- This week we worked 38 hours driving for food delivery apps like doordash, uber eats, walmart spark and grubhub. How much did we make? I've been delivering in PHNX Arizona for a few weeks now. it's pretty good not as good as boston tho. it has been fun learning the city there is definitely some money to be made here. so lets get that money as a delivery driver and see how much we made this week as a gig worker independent contractor for these sus delivery apps. Let's gooooooooo! also dashy makes a return. bro got a kid now.

Seems nearly impossible to make over $150 a day in Orange County, CA. Granted I usually work 6pm - 1am
IM close by in North San Diego County. The only people makin more than that are working 10 -12 hr shifts.
I was thinking the same thing. Tbh I wish I could work full time doing delivery but it’s just not busy enough in OC.
I used to dash the Gilbert/202 -Santan Mall and killed it at breakfast to lunch. Lot of office and Dr. Offices.
Are you guys multiapping? Maybe it would also help to track your deliveries and see if you're leaving money on the table by taking certain deliveries? Or to try different hours/ times of day if possible? Not trying to be a player hater, but it's weird to me because I work similar hours and I'd be mad if I didn't make 150 a day. I usually try to go for 200. And I'm from Ohio where things are generally a lot cheaper (although maybe that is what's working against you) good luck out there, west coast friends 🤙

Just so you know after a few dust storms you may want to change your air filters. Gas mileage reasons and air you are breathing in your car
You still did well, but you'll see here in the desert you usually need to work 10-12 hours on average for $200 before 20-30 in gas plus insane stoplight times and traffic. Then taxes of course. So a buck fifty lol.

What do you do when they request you bring it up to the room? some of these customers expect a lot and leave small tips

Dude, you make me look poor. I make 45 a day in Florida. And sometimes Uber eats and Doordash on Saturdays are just not giving orders at all. Wow congrats,great job.
I’m new in Daytona and learning the app an d delivery process. Orders at this point haven’t been good but hope that changes when I get more selective on orders and work busy times.
Move Northern VA easy $200 day or more. Close to DC.

@@chickenricesteak541, there is a creator who delivers out there and he mentions the same thing. One week in December 2019 he made almost $2K in one week. I believe what you said.

I went from doing Uber Eats to Uber X. What I had to do was have all my vehicle information deleted, then, after all the background checks were completed, have new vehicle information entered in order to drive. In the app, under preferences, I can now do deliveries, rides, or both.

Bottom left on Uber map screen where it says offline click icon that looks like a seatbelt or something. I see where you can select Uber delivery and /or Uber driver if eligible.
I drive about 6 miles plus to my area. It’s worth it. It’s mostly rich homes.

I made $32 an hour with low paying orders. Is at the right time at the right place… and how fast you are. Or if you live in a good city too that pays high. I live in Houston and DoorDash sucks here! It was good but too many immigrants got in. I do Uber now, faster orders always busy. I can do 5-7 orders an hour bc I use to drive for ups

You can only do rideshare in your licensced home state. And only food delivery in any state that has that service. That's why you don't see it appear on the app. Unless you fill out some paperwork getting you permission if you feel like going through that.

When the area I am in is gray, but the neighboring area is red. I click the red and I click Dash along the way and then I’ll usually get two or three orders going into that area or a few or a grayed out area. Try that sometime.

I don't understand how none of the UA-cam guys talk about or use the Para app. You filter out the shit stores so they auto-decline them. My auto declines are Popeyes, Five Guys, KFC, Walmart, Chik-Fila (all the clown show stores where you wait forever constantly). You also set filters on auto-decline for poor mile to dollar ratios so you don't talk yourself into taking borderline orders that don't make sense to take.
Para app is subscription based or free completely?
@@pandemicccc Free....works for Uber Eats but Doordash blocks it because they don't want you turing down garbage offers. App is awesome and safer to drive with when you use also. you don't have to reject all the crap its automatic if it doesnt fit your parameters you set up
I ran throught the same problem with delivery.. I fixed mine with going into preference and clicking where it says show more and activating it there. If you call them, they will add it for you too!! Excited to see the challenge!

Hey Trevor, any Advice for people doing Ubereats/Doordash in Houston? The market here is pretty bad, and people tip-bait a lot, I regularly see orders for less than 1 dollar per mile ratio, and most of them are under 5$

Have you tried hanging out in the Heights or the area around Rice? Gotta be where the college kids are cause they're the ones ordering food delivery most
I had to have someone from support change what they call the "flow" of my account/app from delivery to rideshare.
I think you'll find the average in AZ gets capped at 23-24 an hour even multi apping max. The go hours are sleepy for sure. 8-10 hours will be 200ish before expenses if you are grinding hard.. No area tips more than the other. This is not Boston. Majority here do not tip. You spend a lot of time declining.

It is really frustrating when the previous driver doesnt cancel the order, so what I do now is when this happens and its a decent payout, specially when its a 35-45 payout from it just being sitting forever or 2-3 going to try to pick it up; i accept the delivery, contact the customer and then call support and tell them what i contacted the customer; a couple times they asked about me starting the trip and i just said it was to contact customer they never asked and i got 35 out of 43 for example.
Because by unassigning we are just sending someone else to waste their time again
but it does suck to have to spend 15-30 minutes talking to support having them check on the store and all that

I heard Scottsdale is an epic honey hole for doordash. They have big tippers in that area. Also the desert has weird weather- monsoon rain seasons (in the summer usually) and dust storms.

Yo brotha Trevor next time you get a order like the Panda Express one where it was $35 for 2 miles and they tell you that some dasher delivered it already don’t cancel the order just accept it and click you got the order and make it seem like your going to the persons house once your close to it just click delivered I’ve done this a bunch of times trust me its a glitch in the system so technically the glitch pays you bro lol just looking out for you. You could’ve easily snatched those 35 dollars in your pocket brotha

Your gas costs are so low. Your car must be very economical if you drove 550 miles and gas was only $72. I'm in Canada and did 1076 Uber Eats trips a couple years back. I used to get my gas across the border in Washington State (but gas prices were high a couple years ago everywhere) My car is also 6 cyl (3.0L) which didn't help. I just found I was filling up every 2 or 3 days.

That hourly rate doesn't mean much if you're not subtracting the gas lol. I make about 24-29 an hour, on average (though I made a cool $40 per hour on Saturday), but gas is costing me about $6 per hour, now; which is plummeting my pay to just over driver base pay (18.50 where I am in CA) 😵💫 And considering we have to pay self-employment taxes on top of that, I think I'm barely making above CA minimum wage.
