Acquitted in court due to no evidence does not mean the person has not committed the crime. It just means that enough of evidence was not found against the person to be proven guilty. Now God alone knows the truth and if the person has committed the crime he will have to face God's justice.
But all this is after the nuns and their supporters claimed that there is so much evidence with them still the police is not arresting the Bishop etc. etc. Even the police saw those "so much" evidence and then arrested the Bishop. If you follow Malayalam, you can check, there were many UA-cam channels where detailed reports of the case was coming on a daily basis and in them all the evidence claimed by the accused party was shown and none of them was any way convincing that rape happened. anyone following those reports already knew that the Bishop would be acquitted some day or the other.. Personally I don't think the Bishop did it. But yeah God only knows the truth.
So @michael - So u are saying Bishop Franco should be still considered guilty even after sufficient evidence was not presented to the court ?
Haha...for such a serious crime there certainly will be strong evidence. They tried hard to find some evidence but found none. That speaks for itself. Remember the Cardinal Pell story. This was another holy man of God who had to go through this same agony before the top court in Australia said that it found no evidence against the Cardinal and was acquitted. Thank you Jesus for protecting your holy ones. Truth triumphs in the end. Remember the story of that holy woman Susanna in the old testament? These incidents and stories remind me of Susanna.
@@SongonFirecatholicIndia If this is the case then why do we christians just do not accept the verdict of the court when the Hindus attacking christians are acquitted due to lack of evidence. Why do we complain that they are guilty but they are sent scott free as they are politically protected so on and so forth
If you are doing character assassination of any person, under any circumstances, know that you are going against God's 5th commandment. Unless you repent from deep down your heart and confess you will be liable to hell. Same as too many Indians are jealous of others, which falls into 10th Commandment. All of which are mortal sins. Lips service Confessions will not be valid, even if any one gets absolution from priests, even 1000 times. Know 5 mandatory tasks must be fulfilled in order to get forgiveness in Confession. And most of all know that "Only a few will make to eternal life". Most dont know what is Eternal which is "Look into abyss, that might end, but eternal punishment will not. Before it is too late...

God is the only one who knows the whole truth about this. Let us not judge or conclude either he is guilty or not. No one can hide anything from God, on the last day everything will be revealed. And each one will be rewarded according to their deeds.

We should never character assassinate about any person, as this falls onto 5th Commandment. Even if we have seen a thing being done in private life of others, we should never tell others.

The nun should be punished.
Just two correction that I want to make as a law student, that presumption of innocence is not fundamental, its a position which can be changed by the law. For example, the POCSO act in India which deals with prosecution of sexual crimes against minors has presumption of guilt. It is the accused who has to prove he is innocent rather than other way around. The same holds true for NDPS Act dealing with prevention of drugs. Secondly, just because the prosecution couldn't prove the case doesn't make nuns as liars. No legal system is foolproof. Rape has a very high threshold of proof which in many cases are not met but it doesn't mean that the prosecutors were fraud. All I am saying is give due respect to both nuns and Bishop and let God be the judge. Above all pray that these scandals don't happen anymore.

If you have simple logic, was the nun raped 20+ times in one night?. If not, how was she raped 20+ times, unless she herself willingly submitted to the rape. Was she carried blind folded to his room by some one, unless she went herself? If she went herself, is it a rape? Was she forced in blackmail of certain things she had committed in order to come to his room?
If you are a Catholic, just know that Character assassination or gossip of another individual/s is the murder of the one's name. You will be judged as you broke the 6th God's commandment and is mortal sin. Unless you repent from deep down your heart and make retribution after a valid Confession, ( And also know what is a valid confession, even if you have confessed and got absolution from the Catechism of the Catholic Church ) it will be your way to hell.
Almost all of us are doing mortal sins everyday, and we think we will be to heaven. Jesus said only "a few"(that is a handful number) will make to heaven. Work out your salvation with fear and trembling, that is as per St. Paul. and St Peter is telling, "if it is so difficult for the virtuous to enter heaven, how will it be for a sinner".

There were also allegations against her from her own cousin sister accusing her of having an affair with her husband.
If she was an ordinary young nun, then this story could have been believable.
@@ashwinjohn4319 In matters of news that will hurt some one's name I have stopped giving opinion. I used to such thing, in the past, and now Salvation of my soul is the only thing that matters. Most of us think that going to confession, absolves our sins. That is dead wrong. In order to have a valid confession, there must be 5 obligatory tasks must be fulfilled. 1. Examination of the Conscience, 2. Reflection of the sins, Remorse and True Repentance from the heart 3) Commitment and determination not to commit those sins 4) Proper confession and Absolution 5) Penance and Retribution for the sins, if possible.
I must have gone for Confession tens of thousands of times. They were all lip service and sacrilege there after.
Learnt why St. Padre Pio drove out penitents from confessional, to get to know 5 tasks as per Catechism of the Church.
Hence if any one sees a certain thing being done of bad nature, it is better not to talk or discuss with other, unless you are a witness to the case in court.
Most Indians are jealous of some one, about money, job, house, property, position etc. That is mortal sin against 10th Commandment, "Thou shall not covet neighbour's goods". I am sure practically in India 99.999% people fall into that category.
