this song reminds me of my late wife. It ended in tears for me. I knew she was sick. I lived that lie that she wasnt going to outlive me. It made me excited for the future, for our future. It all made sense for a while. It was a dark pretense... I knew she was sick. I knew she would not live, I ignored it... I didn't want to see it. I couldn't or wouldn't see it. To be the one, to be with her, I felt wanted. but in the night... deliverance came. All that we knew... all that we were... fading away. Now, I'm falling out of the sky... like so many tears in the rain. My Love fell gently into the earth, cold, broken, Grave, ...Remorse. I miss here so much. I miss here so... so... much.
I heard this for the first time in a roof top bar in Santa Monica as the sun set over the palms and the ocean. I had a beer buzz, was with good people, and there wasn't another song that could have sounded better at the time.
I miss there so much. I came out to the coast bc my Aunt lived there w/my uncle, who was having an affair when he'd be off somewhere for days sometime but that didn't seem to bother my Aunt or so it seemed before she cam down w/dementia and then Alzheimer's . But for some reason I really thrived out there because she was the One in my fam I could feel so relived around and I didn't know what to do for her about the way my uncle did the things he did. but the sunset was my reliving slice of time near the ocean .
I just discovered this track on a shared playlist and I spent the entirety of last night listening to it on repeat because I had no other choice but to hear more and more of this. There are so many layers, the mood, the tone, the cadence, the sentiment is absolutely astounding. I got chills, but not superficially - chills from my core outward to all parts of my body, deeply. I have never experienced anything like that and I am so happy to find this. Overjoyed.
Discovered Royksopp in 2005 during a sailing trip over the Atlantic, and some songs like this one still give all those immense feelings you described... 15+yrs later .. :-)
I don't even usually listen to electronica, I listen to progressive metal and rock. This album is #3 on my list of my most cherished albums. This album is nothing short of a masterpiece.
I first listened to this after I broke up with my Ex.. the song brought feelings that are hard to describe with words.. 3.5 years later I have listened again for the first time. It brought back a lot of feelings but surprisingly it felt good. Things heal overtime
This song brought me back to the old days, when i first discovered Royksopp. I had my headphones on, at Nordkapp , Norway, listening to only this moment and enjoying the breathtaking view from the cliff on a cold november day :)
If you look closely at the lyrics, it doesn't make sense that this song talks about a couple's relationship, it's another thing, I'm from Brazil, I'm getting to know this song, band, now because of a French Netflix series called: Marseille in Perigo . When I heard this song I researched it and understood, it really is a work of art.

Deliverance came.. I was rly sick along with being depressed..went through a very dark time, hanging on with a very thin string. I wished an angel would take me away. I recently crawled out that dark hole. Never ever wanting to go back. Ty Royksopp this helped me through that.🖤
Although the text is somewhat dark, this songs' lyrics are taken straight from life as it sometimes happens, it is absolutely perfect arranged, the music, the lyrics, they match like not too many other songs these days. It goes deep. It is amazingly beautiful despite the text... A wonderful timeless masterpiece!

No I don't think it's about that. It's about something that you shouldn't have done. It was fun at the time but it was taken from you. And just as well. Things are better now that it's gone.
