    I cut my hair the way you've shown me here and I was able to incorporate my growing out bangs and girl... My hair is insane is insane right now. I already use salon products that are my soul mate shampoo and conditioner etc. I've done a lot of research over the years. Not a hairdresser. But holy good lawhd. This is the best haircut I have EVER HAD. not even the hairdresser gets it like this!!! Thank you thank you thank you. You angel! I'm in my mid 30s and look 20 lol and this haircut is just so flattering for me. So I'm super grateful ❤️❤️❤️❤️

    Just did this and tbh this is the best haircut I’ve ever had, I’ve never been this satisfied when professional hairdressers cut my hair 😭 such a good idea to cut our own hair cause only WE know exactly what we want for ourselves and for our hair! This way you can really customize it to your liking!
    So happy I saw this video and if you follow it exactly you’ll get everything perfect!
    Also I didn’t twist the comb I felt it turned out weird when I did that, I cut from bottom to top on the hard side and tbh it still turned out really nice 😅

    • @BananaTPie

      How does it look in a ponytail?? I want to do this, but whatever cut I have now the top back part is longer than most of the hair in my pony and it looks awful

    • @sarrehm
      @sarrehm Рік тому

      @@LilyAllison233you should do it 😝 ever since I did it I feel I can’t justify spending sooo much on a trim now…. Because I know I can do it at home and customize to what I like! (Only trimming a little bit - I feel like all the hairdressers trim more than what I want and I have past trauma about trusting new hairdressers Hahhaa)
      BUTTT if you’re going to do it MAKE SURE to buy “barbers shears” / proper hair cutting scissors…. I made the mistake of not using hair scissors… I used random scissors…. And it actually caused the ends of my hair to look so damaged :( so please be careful and buy barbers scissors… the haircut is perfect but the ends of my hair are damaged.. I will still do this haircut again but with better scissors this time.
      I read on google that using random / regular scissors causes damage to the strand :( and eventually breakage / thinning of the ends and that’s what happened 😭 this time I’ll try with good scissors and I’ll update after a few weeks 😝

    • @sarrehm
      @sarrehm Рік тому +1

      @@BananaTPieI think it looks normal in a pony tail!! But I don’t wear my hair in a high pony tail since my hair is not that long, I only wear it in a low pony tail. But I put it in a high pony tail to see what it looks like I think it looked normal to me hahah
      Maybe you can try it and just try to trim very little for your first try 😛 and then next time you can make the framing layers more dramatic when you’re more comfortable
      Also like I said in my other comment make sure to use proper hair cutting scissors !!! Otherwise you might end up with damaged ends like I did 😭 I used random scissors
      The haircut is still great tho it’s my fault I used the wrong scissors 😢

    My hair was getting way too long (down to my butt) and desperately needed cut. Just followed this video, it’s the best tutorial I’ve ever seen! I LOVE how my hair looks! I didn’t take too much off but I chopped it to my waist and it just looks so much healthier. And I just let it air dry with no product and my natural waves came back! So good, I’ll be using this one from now on.

    I did this tonight on a whim and the results are amazing!! I wasn’t extremely precise since it’s just a timely trim so I’d say it’s pretty foolproof. I went off on how my hair felt between my fingers and how it bounced up after each cut, video was super easy to follow!!

    Eeeh, if you have fine hair, have a back-up plan, i used this technique to even out my face framing layers and had to go do my own thing around the ear and the back of the hair ended up doing wierd things so i ended up cutting the length using the beard self trim method put in some sqaure layering and evened out for a while i don't even know if my hemline is straight or u shaped anymore it's official face framing layers are not for me but the blunt cut just above the chest really gives me a lot of mass

    Ok when I tell you this is the most, “Trust the process” kind of deal. I’ve been trying to do most hair related things at home, and I followed most of the steps 😅. I feel like once you start, you sort of listen to how your hair moves. I had to def improvise since my curtain bangs were much shorter than hers. Please consider how short your bangs area is before starting (; Listen I’m not going to tell you it came out amazing but it’s pretty good considering I have never cut my hair. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but by doing this cut, do you have layers just on the front and sides or also on the back of your head? Because in the end of the video I got confused if what I was seeing was layers on the back or if the layers formed because you flipped the front hair to the back.

    Thank you so much I love DIY. The type of hair a hair because it's naturally curly and I bleach it, my top layer often ends up too short because it gets so damaged that it has to be trimmed quite heavily, it is this way at the moment. Wanting to ask your advice what you would do? Should I take some of the length and till it goes down or should I just let the whole lot go? Also, do you have any tips to help protect this top layer? Thank you so much for your videos 🙏
