Boi, when you posted this comment, the only thing you knew about him was that he slaughtered a ton of children and made their spirits suffer inside robots and you feel sorry for him. You didn't know anything about his character, all you knew was that he was a child murderer and somehow he was everyone's favourite character.
Ah, Freddy Fazbear's. The story of a place who's bad designs killed multiple staff. All this could've been avoided if they 1) did doors normally instead of electricity to keep them closed. 2) Actually used doors. I mean, killer animatronics, right? Let's remove the door! Then they'll think its too easy, and won't kill us!! 3) A spring loaded animatronic??? Why make it needlessly complicated when you can just use a normal costume for your mascot. No deaths involved. But then, it probably wouldn't back as fun. But still.
It wasn't necessarily set off by the laughter itself (nerd mode activated.. no offense nerds) It was partially due to the haste in which Afton put on the suit. He was panicking, being chased and harrassed by the spirits of the children he killed. Looking for a place to hide. When he saw the suit BINGO went his mind and he "frantically" pulled the suit on. It would have been different if he was more careful. And depending on what kind of laughter it was, it could have had more of an effect on the spring locks. Maniacal laughter involves more breaths and a lot more chest compressions while normal (or somewhat normal laughter) isn't well... Get the point? And keeping in mind the fact that in his haste of pulling the suit on, he could have triggered something. Springlocks are basically wound up springs that are sensitive to breaking free by a sensitive humid breath. Moisture on the springlocks can allow them to release and plunge inside a person’s body, the hard plastic piercing into your body, and all that sharp steel that will penetrate and rip up your flesh, puncture your organs, and additional endoskeleton parts that are launched by the springlocks into your body, imagine that pressure that would crush, and apply so much pressure on your body, plus you’ll be choked, not only from your rapid struggle to stay alive and the fact that your neck is being closed in because of the locks, but also from the blood that’s filling up your lungs. Your death will be very, very painful, you will scream, but not for long, your vocal cords will be crushed. Your organs then penetrated and ripped up, and bones sometimes fractured and dislocated. And after lightning bolts from your nerves that will trigger all that immense pain, your nervous system will loose itself. Your brain will be pushed towards the face, and you will loose consciousness from blood loss, the pain will begin to end, and as all the locks put the endoskeleton from behind you to inside you, the fabric in the springlock suit will be saturated in blood. And after long minutes, you’ll die. I love to describe a springlock failure, because I just am obsessed with the death of Afton.
