I totally agree with you and it's still very affordable for the quality it provides. I bought a TCL for my PS5 for the first time this year and I'm really satisfied, I even have a TCL QLED 65C805 which costs 850 euros and has almost everything that the QM8 has except for a few things, that's why it's cheaper. Until this year, I only bought Samsung, LG or Sony TVs, until I found out that lately they break down so quickly because they don't care about quality anymore, they just sell their name and that's why they will be overtaken very soon. This is total nonsense to me and there is no logic at all, they build their reputation for years through innovation and quality, and when they rise and become one of the best brands, they start selling bad products at a very expensive price and the quality is a disaster. No matter how high you are, you always have to think that if you start producing products whose quality is a disaster. OK, there is still innovation, but that's it, and you always have to make a quality and innovative product, because when you're high and you don't follow these rules, you'll fall very low, and the higher you are and you don't worry about it, the lower you'll fall and fail. That is why I hope that TCL will not do the same stupidity as the leading manufacturers of TVs and other technologies, such as raising prices and producing bad products.

I’ll be using two TV’s, my parents 2014 Sony TV (full HD 1080p no HDR) and the recently bought LG OLED C2 4k TV which supports HDR and 120hz. I do have an old Sony CRT tv from 1996 that’s 29 inch kept in the storage I’d love to experiment and play around when buy the PS5 pro using some sort of HDMI to rca converter.
My TCL 85X955 has everything and with the mini led its almost as good as oled black. But it has more nits than a oled. I also have a LG C4 so i can compare it.
Nothing wrong with miniLED. Because TCL is budget does not mean they're worse compared to others with a much higher price tag. The tech is mostly the same. No one is sitting at a 70° angle and a pitch dark room in order to complain about blooming. You will not see it in normal use cases. I also have a G3 with an MLA panel but not for gaming. It's for watching movies from physical media in the first place. For console gaming my Sony from 2020 should be more than enough.
I definitely wouldnt leave out the TCL, Hisense, and Vizio. Those ones tend to look much better than the similarly priced budget models from Sony, Samsung, and LG. The latter brands are best once you get up to their flagship models in both LCD and OLED. But theres a big price jump to flagship. Just get something with a good contrast ratio and quality HDR with high nit count. If you are going to bother going with the top brands, just go all the way with a nice model. Otherwise, budget brands are better value for picture quality in gaming.
I have a 65 inch LG G3 OLED TV. Is the G4 that much better, or is it fine to stick with what I have? I wasn't able to get the G4 since it hadn't come out yet and needed a TV for my apartment that I moved into in March with my girlfriend. I figure the PS5 Pro will look beautiful either way once it arrives.
@@robsauceda4087meh, my tv doesn't have HDMI 2.1, and I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything; even the ps5pro isn't pushing 4k 120, so why need HDMI 2.1? My tv with HDMI 2.0 can handle 4k 60 and 1440 120, these are more realistic targets for the ps5 pro anyways.
@@jayjayhooksch1 how do u know the ps5 pro isn’t pushing 4k 120 lol its common sense that more devs will utilize this extra power for better performance modes as well, Sony just did a horrible job of showcasing the ps5 pro lol
@@robsauceda4087 I know because the CPU is a known quantity and will be a bottleneck for 4k 120 gaming; comparable and even better CPUs can't hit 4k 120 targets with the best graphics cards available. You can't optimize your way out of a cpu bottleneck.
Hiesense is a pretty good midrange tv and will be acceptable for the pro especially for 144hz gaming; if Sony unlocks that. I’m sure it will look great. I’m just an OLED fanboy.
I’m team Sony overall tv wise. A80j still going strong with my ps5. And movies. But gaming wise I like the LG C series. I’d probably get one once I get a house and my man cave. Primarily for my Xbox.
Hey man, your tv should be solid. i.e 120hz, VRR, OLED. However because it’s a bit older, it may not be as bright. Overall, I’d say it’s got some gas left in the tank.
Don’t bother with this nonsensical bullsh*t. Play what you enjoy and what suits your budget. If your TV supports 4K HDR or you’re gaming on a 1440p monitor, you’re good to go, and you’ll notice the difference at 60fps. That’s what matters. Everything else is just a bonus, and you can upgrade when you’re ready. Interestingly, all the PS5 Pro demos they’ve shown have VRR turned off because they’re aiming for 60fps with improved resolution, offering what they call fidelity mode at a higher frame rate, which your current TV can already handle.
@@MrVinmanfonzo I asked how does he know Sony turned off vrr for the demo not about your Hisense lol although no hate to the brand as they have premium options for these all the features consoles advertise

Ur right on most somewhat. But Samsung qd oled are the best tvs. Quantum dot. S90d is better with colors and pop cause the glossy screen. S95d has lower contrast and color saturation due to matte screen finished. Lg g4 gets bright but colors bleed out because of its woled color scheme
I upgraded from C1 to S95B, the improvement that QD-OLED offers is ground breaking. So buy yourself the cheapest 55 inch QD-OLED you can find, it doesnt matter which one.
People disagreeing about outside the Big 3 when the big 3 themselves aren’t that great. LG C series is too dim for HDR and unplayable in SDR G series is bright but lacks BT.2020 colourspace Sony sucks at gaming TVs, their own Bravia 9 can’t beat A95L in anything except brightness and A95L sucks for gaming compared to LG and Samsung by a huge margin Samsung has issues with things like dropouts or poor software os tizen and remote not great compared to magic remote of LG, then u have to calibrate it coz it is oversatured out the box, so BT.2020 is unnaturally vibrant without settings adjustments and S95D is matte. And S90D has game issue stuck at 850 peak and of course they don’t have DTS, Dolby vision is a misunderstood thing it shouldn’t be a dealbreaker
Yes sir your c2 should be fine. I am rocking with Samsungs last year model myself and I am beyond content. I just wanted to promote the latest products.
You don't need to. I have a G3 OLED and can tell you that you're not missing out on anything. The only problem with LCDs is blooming but people tend to blow it out of proportion. The QM8 does offer over 500 dimming zones. I'm still owning the first HDMI 2.1 compatible Sony with just 32 dimming zones and it was never an issue to be abuse no one is playing at a 70° off angle. If a TV was ok for a PS5 it will still be ok for the Pro as well. It's not like your standard will change because of a new console that is not much different compared to the one you are already playing with. I'll not buy a Pro because the price tag is too crazy. Here in the EU it's 800€ + 100€ for the disc drive.
It's a great TV. Bright enough for a HDR impact, the good processing and low input lag making it a nice choice for gaming. There's still some blur at 4k@120hz but it's really hard to see if you're not pressing your face to the panel and counting pixels. Unlike other TV manufacturers (even TCL and Hisense fixed this and allowed local dimming with VRR) using the same Mediatek SoC, Sony never fixed it and it does not look like they ever will. Also missing local dimming with activated VRR is not worth turning on this feature.
You need to do more research there’s a bunch of 4k 120 games on the pro resident evil village and RE4 remake to name a few, and several that will have unlocked frame rates
Yeah brother u kinda off on this one of the best reviewed tv on rtings is the Hisense u7n and u8n even the tcl qm8 is decent. TVs are like guitars. You can spend $1000 on a Mexican Fender that will perform at a top tier level or you can spend $2000 on an American one and while it does have some advantages it’s not worth double unless you have the kind of funds to justify. Now that's what i am talking about tell it like it is tell it like it is.
Yeah I like this dude non-biased informative video 👍🏾
@@daveb9402 is not realiseren budget it was 3500 euro. But for the inch is much cheaper.
You can certainly do a PS5 on a TCL like the QM7.
Stick with the G3. I have Last years Samsung S95C and it very compatible as is your G3.
@@Vallie.B Bet. Thanks!
Great vid. thanks for the info. got my ps5 pro preordered cant wait. New sub here btw. keep up the great work
@@MasterfulIntentions Thank you for the sub and the kind words.
My TCL 55 inch c655a blows every tv on tour list...120 refresh rate hdmi 2.1 ONKYO subwoofer i paid $650......i laugh at your selections😂
Yea the hdmi 2.1 spec is really what’s needed
@@jayjayhooksch1 then what’s the point of the ps5 pro lol, realistically games will come out utilizing the hardware for more frames
I have the Hisense U8N 75 inch and its fantastic. But im more into movies watching in 4k with lossless Atmos sound.
Hiesense is a pretty good midrange tv and will be acceptable for the pro especially for 144hz gaming; if Sony unlocks that. I’m sure it will look great. I’m just an OLED fanboy.
@@Vallie.B you like what you like!
I’m team Sony overall tv wise. A80j still going strong with my ps5. And movies. But gaming wise I like the LG C series. I’d probably get one once I get a house and my man cave. Primarily for my Xbox.
Will i still be able to get 4k 60 fps on my TV? Its a Sony 2018 4k hdmi 2.1 60hz model.
Upgrading from a base ps4.
Yes
Hey bro do you think the LG c9 flagship model is a good TV for the pro or should I upgrade
I agree mate,I have a 2 year old 60 Hz Bravia which will do just fine,ALLM dulls everything down too much,People fall for any old bullshit👍🏼
How do u know they turned off vrr lol
@@Leweise that is true 👍
@robsauceda4087 it's just tasters choice when it comes down to it ,I know my hisense u8h is almost as good as my sony aj90 oled
@@MrVinmanfonzo I asked how does he know Sony turned off vrr for the demo not about your Hisense lol although no hate to the brand as they have premium options for these all the features consoles advertise
TCL is best budget gaming tv
Still rocking my A90J 65 inch. I’ll get a new TV around PS6.
Qled tvs from tcl and hisense have really good contrast quite good blacks not as much as an oled but atleast you dont have burn in issue, and most of them at 144hz+game modes with lots of support for games, these offer really good image quality at way lower price compared to an oled tv.
He clearly doesnt have a clue he should mentioned this for people who cannot afford an oled tv.
People in pc space craves for actual qled monitors but they arent any much as tvs in the market, because you dont have burn in isssue.
Dont listen to him if you have lower budget just buy a tcl or hisense qled tv they are great for theyre price and more than enough for ps5 pro.
I currently own a 55 LG CX, 65 LG C1 & 77 Samsung S90C QD-OLED! Do you think my Samsung will be good enough for the PS5 PRO?
The s90c for sure is acceptable. I personally own that tv. C1 should be fine. But I’m not sure about the cx
cx hell yeah that one is king i have it. so so love it! first tv ever owned!
my TCL works great with my ps5
Shout out to my TV I had since the PS5 launched, my beautiful OLED 65' LGCX! Specs wise LG makes the best tvs in my opinion. I wanted a Sony for my Sony ps5 but the numbers and specs don't lie! Let's go
I have a lgc3, can't wait!
Great video bro!! God bless you!!!🙏🏾
Good quality video You're on your way to the top
Thanks for the encouragement.
What you think about the Samsung Q70C?
Have an a95k and g3, think I’ll be okay. Also have 4k qd OLED and OLED pc monitors 😂
The best bang for buck TV on the market is the Samsung S90d hands down. Every TV/tech reviewer has already acknowledged this.
Agreed. The faithful viewers of this video know I ended it on the sentiment of your comment.
I upgraded from C1 to S95B, the improvement that QD-OLED offers is ground breaking. So buy yourself the cheapest 55 inch QD-OLED you can find, it doesnt matter which one.
Agreed. My list cover the latest models but you can’t go wrong with s95b and up. Especially at the right price.
love my lg cx 55 inch it's king for me!
I'll pass on the burn-in
Not really...aside the colours on the qdoled nothing really special. Have them both, I prefer the LG C1 though.
I've got the lg c3 which is great
People disagreeing about outside the Big 3 when the big 3 themselves aren’t that great.
LG C series is too dim for HDR and unplayable in SDR
G series is bright but lacks BT.2020 colourspace
Sony sucks at gaming TVs, their own Bravia 9 can’t beat A95L in anything except brightness and A95L sucks for gaming compared to LG and Samsung by a huge margin
Samsung has issues with things like dropouts or poor software os tizen and remote not great compared to magic remote of LG, then u have to calibrate it coz it is oversatured out the box, so BT.2020 is unnaturally vibrant without settings adjustments and S95D is matte. And S90D has game issue stuck at 850 peak and of course they don’t have DTS, Dolby vision is a misunderstood thing it shouldn’t be a dealbreaker
I got the LG QNED 86” in prep for the pro. I can’t afford an OLED in that size yet
Is LG C2 enough ?
Yes sir your c2 should be fine. I am rocking with Samsungs last year model myself and I am beyond content. I just wanted to promote the latest products.
I have hisence u7h with 120hz and qled and local dimming pretty good for 800$ but i cant sped 2000$ cant spend on an oled
Lg cx 55inch all day love it so so much! :)
I have a Sony Bravia X900h, I’ve had it since ps5 launch, should be good for my ps5 pro yeah?
It's a great TV. Bright enough for a HDR impact, the good processing and low input lag making it a nice choice for gaming. There's still some blur at 4k@120hz but it's really hard to see if you're not pressing your face to the panel and counting pixels. Unlike other TV manufacturers (even TCL and Hisense fixed this and allowed local dimming with VRR) using the same Mediatek SoC, Sony never fixed it and it does not look like they ever will. Also missing local dimming with activated VRR is not worth turning on this feature.
@@daveb9402 thanks for the input I appreciate the reply! New subscriber here!
Really really good son!🔥🔥🔥👾🤘 Perfect audio, perfect editing
games are going to probably be locked at 60FPS for the PRO and that will be the marketed target performance for 4K
You need to do more research there’s a bunch of 4k 120 games on the pro resident evil village and RE4 remake to name a few, and several that will have unlocked frame rates
I got LG G3 .. i guess that will do the job
That will definitely do the job
I think OLED gets wayyyyy too much over attention.
Yeah brother u kinda off on this one of the best reviewed tv on rtings is the Hisense u7n and u8n even the tcl qm8 is decent. Don’t get me wrong oleds are great but people act like mini led with quantum dots on a tv like a u8n is almost as good picture quality black levels and basically every new gaming feature
I have LG G4 55 for my PS Pro 💪
Same I got the lg G4 55 perfect size can’t wait the graphics will be stunning no doubt

Where does everyone live where your wifi is strong enough to maintain 4K, without buffering?
Don’t feel bad I use to be a Samsung guy also, until 4K TV’s came out.
Is the lg b4 48 in my bedroom goof ps5 gaming tv?
I bought a TCL QLED with 144Hz and 120HZ with VRR. It's great on PS5 and SX. NO SUB for you disrespecting TCL.
Agreed my TCL is still working when I got it with my xbox one x back in 2017, I gave it to my sister 4 years ago still going strong.
those are mini led, not oled. still nice tho.
TVs are like guitars. You can spend $1000 on a Mexican Fender that will perform at a top tier level or you can spend $2000 on an American one and while it does have some advantages it’s not worth double unless you have the kind of funds to justify. My U7N cost me only $550 on sale. I can’t justify spending double or more for what this thing gives me.
I got a LG c1 I think PS5 pro will look good on the c1 tv
It will, all u need is hdmi 2.1 and a nice hdr spec should do, and then there’s no point of 144hz for the ps5 pro because they top at 120hz lol
Good job!
LG C3, trust me, do it.
My S95B is waiting on my Pro 😁
I have the lg g3 and samsung q990b sound bar 11.1.4 ps5 and ps5 pro xbox sx nividia shield pro and switch and moded dreamcast and more....
