Another popular method was to perform a lobotomy, which was used in the form of a needle being driven behind the eye and into the brain to leave the patient in a neutral state (a vegetable is a common term used for people in such a state).
Alice is quite possible the most beautiful video game protagonist. Some designers slack off, some leave out important content, but if there's one thing that sets this design team apart, it's the hair. Seriously, look at the movement of her hair in-game. Absolutely flawless!

All I think about now is death, guilt, & misery when someone tells me to go to my happy place & for some reason I enjoy being in my corrupted wonderland.
