It is true reciting and repeating and memorizing the Words of God are so powerful, it works miracles and wonders in our lives. Because it is Word of God and it has power. Hebrews chapter 4 verse 12...it is double edged Sword. The devil is and evil spirits are terrified for the Word of God. Thanks be to God for Mario Joseph for teaching us to repeat the Word of God, memorize it and utter it loudly. I have experienced the Power of Word of God. We cannot manipulate God true, then what about Rosary? We repeat Hail Mary fifty times, is it manipulating? The devil came to tempt Jesus in the desert with the Word of God, Jesus defeated devil by using Word of God. We all know, when we are in sin, using Word of God doesn't help. We all know that, . I'm pretty sure Br. Mario isn't preaching prosperity gospel here when he says that our needs and necessities are met when reciting the word of God. The word of God has the power to draw us closer to God and purify our hearts and mind, but also prepares us to receive the gifts(health, necessary financial or spiritual blessings) that God has in his will for us. Brother Mario in his recent videos has also emphasized on repentance and confession too. He has pointed out that many times our sins may hinder us from receiving the necessary blessings God wants us to give. Also he is doing so much good work for people who are in need and problems. He has even pointed out the bible verses backing his statements he made during those sermons and videos. So theologically and practically he is very much right in the things he is saying there. God does looks after his people in need and doesn't necessarily want everyone to suffer all the time. Suffering has it's place in God's will for us according to his plans and for our spiritual purification/ sanctification. Reciting bible verse with the intent of meeting our needs is not wrong. I request you to have a conversation/ discussion with Brother Mario about this topic and make it clear for everyone concerned with this topic so everyone gets to see the truth. So sorry to hear this Brother. You need to do your homework and present better things. Pointing finger at Br. Mario by just picking up on few verses from his speech is what people from other christian denominations do to tarnish the reputation of catholic preachers. They are already doing it to other Catholic spiritual preachers in Kerala and so sorry to see that you have also joined that group. Br. Mario may have quoted few promises from the Bible to strengthen the faith of the miserable people who are going through financial troubles. There is nothing wrong in any of that as long as the focus is not purely on those things (Almost all of the catholic preachers do that one way or the other). You need to look at his preaching as a whole, rather than picking up a small part. Does he preach repentance, does he preach eternal life, forgiveness of sins and so many other things which is what the Catholic faith is about. Above all, he is a great life example, a person who was born and brought up as a muslim, who will put self-righteous people like you and me to shame. You also need to study about this person a bit more before you start pointing finger at him. During Covid, when a lot of the Christian community shut themselves in their houses, he went door-to-door distributing medicines to the poor and needy and later extended it by building houses for others. He is somebody who has walked the talk. He is somebody who is facing constant threats to his life because of his change of faith. It is a great disservice to Catholicism as a whole and to all the Catholic preachers themselves when you start pointing fingers at them. You ought to do better Brother!

He was a preacher at Divine Retreat Center and is probably still staying in those premises. Did Divine Retreat Center condemn his preaching? You have done interviews with Glen and others from Divine. Did they agree with you? What was the due diligence and research that you did before labelling Br. Mario as a prosperity gospel preacher. Few videos here and there? Did any Catholic Bishop or any church authorities condemn him. You need to know the person and his teachings a lot more before you condemn him. Don’t you think that judging whether the preaching of a Catholic preacher as heresy or not falls more into the domain of the church rather than that of a layperson. You are using a social media UA-cam channel to target a person and in this case the victim is a Catholic preacher. Since you position yourself as a Catholic UA-cam channel, you need to apply a lot more discretion and discernment before you put out content targeting Catholic preachers. A lot of people, esp. non-believers who don’t know anything about Church or Catholicism will take you at face value and will label the entire set of Catholic preachers as fraudulent. That is a great harm that you are doing to the Catholic community and to the missionary movement as a whole. I know you have JY roots. You should’ve talked with some seniors in JY before you posted this video. You have put some good videos out there Brother and have done a lot of good work for Catholic Church as a whole. However, I can’t agree with you and this video where you have targeted Br. Mario. Sure, Br. The Bible has been interpreted in many ways by many , some interpretations are from the Holy Spirit, some from people’s experience and some from ignorance. Mario, is unwittingly perhaps, is promoting a kind of prosperity gospel (a false Gospel). Bible verses should not be used as magic ways to receive material advantages. Let him keep in mind: '1 Cor 15:19 "If our hope in Christ has been for this life only. we are of all people the most pitiable".
You are right JD bro... God's promises are specific to certain person and purpose and cannot be applied to all, as the Protestants preach. But we cannot fully deny his preaching, as we didn't hear the full message.Many of our preachers now are influenced by Protestant preaching and prosperity gospel. JD should also correct regarding giving importance to saints instead of giving importance to Jesus, Sometimes, sermons are preached on the character of a particular Saint, not relating anything to Jesus, it's implications of Jesus is totally left out, even praying to Saint without praying to Jesus.. I find such practice of faith is so vague and only spiritual dryness. Even if we speak about Saint, we must be able to relate with Jesus .That's why images and flowers have become important inside the Catholic Church rather than faith in Jesus. The practice of bowing down to the images and giving flowers, what do you say about this?

I am truly saddened by this video Not because the content is wrongful- you are right in your arguments I fully backed your first video but seeing the trajectory of your videos it seems you got a bit too carried away with the first video. even renamed that from "Prosperity gospel preacher" to "Br Johnson" and then you went one notch higher n made a video of Br Mario with a rather scandalous cover- an arrow pointing towards him saying "More money" and the words "Red handed" as if he was caught asking for money in secret...in doing so you have placed more blame n caused scandal for your fellow brother. Its okay to call out false teaching but when you take names you need to be very careful and 100%certain that the accusations you make hold up to what the person truly believes, because you are tarnishing someone's image n possibly leaving Catholics in confusion online (much like Dr Taylor Marshall who just rants about the Pope and causes more harm than good) You quoted a portion of Br Mario's talk without even leaving the source talk in the description box so that others could see the whole video for context, n you dint respond to those who asked you for the source As far as Br Johnson was concerned there were many many wrong things in his teachings, even apart from prosperity gospel, his entire ministry has a lot of non Catholic content ... n he has been banned from many dioceses including my own, so that was still acceptable But Br Mario is by and large faithful to Catholic teaching, and especially understands the value of suffering. And though you are right in all your points, it would be prudent to interview him first in private n see what he says to your objections. So we suerly cannot comprehend his ways. So its wise to ask God to change us and give clarity to our thoughts and keep our hearts clean rather than exposing others. It would have been a wise decision if you could talk to Bro. Mario directly and clarify. People can discern for themselves what is good and what is bad because God has given man the freedom to choose good or bad. If someone needs to be changed, it would'nt happen without the divine intervention. God can use us as an instrument to advice and preach and never to expose someone. The teachers of religious law and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in the act of adultery. They put her in front of the crowd. (which is exposing her) “Teacher,” they said to Jesus, “this woman was caught in the act of adultery. The law of Moses says to stone her. What do you say?” ( Yes, this was to trap Jesus ) but Jesus stooped down and wrote in the dust with his finger. They kept demanding an answer, so he stood up again and said, “All right, but let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone!” Then he stooped down again and wrote in the dust. When the accusers heard this, they slipped away one by one, beginning with the oldest, until only Jesus was left in the middle of the crowd with the woman. Then Jesus stood up again and said to the woman, “Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?” “No, Lord,” she said. And Jesus said, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more.” This concludes it all. Jesus has the last say. Therefore, lets first contemplate on our souls and hearts and keep a check on it constantly so that we don't fall in tempatation and sin. Lastly, the more we judge someone, we confirm that we dont trust our Saviour Jesus Christ to be a judge. God bless and shalom!

It is true reciting and repeating and memorizing the Words of God are so powerful, it works miracles and wonders in our lives. Because it is Word of God and it has power. Hebrews chapter 4 verse 12...it is double edged Sword. The devil is and evil spirits are terrified for the Word of God. I'm pretty sure Br. Mario isn't preaching prosperity gospel here when he says that our needs and necessities are met when reciting the word of God. The word of God has the power to draw us closer to God and purify our hearts and mind, but also prepares us to receive the gifts(health, necessary financial or spiritual blessings) that God has in his will for us.
Brother Mario in his recent videos has also emphasized on repentance and confession too. He has pointed out that many times our sins may hinder us from receiving the necessary blessings God wants us to give.
Also he is doing so much good work for people who are in need and problems.
He has even pointed out the bible verses backing his statements he made during those sermons and videos.
So theologically and practically he is very much right in the things he is saying there.
God does looks after his people in need and doesn't necessarily want everyone to suffer all the time. Suffering has it's place in God's will for us according to his plans and for our spiritual purification/ sanctification.
Reciting bible verse with the intent of meeting our needs is not wrong.
I request you to have a conversation/ discussion with Brother Mario about this topic and make it clear for everyone concerned with this topic so everyone gets to see the truth.

So sorry to hear this Brother. You need to do your homework and present better things. Pointing finger at Br. Mario by just picking up on few verses from his speech is what people from other christian denominations do to tarnish the reputation of catholic preachers. They are already doing it to other Catholic spiritual preachers in Kerala and so sorry to see that you have also joined that group. Br. Mario may have quoted few promises from the Bible to strengthen the faith of the miserable people who are going through financial troubles. There is nothing wrong in any of that as long as the focus is not purely on those things (Almost all of the catholic preachers do that one way or the other). You need to look at his preaching as a whole, rather than picking up a small part. Does he preach repentance, does he preach eternal life, forgiveness of sins and so many other things which is what the Catholic faith is about. Above all, he is a great life example, a person who was born and brought up as a muslim, who will put self-righteous people like you and me to shame.
You also need to study about this person a bit more before you start pointing finger at him. During Covid, when a lot of the Christian community shut themselves in their houses, he went door-to-door distributing medicines to the poor and needy and later extended it by building houses for others. He is somebody who has walked the talk. He is somebody who is facing constant threats to his life because of his change of faith. It is a great disservice to Catholicism as a whole and to all the Catholic preachers themselves when you start pointing fingers at them. You ought to do better Brother!

You have every right to voice your opinions. However, the person you are talking about here is a Catholic preacher. He was a preacher at Divine Retreat Center and is probably still staying in those premises. Did Divine Retreat Center condemn his preaching? You have done interviews with Glen and others from Divine. Did they agree with you? What was the due diligence and research that you did before labelling Br. Mario as a prosperity gospel preacher. Few videos here and there? Did any Catholic Bishop or any church authorities condemn him. You need to know the person and his teachings a lot more before you condemn him. Don’t you think that judging whether the preaching of a Catholic preacher as heresy or not falls more into the domain of the church rather than that of a layperson. You are using a social media UA-cam channel to target a person and in this case the victim is a Catholic preacher.
Since you position yourself as a Catholic UA-cam channel, you need to apply a lot more discretion and discernment before you put out content targeting Catholic preachers. A lot of people, esp. non-believers who don’t know anything about Church or Catholicism will take you at face value and will label the entire set of Catholic preachers as fraudulent. That is a great harm that you are doing to the Catholic community and to the missionary movement as a whole. I know you have JY roots. You should’ve talked with some seniors in JY before you posted this video. You have put some good videos out there Brother and have done a lot of good work for Catholic Church as a whole. However, I can’t agree with you and this video where you have targeted Br. Mario. Sure, Br. I fully backed your first video but seeing the trajectory of your videos it seems you got a bit too carried away with the first video. even renamed that from "Prosperity gospel preacher" to "Br Johnson" and then you went one notch higher n made a video of Br Mario with a rather scandalous cover- an arrow pointing towards him saying "More money" and the words "Red handed" as if he was caught asking for money in secret...in doing so you have placed more blame n caused scandal for your fellow brother. Its okay to call out false teaching but when you take names you need to be very careful and 100%certain that the accusations you make hold up to what the person truly believes, because you are tarnishing someone's image n possibly leaving Catholics in confusion online (much like Dr Taylor Marshall who just rants about the Pope and causes more harm than good)
You quoted a portion of Br Mario's talk without even leaving the source talk in the description box so that others could see the whole video for context, n you dint respond to those who asked you for the source
As far as Br Johnson was concerned there were many many wrong things in his teachings, even apart from prosperity gospel, his entire ministry has a lot of non Catholic content ... n he has been banned from many dioceses including my own, so that was still acceptable
But Br Mario is by and large faithful to Catholic teaching, and especially understands the value of suffering. And though you are right in all your points, it would be prudent to interview him first in private n see what he says to your objections.

Jesus is the only judge. He can change anyone to good in his own ways.
Isaiah 55:8-9 says “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. So we suerly cannot comprehend his ways.
So its wise to ask God to change us and give clarity to our thoughts and keep our hearts clean rather than exposing others. It would have been a wise decision if you could talk to Bro. Mario directly and clarify. People can discern for themselves what is good and what is bad because God has given man the freedom to choose good or bad.
If someone needs to be changed, it would'nt happen without the divine intervention. God can use us as an instrument to advice and preach and never to expose someone.

The answer to the question that if I'm not worried about the misled people, is right in the message (THAT'S WHAT WOULD JESUS DO?) Joseph. Yes surely JESUS WOULD lead them to the right PATH in his wisdom and power. God's will for us is to pray for each other.

Yes Jesus would run behind one lost sheep leaving behind the 99. Jesus would do that because you and I as an individual are precious to him and only Jesus can do it. We as humans cannot run behind one lost sheep. But pray for them so that Jesus would save them too. There is a difference, Jesus going behind one lost sheep and you and me running behind one lost sheep Joseph. So let's do what we can by unitedly praying for each other and asking God's mercy to wipe away their sins.
