- Join me for a day of thrifting adventures! We'll hit 3 thrift stores and then check out my haul. If you stay until the end, I'll share a quick peek at Sterling Library at Yale University - it's absolutely beautiful!

Waterford will always have an acid etching but I believe the glasses you have are Lady Ann by Gorham. Gorgeous!
Whoever made them, they're so pretty! I'll have to do some research and see if I can identify them as Gorham. Thanks for the tip!
Hi Kris, Love the blue dishware...so pretty. The blue salt n pepper shakers too....notice the theme? My favorite color.
Also, the little tour of Yale was so interesting! Beautiful buildings and interiors.

Ohhh the pink roses lamp!! So delicate and beautiful. I would have caved and bought it! I love the Iris mug!! Great items in your haul. I love your kitties. ❤ UPDATE. Watched Yale footage. What a beautiful college. I'm sure, especially the inside, is breathtaking to see in person.
The lamp was beautiful. It's good that I passed on it, because Indy and Iris LOVE to break lamps! Yale is stunning - I only showed the tiniest fraction of it. I'm hoping to take some more footage to share for a future video. Thanks for watching and leaving me a comment!
Loved the Yale tour. Makes me want to see Oxford and Cambridge .My husband worked in the Beinecke library as a student in the 70's. We were lucky enough to tour the entire university in 2001. It was the 300th anniversary of Yale! Our daughters will never forget it. A wonderful family experience
I bet Oxford and Cambridge are amazing! Beinecke is an absolute treasure - your husband was lucky to work there! How fun for your family to tour the entire university! It must have taken ages to go through it all. Someday I would love to go on the Yale cemetery tour - I hear it's amazing.
I have the Lenox Poppies on Blue as my everyday dishes. I got rid of the short coffee cups and replaced them with the larger mugs. I frequently see the short cups at thrift stores so I suspect others have done the same thing.
It's a really beautiful pattern - it must look lovely as your everyday set! They just sold, actually. I bet your right about the short cups. That would make a lot of sense.
Another great adventure. Live in Cheshire, never knew Yale was so beautiful!! Have you been to Cindy's Unique Shop in Wallingford? Nice place. I had my Henrey cat, who turned on the gas on the stovetop, knocked over Bunn coffee maker(got home at right time! Smoldering!!, and he tried jumping in fish tank. They are fun!!
Oh my goodness! Henrey should meet his soul mates, Iris and Indy! That must have given you quite a scare! Cindy's has been on my list of places to check out for a while now. I'll have to get on that - thanks for the tip!
Great video. I’m glad you picked up the Waterford glasses - I was worried that you passed them up. Keep looking for the acid etching on the bottom or even side. Sometimes it’s very hard to see.
It doesn't help that I have awful vision! I need to bring a magnifying glass with me when I shop!
My Cat slapped the only Tiffany's thing i have ever owned and bought at Salvation Army .. crystal jewel box, it was ingraved Tiffany and company .. it was my most awesome find in over 40 years of thrifting .. lol started in my teens . I just shook my head and said I KNEW IT.. NOW THAT IS MY STORY . MY CAT SLAPPED MY TIFFANY DISH RIGHT OFF DRESSER IN FRONT OF ME.. BY THE WAY $3.99
That's absolutely painful!!! You must have been so excited to find it and so horrified when it was ruined. Cats are adorable, but not great respecters of breakable objects! 😂

i watch your videos and i really do love them! in todays watch I saw you dislay an item with TeleFlora on the bottom and you pondered what TeleFlora is. if I am not mistaken, TeleFlora is on the bottom because it was sent by a flower shop when someone called in and ordered flowers for another person. usually the 2 people live in separate cities.

Another viewer just told me the same thing! I'm glad that the mystery has been cleared up. I see it quite a bit - including on some pretty teapots.
Those black and white plates look similar to something I've seen at Home Goods.
I have to admit, I'm a pretty big Home Goods fan, so that wouldn't surprise me. The plates had decent price comps, so hopefully they'll sell. Fingers crossed!
I love to thrift with you! in the north there are very nice thrift stores with good prices. the goodwill in my city is awful. it is all mixed up and junky with not much to make a selection.
We have a fair bit of junky around here too, believe me. It's such a treat to shop at a more curated thrift store (which I did yesterday - video will be out in about 2 weeks). Thanks for watching and leaving me a comment!
Would you show your doggie gate up close?. I purchased one from the Salvation Army and am a bit confused about the smaller part.
I'll be happy to! I'll try to remember to include it in my next video. I'm assuming you mean the one in the dining room/library. I'm not sure if I've shown the one in the kitchen/sunroom.
be very careful about what your cats eat or chew! string or thread will kill them. it happened to one of my cats. i didn't know he had eaten thread and found him very ill. he had surgery which cost $1,000.00.
UGH! Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely keep a look out. Recently, they're obsessed with knocking Q-Tips out of the bathroom garbage and batting them around the floor. Why??????
I just subscribed and really enjoy watching… I ‘m sorry you didn’t like Red , white and blue… I am from Waterbury and I guess have become immune to the non-English speaking staff and the annoying repetitive announcements that the store closes at 6…
Anyway, I do frequent the store and have found some treasures including Waterford for $1.00 , westmoreland wedding box for $6…lemoge etc…also j crew skirt $5…its really a great place for rummaging… by the way, the discount rates are posted on a large tv screen at the front of the store… maybe I ‘ll run into you somewhere else in Ct

I sold one of the Bernardaud Limoges plates really fast and for my asking price - it paid for all of my purchases that day. Now that I know what to expect, maybe I could toughen up and just dig like I usually do. Sounds like you've found some really good stuff for awesome prices! If you ever see me out and about, please say hello - I would love it!
The CHURCHILL plates are modern pieces and sold readily at HomeGoods and those types of stores. I have seen cups and saucers at HomeGoods with similar designs as your plate.
