Helllloooo lovely Katie 👋😀 After having a rotten day at work, your vid made me feel instantly happy! I don't know how you do it, but your magic has worked!! Thank you! ☺️ That recipe looks awesome & easy enough for me to try as well!!! I'll definitely be making this this week!! Byeeee! 😀
I used to listen to I don't wanna be.. song so much! My go to Karaoke song is Sunday Morning by Maroon 5! I live in Japan, so I get to do Karaoke quite often! I love it!
+Rhys Sadler-Price You add salt for two reasons. One, it brings out really nice flavors in the ingredients, and also seasons the pasta as it cooks. Two, salt reduces the boiling and freezing temperatures of water, so adding salt will help the water to boil faster. You can get away with less salt, you'll still have a nice meal, but the pasta itself might not have as much flavor and might take longer to cook. Adding half a stock cube might add nice, albeit different, flavor, and I'd say add and stir it in right before it comes to a boil, not while the water's still cold.
Mate I know what salt is for and don't need a wall 'o text explaining it to me. Stock cubes are pretty salty, hence the dialling back on the salt itself. I just wondered if it would work with the flavours (depending on what type you go for obviously). Perhaps I should have been a bit clearer in my original question, so apologies for that.
Rhys Sadler-Price No I'm sorry I just like sounding like a nerd. Wasn't too sure if you were aiming for like a low sodium alternative, though. I also don't use stock cubes much, I usually make my own stock, so I have no idea how salty they are. I stand by my wait till the water warms up to add it statement, though. It'll dissolve a lot easier, I imagine.
i actually think that if you would ask me to boiled a phone book with chicken stock and just add cilantro and serve it, with your energy and "joie de vivre" i think i would do it,,thank so much for those great videos....
Well I used to live off pretty much this at university only with more chicken and bacon and with 100% less effort on the presentation. Also why didn't you use your tomato cutting hack? To send people to more Katie video goodness?
Oh nooo! I'm so sorry, please don't say that. Nonna gave me the approval as long as I acknowledged it's not better than the real deal. It's just a cheat's pasta recipe. No reflection of Italian cuisine!
Be warned the Italians will be kicking off in 3... 2... 1! Such an awesome recipes- addicted! :) x
+Donal Skehan I'm scared!

Yay new ep !
+Thanapath Wongthanapath (n07shichi) Woop wooop!
I think if u fry the onions and garlic with chilli first it might bring up more amazing flavours, I just love caramelised onions.
+Tamiris de Paula I was being careful to to make it too spicy though, weak ol' me can't handle it! :P
I was wondering if you'd plug your kitchen hacks video when cutting the tomatoes ;)
+AbsolutelyWonderBull How'd you know? ;)

hey katie can you make a video and show how to make a red velvet cake..!! cheers :)
+Elias Ioannou I lurrrrrve red velvet cake!
Could you use less salt and add half a stock cube instead or would that not work so well?
+Rhys Sadler-Price You add salt for two reasons. One, it brings out really nice flavors in the ingredients, and also seasons the pasta as it cooks. Dear Katie, can you do this with sweet basil?
YES INDEED! Delicious!
Can I use any other kind of fresh tomatoes? We don't have cherry tomatoes in the markets where I live
And omg! That song totally made me miss One Tree Hill
+weazerrr Totally! Cherry tomatoes are just small and easy to handle but any fresh tomato will bring a great flavour to the meal! Have a go!
"This is enough for four people btw..."
HA! Good one..
+Sour Tiger's Hideout Right?! They always say that, "This is enough for 4 people" and I'm like, "Okay, that maybe feeds one me... Perhaps two me"
+Gabriela two of me on a good day lolll
+Sour Tiger's Hideout I have a crew of four on some shoots...sometimes they don't get any as I have it all. muahahaha
😍😍😍
+John Sekhar Gawsh! Thank you John!

Aamir Sayeed The very same
HELOOOOOOO! I like double hellooooooo now ;)

+GoSpringboksGo Why thank you!

commented to fast.. so you could promote another of your videos haha
good knife tekkers
+Jago Bridgland Dangerous, aren't I? :S
You do know that the insta noodle recipe was only 7 months ago right
+Littlemanz Jordan Yeah but that aaaaaaages ago! Hahaha
Billy idol. Im like a fat reincarnation of Billy idol at karaoke. Except he's still alive. I think (hope).
Im totally making this dish! Looks radical.
+FloorManiac Pahaha yeah he's still alive! This comment made me laugh though! Do it! and send me a photo on social media when you do!
Greaat idea, but I would rather take out another pan and sauté the ingredients for the sauce.
+Gabriela Noooooo that makes more washing up! I'm being lazy here :P
OMG KATIE I CRANKED IT TO THE MAX WHICH WAS 240 DEGREES CELCIUS AND THE PASTA COOKED BEFORE THE WATER EVAPORATED :(
Oh my goodness. Ease back on the heat and top up with water if you see it drying out before the pasta is ready!
1 liter per pack of pasta? Because the amount of water is crucial here I guess as you absolutely don't want to drain it :)
Well I used to live off pretty much this at university only with more chicken and bacon and with 100% less effort on the presentation. Also why didn't you use your tomato cutting hack? To send people to more Katie video goodness?
+Michael K you got me! 😇
My italian heart is broken :(
Oh nooo! I'm so sorry, please don't say that. Nonna gave me the approval as long as I acknowledged it's not better than the real deal. It's just a cheat's pasta recipe. No reflection of Italian cuisine!
