if i hadn't already started on a quiche, I would be doing this but a quiche is almost a pizza right. Amazing job Katie Pix, the 4 minutes and 49 seconds make it.
+Katie Pix hi Katie, thanks for your reply - seen your delicious recipe where you make the tofu chocolate mouse - gonna try that well as well... Love the way how you present it - I'm a professional opera singer, so it would be great to hear you sing while cooking ;-) cooking and singing goes well together ;-)
looks amazing. love to have recipes like this for my boys. Always hungry they can't get to the eating part fast enough. But this recipe is not only fast enough for them they can help making it. thank you so much for sharing with us.
make sure the handle on your pan is oven safe. if not, get a baking sheet (a normal one should be fine for a pizza this size) and stick that in the oven right as you turn on your grill. once the pizza's ready, it should be hot enough, and VERY CAREFULLY move your pizza from the pan to that tray
Absolutely love these videos 😄 I must ask though, where do you get your energy from? I mean this in the kindest possible way, but are you a little drunk or high when you make these videos? Lol. Hey I don't judge haha. Just curious, for me, you sound like I do when I am a little drunk haha. X
Neither! Just in my happy place in the kitchen and was born with the facial expressions of a Loony Tunes cartoon! Drama-school as a youngster probably didn't help! Brought me out of my shell a little too much ;)
Yum! I am *definitely* making this! :) just one question, how much self-raising & plain flour? You didn't say the quantity. Does it matter how much? 50/50 of each? 👋😊
Sorry about that Attila! The full dough is... 170g wholemeal self-raising flour 170g plain flour 1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 280ml buttermilk
This is off topic, but can Bechamel sauce be used as a base sauce for Pizza. So Creamy. Can we use Carbonara sauce as base for Pizza. Or maybe stuff bechamel in the pizza base and top it with marinara and cheese and toppings.
If you want a creamy sauce then you can use creme freche, that's also a little lighter and goes really well with finely sliced white onions and bacon. But otherwise yes you can use Béchamel sauce as a white pizza base! :D Let me know how it goes.
Yes, absolutely! It's a soda bread dough - completely delicious. Shape the dough into a ball and place it on the baking sheet on a sprinkling of flour to avoid sticking, and pat it down a little. Cut a third of the way through the loaf with a sharp knife in a criss cross which will form the loaf into four crusty sections. Then dust with flour and bake straightaway in the centre of the oven for 40 minutes at 200°C!
How much of each kind of flour did you use, Katie? Also, I can find self-rising flour where I am easy enough, but we don't have whole wheat self-rising. Only white. How weird is that?
RECIPE FOR DOUGH (apologies for the missing quantities... dough!) 170g wholemeal self-raising flour 170g plain flour 1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 280ml buttermilk. The wholemeal isn't compulsory, just gives a better crispness to the base! That's so annoying though!
I wouldn't recommend it as the bicarbonate and raising agents in the bread will continue to react and may give an unwanted tang to your bread. But because it really is so speedy, and there is no rising time, you can make and bake in just 15 minutes! Sorry to be a pain!
You need the acidity of the buttermilk to react (giving the rise). But if you use whole milk and squeeze in some lemon juice, you'll be able to make our own buttermilk!
Forgot to share to the other three host on The Kitchen too. They had to ask and the men still had nothing except a fork next to them. They didn’t look happy. They stared into the camera was gasping.
Nice tip, I do this all the time
really good for a quick meal.
You can make a large batch of pizza dough, and freeze them untill you need!

can we use this dough to bake normally in the oven straight away?
Thank you(:
Yes, absolutely! It's a soda bread dough - completely delicious. Shape the dough into a ball and place it on the baking sheet on a sprinkling of flour to avoid sticking, and pat it down a little. Cut a third of the way through the loaf with a sharp knife in a criss cross which will form the loaf into four crusty sections. Katie Pix wow, thank you so much!(:
Hey, Katie, how can I replace the buttermilk?
You can use sour milk or add 1/2 tablespoon of lemon juice to whole milk! :D
How much of each kind of flour did you use, Katie? Also, I can find self-rising flour where I am easy enough, but we don't have whole wheat self-rising. Only white. How weird is that?

Katie Pix Thanks, Sweetpea! ^.^
Can I keep it the leftover dough in the fridge and use it the next day?
I wouldn't recommend it as the bicarbonate and raising agents in the bread will continue to react and may give an unwanted tang to your bread. But because it really is so speedy, and there is no rising time, you can make and bake in just 15 minutes! Sorry to be a pain!
+Katie Pix well i'll just make less dough. Love your recipes! Thanks!
Brilliant
Thank you so so much!
can you just use full cream milk?
You need the acidity of the buttermilk to react (giving the rise). But if you use whole milk and squeeze in some lemon juice, you'll be able to make our own buttermilk!
So basically a soda bread pizza dough...genius!
Yep. Super simple and so damn tasty!
She forgot the pepperoni
Shhhhh ;) It was demolished in the next batch!
Forgot to share to the other three host on The Kitchen too. They had to ask and the men still had nothing except a fork next to them. They didn’t look happy. They stared into the camera was gasping.

It's a gel polish, so that bad boy is going nowhere!
I can't make this because I don't know how thick a pound coin is!

I suffer from a pizza curse, if I eat pizza, somehow I always eat it 3 times in that week^^ it is genuinly the worst^^
Sounds good to me?! ;)
Katie Pix it's one of those weird curses that sound really good at the beginning but I am sick of pizza :-D
Marry me Katie Pix please I can cook as well but I'm 15 so I don't think it would be legal
