I love these shelves. Nicely done! For the hinged design, I guess you could forego the bottom braces and use cables above mounted on the studs to act as a stop and bear the load. Maybe add turnbuckles for some fine-tuning. You'd need some way to lock them in the upright position when stored though so they wouldn't just slam down.
That's a great greenhouse. I expect that the cost and effort dictate that you will add more shelving and perhaps a center table, all in order to grow more. If and when you do, I look forward to seeing what you did.

90 degree stops are genuis. I just got new skirts. when my guy installed he used a black product along the ground edge. I hope that is some kind of sealant, that you might consider. it was painted on and obtained at homey despot.

Please what is the height from the floor to the first shelve and the height from the first shelves to the second shelf? I am planning on placing cedar legs 4X4 for the bottom shelve. The legs will be decorated by cutting into the wood. How would you suggest making the top shelves? My little greenhouse will be 8 X 12 ft. I am planning to place the shelves on the 8 ft side be sure it will get the most light. I will have two windows. How long do you suggest for the shelves? Do you think I could put three shelves instead of two? If you think I could how do you suggest I could build them? Please can you provide measurements? Beautiful shelves you created. I thank you in advance for the information and help.
Missed your videos! Looks great as always. I’ve had concerns before with end grain and glue for my own projects but there is a solution to that, put on a solid layer of wood glue to the ends and allow to dry till tacky, then add more when you’re ready to attach and it should be enough glue already soaked up into the wood grain to improve the connection. It works and I got that tip from Tamar at 3x3 Custom channel here on YT. Question, how to do a garden fence (doesn’t have to be permanent but semi wind proof) without having to dig out posts? Any ideas? I have a gas line that runs by the garden but I need and want a 4-5’ tall cedar fence with inset hog wire panels. Posts in my area are supposed to be 3’ roughly deep because of frost line and I’m afraid I’d hit the gas line.
Thanks for the tip there! For the fence I would look into pencil posts. They look like they would not be too difficult to pound in. For the gas line I think you would need the utility to come and mark where it is so you won't hit it.

Even if it was made out if cheap non treated, unfinished pine you could probably get double that out of it. Seeing as this is cedar, I'm guessing its good for 20+
They will last for a long time even its cheap pine. They are not in constant water. So no problem at all. And the greenhouse is in ceader that will last 50 years at least. Maybe more if its treatet regulary.
You could always add some tremclad to the wire mesh to prevent rust stains.

add a radius where you relieved the bottom of the front boards for the support arms. what you did is prone to splitting.
You could hinge the braces so they pivot in between the studs and hinge the shelf so it drops down.

Why didn't you use the same design for upper and lower shelves?
No particular reason. But, that would work fine I think. Just make smaller brackets for the upper shelf.

Yes I will. I got sidetracked this winter with a big project. But, I have most of the figures worked out. Will get it out as soon as I can.
Have you considered nails vs screws? Cheaper and potential perform better.
I like screws even though they take longer. I have several air nail guns and I'd use them if I was doing production work.
