As a 21 year old now working in construction I loved this kit build. I did gymnastics for 14 years and got badly beat up and ended gymnastics at age 18. I then didn't have gymnastics scholarship for college and ended up in community college when pandemic closed my school down. That led me to a funk and excessively exercising but then to working for Menards in the buildings department. From there I got hired to a construction company and fell in love with construction. I'm learning a lot. Just found your videos. Love the product quality a lot. I'm now a new subscriber.

Your drip edge should be held off of the fascia by 1/4" to break the hydrostatic pressure. The water is going to run down the side and not kick off as intended.

Greenhouse LOOKS great and quality beyond most kits. Imho needs to be on footers with an open floor for drainage, and needs some sort of temperature management as an option. If those sliding windows were tilt out, simple wax-filled automatic openers could be used on them. As pictured that greenhouse is going to have a constantly wet floor and get too hot unless you can attend to it full time.

  • @vernonbuell3943

I can't believe you have an OSB floor which is going to get wet from watering plants. It's also going to get extremely cold under the floor. The least they could have done is paint the floor with a mixture of oil based paint and linseed oil both beneath the floor and inside, including edges, and put an inch of insulation board under the OSB to help keep it warm. Oh well, only time will tell how long it lasts. I also suggest painting the inside walls and studs to protect it and make it last. Other than that, it's a nice job and structure.

It can be cheaper to buy kits as the company can bulk buy materials and pass that on. But if you are not counting your time (labour) in making it and you do a lot of searching/research and you have all the tools, you could do it cheaper but it will take a lot longer.

Great question and the kits them selves are at a high price but that’s because they are American made and they are extremely high quality. I’m sure you could save 1000 or two if you built it all yourself but think of the amount of time you’re saving with a kit that comes assembled like this. It would’ve taken me weeks to build something like this from scratch versus just a couple of days.

Normal greenhouses wouldn't be insulated enough to withstand the cold Jersey winters and I'd have to bring the plants inside. However, this greenhouse seems to be top of the line and well insulated/has provisions for insulation as well. Looking for your thoughts on implementing this structure into a Jersey landscape...

Two questions on this one (I am building a DIY greenhouse similar in size myself but on a gravel base). (1) Someone else asked about the drainage issues on a wood floor so was curious how you would address that in this system? (2) would you put chicken wire or something similar to keep animals and such out from underneath the platform? I also built a floating deck and have a shed in the works, both of which are up above ground level and I feel I need to have some sort of material to block animals from getting underneath.

Just started watching. It's exactly what I want, just need muscle to move the panels/walls. First problem they can easily fix is if they're meant to go in order 1 through...then why are they not stacked on the pallet in that order? It requires you to sort through pallet & restock in order. When you're old falling apart woman with falling apart daughter kind of would be HUGE help if not need to do more moving, lifting, etc. I'll keep watching... Thanks for bringing this product to our attention. 😉

No cut? Except for that little bit in order to install the door panel.

Content great......voice - over.... not good, cringe. Love the look. Regarding the timber floor-there will be constant watering, so where does this water flow, surely not onto the floor and what's to stop the cold air and creepy crawlies coming in.

Disappointed. You showed up in my recommended. I expected some cool ass tricks.
While the build is cool. It better include zero cuts for the $7,000-$11,000 price tag...

Yep it would but this is a MASSIVE time saver and extremely DIY friendly. Thanks for watching Brian.

I can't believe this guy actually LIED. And said zero cuts. When he clearly made a cut. What's this world coming to when you can't even trust that someone can actually build a greenhouse without any cuts?

LoL! I know, I know I’m sorry for lying to you in the title of the video but figured I could get away with that since my first cut only appeared 12 min in and only the BYOT die hares would see that haha! Thanks for watching and hope that cut didn’t affect your trust in BYOT :)

won't last long as fresh water (via humidity and condensation) is very bad for unprotected wood
