The riff at 0:44 was so hard my eyes literally closed from the 😩 face I made. Killer riffs as always Nate!! Always a nice breath of air to see Spector switch up the typical Fender/Musicman tones.
Neat a new preamp! that has been the biggest complaint about spectors lately. hopefully the electronics make their way down the line to more affordable models.
Sweet bass. I only saw 4 and 5-string versions. Do you know if they have a 6-stringer? I've been playing bass since 1975 and switched to 6-stings about 20 years ago.
As much as l want to like Spector I just can't. Majority of their Basses sound incredible scooped and overwhelmingly compressed. I think it's a guitarist wetdream to have their bassist play a Spector because it's going to get buried in the mix.
I was always able to guess if a band was using a Spector, even if the bass player was not a known Spector endorser. They have a unique sound to them. Which is what makes a bass worth buying. (Fender jazz, precision, MM, etc. can have their own unquie sound also). A piano like clarity with a certain growl is Spector's. Since it is unique, rest is individual preference though. You might not like it, but Megadeth - Trust Alice In Chains - Would? Life of Agony - River Runs Red PAIN - Party In My Head A few off the top of my head, where the Spector bass sound was noticably "buried in the mix".
@@megiribagiri Those were some good examples thumb👍. I guess it was too much saying it would be buried in a mix. I always wanted to get a Spector especially because I have a very similar bass (Schecter Stilletto Studio 5) but to me it seems like there's something missing. Although there is that "Spector Growl" coming through the mix, it's still a pretty thin sound.
@@megiribagiriI had no idea that Alan from LOA was using a Spector for that album, but now that you mentioned it. It really must have been one because it sounds so similar to Mike Starr’s bass tone.
@@megiribagiri I'd usually call bs on a take like this, but honestly with Spector I agree. For a more modern example Don Broco's superlove is very clearly played on a Spector. Not for everyone - certainly not for my use - but an incredibly unique, usable tone.
Thanks for watching, guys!

Instructions on how to promote a bass:
-Step one: let Nate play it.
step 2.......drop the price to a affordable one
@@sebg2086 cant afford a euro buy a cheaper line man. they do make cheaper ones.
He is good .
2:20 I had to slow down to .5 speed to see where the pick went and I’m still not sure how you did it. You’re a Wizard Nate!
Nate is dominating any bass..
Amazing playing, amazing sound.
So rad! You make it sounds amazing!
BEAUTIFUL SICKNESS
Good lord. That demo broke my brain
SPECTOOOOOOOOR!!!!!!!!!!!🤟😎🤘
The Dark glass sound always seems hollow to me. Like they assume we all want a particular tone.
Damn …wicked 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Always menyalaa abang ku 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Sound great! I'm thinking about buying a new 4 lx or 4 cst. A comparison between the new 4 lx and 4 cst would be great! 🤘
❤❤❤
Perfect bass for Mexican Guitar Pop genres
My confidence on the instrument reaches zero every time this man starts playing lol
Yo Nate you kILL me awesome bass playing
Your intro face just after you killed it mage me spit my coffee 😂 you da man
amazing intro jam

Nate! Awesome playing as always!! Quick question... Do the balance and EQ controls have center detents??
Yes they do.
Filthy nasty chops! The 5 string flavor of this bass is on my radar for sure.
How does this bass compare to is predecessor the LT?
👍👍👌
Sounds buzzy? Compared to Spector’s 5ST demo video
That first song has Doom theme vibes 😊
I just watch for the intro jam.
CS time

Great sounding bass, but that preamp is still no Hazlab.
You dominate Junior bass style , you just need way kore pound and dance haha😅
Fleet Fingered Is all I can say .
Top end has too much zing, typical Dark Glass tone... I bet it sounds way better with a Haz clone! Bass looks beautiful though.
It sounds very scooped unfortunately. I wanted to like this bass, but it doesn’t sound great to me
It really doesn't sound great. Great looking though.
Come on man! Please! You want it to sound like a honking goose or something?
@@2ndEditionBryceI second . In Ian Allison’s video, it sounds so much better. That one is a 5 string tho

Actually, Spectors are very notorious for cutting through the mix due to their very recognizable mid-range.
