was originally build with a colonial design. Are rooms to rent pretty cheap down there in an average full-time working income? Are winters in Richmond with hardly any snow or no snow at all being in the Southeast Sunbelt too? Thank you very much. 👍🏻
From here, I remember these homes and houses. Witcomb court, Mosby court, Highland Park and south side. It’s very clean here, live in Connecticut now. You don’t see no trash and papers on da ground. 💯💯🤙🏾🤙🏾👌🏽👌🏽🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️❤️❤️. You can tell people value there communities here. They still have the brick sidewalks. Lol
im from southside i love my city just be careful in southside , northside , or at night or around certain crowds richmond is a world of its own but it is very grimey and can go down at any minute tbh but in the city part near VCU is safer and chesterfield but richmond in general can get real
@@allikhaur While I don't live in Richmond, I can say that I've never felt unsafe there and always see people walking around. I haven't been down any dark alleys at night, but I try to avoid that anywhere. Every city/town has nicer areas and areas to avoid. Stay safe! 💙

Right. "Gorgeous city". Now go do a search for any video with the phrase "Richmond, Virginia Hoods" in the title. Richmond is not called "Stoney's Ghetto" for nothing.
You really have to know where you are going. I was there in August, 1975 and toured. I stopped for lunch. After I had entered the restaurant and sat down, the waitress gave me a coldest stare and the dirtiest look. After a minute or two, she asked me: What ' ll you have?! I said slowly being very scared: a hamburger.. and French fries... and a chocolate milkshake. Then the two men working on the street came in for lunch. One was in his forties and appeared to be the supervisor of the other in his thirties. I saw the older one motion with his thumb to the younger one while I was looking through the large mirrors behind the waitress. Before they sat down, he said: I didn't know that they served n______ in here.
Hey there. There are two camps with these; some people want music and commentary, and others like the ambient sounds. We try to put interesting facts in there, but I guess that's why it's called slow TV.
Monumentless Avenue has destroyed their beautiful avenue and art work for political reasons and was lawless when outsiders decided to take them down. Be very cautious in the city crime is still high.

Richmond has a mix of Nothern and Southern feel in the City

There are a lot of northerners that like to move down here. Guess it ain't fun paying $3,000 a month for a studio apartment lol

What day of the week and time was this ?
This was on a Saturday. I believe I filmed in the late morning/early afternoon.
Just recently I took the st. Johns Episcopalian church tour for $10
Stay at the Jefferson Hotel if you can.
