Upgraded my home theater with the HU710PW April 2024 (from an Optoma HD25LV ) and was NOT impressed UNTIL I upgraded my Comcast/Xfinity DVR and cable boxes to units that actually output in 4K and WOW I love it. HOWEVER, the projector was connected to home WIFI and said it was up to date but had problem with new equipment and HDCP protocol. Projector said it was on software version 01.00.16 and "up to date". Had to download the version 03.01.02 from the LG website and install via USB memory stick and then it worked. Follow the instructions and you'll be good to go.
YEs. I just bought this used and while it's shipping from CA, I'm reading the manual and it briefly mentions ceiling mounting. PDF manual cut and paste: INSTALLATION Ceiling-Type Installation WARNING When installing the product on the ceiling, observe the following precautions to prevent the projector from falling: -- It is recommended to install the product through a professional installation services provider. (If installing on the ceiling, modify the projector’s PJT Mode settings) --Do not use adhesive, lubricant, oil, etc. when using the mounting equipment. --Do not tighten the screws with an excessive force since the projector may fall due to breakage of the screw connection part. -- Standard screw: M4 x 8 mm, M6 x 10 mm, 1/4-20 UNC x 5 mm (Applicable screw types may vary depending on the model.) -- Recommended torque: 5-8 kgf.cm (4.34-6.94 lbf-in) • A failure to follow the precautions may result in injury or death and product damage due to the fall of the product.

@@kazi1 @Kazi I really appreciate those words and you liking the video means the most to me over views. I want to make sure I put out videos that I'm proud of and that the few people that watch them are satisfied!
You misunderstood the lifespan specs. 833 days is how long the light source is rated to rated to last if it was left on 24/7. If the typical person averages 6 hours a day, the light source should then last for a little over 9 years.

When watching via inbuilt Netflix, can you output the sound to the AV through the HDMI ARC, or must you use optical out?

I think it’s little too expensive for what it is. I say it should be price at $1500.
it's now priced at $1,200
just bought one used on ebay for $600, no remote, another $20 off ebay.
Looks very dim
So this projector will last me a couple and a half years? …..why would I want a tv that only lasts a couple years?
