This series is top notch! (Pun intended) very pleasant to watch, detailed but not overwhelming and refreshing to see honest beautiful work being done! Thank you!
Thanks for the info! I live in zone 7, and a fully glazed greenhouse stays pretty cold and is best used for season extension. With my own build I can control the amount of glazing and insulation.
This is a well built greenhouse, thanks for videos. I built mine with minimum wood to get maximum light, it survived one hurricane so far. Looking forward to watching more of your stuff.
I must disagree with you as you are a timber framer! This is my favorite type of all the content of yours I have put out. Your wood storage is on my “to do one day” list
This might be an unnecessary question, but will you make videos on what you do on the inside as well? When and what you will plant/place there? Other than that, I love the greenhouse, most probably the best looking I've seen on the Internet searching for something to get or build myself. Really great job!
I would like to see inside of the greenhouse it looks great I’m trying to price the timber at the moment I’d be interested how much it cost to build if you if you can help
Hey Kent! This greenhouse series is amazing, well produced! It seems like you get your rough sawn lumber from milling your own trees, but do you have recommendations on where to get it if you can't do that?
I'm designing an enlarged version of this and am wondering why you put a sill seal tape underneath the door foot plate but not underneath the rafter frames. Wouldn't you want to keep the wood from wicking moisture out of the concrete in both scenarios?
I went to the link for the stain,, but I think it is just the stain type? maybe?,, I really like the colour you use do you know the name? and it is so hard to find the right one that isn't too orange
This type of construction meets modern standards, but I wonder if there was a reason beyond simplicity you chose lag bolts instead of pegs made of the same wood used for the frame? Peg construction has been demonstrated to last longer if done correctly due to its ability to swell and shrink with the rest of the frame.
What a beautifully done ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxYGamVaHfdHiPlAQaLa7zkwR02OKpGYDU ! The instructions and the photographs are brilliant. It is thorough and genuinely informative. Ryan got another winner! No one does it better!

Thanks for the info!

I enjoy seeing things made with common tools, not needing rentals or shop equipment.
This greenhouse should last a very, very long time
I hope so.

@@MANaboutTOOLS see comment below you might have some scam trolls impersonating your channel.
This is another excellent video in this series on greenhouse construction. Thanks for the level of detail and the time it takes to add the animation!
Ready for the next one 👍
It's up

That's the plan! Thanks!!
@@MANaboutTOOLS Cool! Thanks for the reply also! 😃
Hi Kent, loved the video. May I ask about how much you have in this? $$$
Why so many studs in post and beam structure? Very beautifully made. Love the details.
Thanks! To support the polycarbonate glazing panels.
I don’t have instagram…lol. I won something? lol. I only have email and UA-cam! Love watching your channel…gives me great ideas!
I would like to see inside of the greenhouse it looks great I’m trying to price the timber at the moment I’d be interested how much it cost to build if you if you can help
Can I skip the beams and do the walls on its own? I mean connect the walls to each other and to floor.

Thanks! Check for a local sawmill in your area.
Can I adjust the plan to be 12 x 24 ft?
No moisture insulation (concrete - wood)?
Capillary effect.
It's a greenhouse, the wood isn't closed in - so it probably would just serve as a point were water can accumulate...
There is a sill gasket between the concrete and the bottom 2x4 of the stud walls.
@@MANaboutTOOLS Sorry, it wasn't shown in the video.
Does your stain also double as a end grain sealant?
I don't think it's advertised as such but, it sure does soak in.
I'm designing an enlarged version of this and am wondering why you put a sill seal tape underneath the door foot plate but not underneath the rafter frames. Wouldn't you want to keep the wood from wicking moisture out of the concrete in both scenarios?
There is a foam sill plate gasket under the 2x4 walls. I staple it on before lifting into place.
I went to the link for the stain,, but I think it is just the stain type? maybe?,, I really like the colour you use do you know the name? and it is so hard to find the right one that isn't too orange
Thanks! The tint we use is called "Butternut". It does go more towards a chocolate color over time.

Think a fella could make $ building something like this for people?
