I was able to remove my battery without sliding the lower clamps out of the groove. If you loosen them off completely you can tilt the battery towards the back of the car and pull it out. Same with installing.
Great video, minor suggestion that really helped me with the brackets was to completely remove the left screw on each bracket making it easier to slide behind the other trim panel. Much easier to remove and reinstall
Thank you for uploading your very well explained video. You have given me the confidence to approach this job myself. I returned from a holiday to find myself with the same scenario. When I initially weighed the job up, I thought, no way can I do that. Thank you for your help 🙏🏻
When I get a new battery for any of my cars or machines I always give it an overnight charge on a bench battery charger before installing it. A fully charged battery is 12.7 volts on a digital tester.
Hey friend. The battery that I’ve bought. (Correct one according to shop) is slightly taller and I can only reattach the front of the long over bracket. Should be fine right ??????
did you have any problems recalibrating the items that apparently need doing once you reconnected, like power windows, engine misfire. I am considering using a backup battery source either through the odb connector or by keeping my ctek trickle charge plugged in using caution with the pos terminal
No I didn't have any issues at all, as long as you do it in a somewhat timely manner I can't imagine there would be any issues, cars are designed to have their batteries replaced at some point
Great vid. I did the install myself using your video. Saved me $1200 and a road trip. Blessings!
glad it was helpful, $1200 to get your battery changed is outrageous!

Great video. Redpants has the low key battery fixture with the smaller battery option that makes the removal a breeze for the next time!
This battery is a beast it has to weigh like 60lbs... thats one cheap way to shed weight!

I did have these issues, but they were easily solved by pulling the relevant fuses and putting them back in.
