The Orrefores bowl was the best deal of the day! I miss your table decorating videos, would love to see you do them again. Have I missed seeing your chandelier installed?
Obviously, a cake stand is always beautiful and useful to hold a cake, especially my favorite, a pound cake. But actually, my favorite use for a cake stand is to take a low shallow bowl and put a piece of florist Oasis in it, and make a flower arrangement to sit on the cake stand. An arrangement that is elevated 5 or 6 inches off the table will always be infinitely more pleasing and attractive than one that is sitting directly upon the table.
I have a crazy corningware story: I have a casserole, maybe 8” high by 12x12i think. A wedding present from 1967 when my parents were married. A few years ago,we had a potluck dinner at work,I used it to bring in my contribution, and when we were done,I washed it and took it out to my car. I didn’t have my keys so I set it on the trunk of my car,and would put it inside when work was done. When work was done,I began to drive home, making 2 90 degree turns, and even went over train tracks!! After that,I hit a tiny pothole and heard a glassy jangle sound. Amazingly, this corningware managed to ride all that way without falling off the trunk of my car!!! This is either testimony to my luck,or the hefty weight of a good corningware piece!!! 🤣
Love the cake stand! Displaying a menu in a beautiful picture frame is a wonderful idea. I might pinch that concept and use it myself but don’t tell anybody. X
When I polish my silver and silver plate, when I’m all done I buff it with some neutral (or clear) shoe polish. Protects it a treat and really lengthens the time between cleaning. Obv not for platters or anything touching food, you would need a beeswax for that, but shoe polish protects photo frames fantastically. I wish someone had told me years ago…….so I just thought I’d say.
❤memo pad holder 2:32 blue & white is always popular but even more so during the summer season Italian shoes are always so well made. What a sweet man.
Wow!!! Amazing finds!! This ritzy location is on my list to visit soon! Your new friend was so excited with all of his “phenomenal” finds! 😄 Thanks for the great episode!!❤❤❤❤
20:30 CAKE!!! I have one by Shannon Crystal and it really is pretty. $10 about 3 years ago at GW. I will buy tops when I see them because I know I'll find a bottom stand to match it. You can fill them with succulents or even a small basket full of something as gifts. Thank you again for sharing such a great video. 😍 p.s. I have both pieces to that Mikasa dish that was sitting on top of the Swedish Crystal bowl you should have taken home. 😉
You made me recall the cooking pots my mother used called Guardian service; every so often I see one; they had glass lids. I really liked the Germany flowered bowl with gold trim; so lovely.
Good morning LMB 🙋♀️ Enjoyed the video, lots of nice items ❤😊 Thanks for sharing ❤️😊My favorite item is the beautiful heavy crystal bowl in the treasure Island section, sooooo beautiful ❤❤😊 Have a great day ❤❤😊
That bowl is amazing! It is sooo beautiful. I think I would have purchased the clog, and used it on top of present for a Dutch friend with blue and white ribbons.
The three compartment crystal dish with the beautiful Hobbs star cuts was simply lovely! And it was only $2.99! I wish I had been there to purchase it, I would have snapped it up very quickly.
I was holding my breath when I saw that Lomonosov box... Unfortunately it was empty.. I'm from the Netherlands and I only once had the luck of finding a gorgeous Lomonosov vase in a thrift shop.. 😍
Good to know, last year, I thrifted the crystal, Waterford, seahorse ornament! Looks great in my China cabinet! I always watch your videos, thank you so much, very creative and worldly
Only non-posh Goodwills near me… but still occasionally lucky. I guess the downside is that they know to look for the high end items in posh shops. If it was large enough, that memo holder could be a nice place to hold your phone while charging. Thanks for sharing.
We got this for everyday after a set of Noritake mother got through the 7th fleet when her husband was stationed in Shanghai before the war. I still have the good set.
🎉I was the 1K like !! ❤❤ You look Fantastic 🤩Great shopping trip wow and that guest was a treat 😆 loved the Orrefors bowl You cover so much!! ❤ all the info and put together so well, Headed to Frnkln 5/1-2 GW and The Antique mall are on my list 🧐 pls pls consider coming to see us here in East TN, your Dollywood awaits🦋 ck out all the antique/thrift in our area would love to host GREAT content ops. Thank you for bringing happiness to so many ❤
I find it surprising that in posh River Oaks, you would find ordinary mundane Currier and Ives blue dinnerware. Made in the 50's through the mid 80's by Royal China Company. It was inexpensive and available from grocery stores and retailers like Sears and Montgomery Wards ete.. I keep a look out for them, and those prices of $4.99 for cup and saucer are ridiculous. I have gotten them for as little as .25 to .50 cents, and plates for $1.00. The only ones close to $4.99 were the creamer and not sugar bowl, but it is a gravy or sauce boat. That is missing its underplate. Most pieces don't have a manufacturer mark or stamp. I'd say this pattern is meant for ordinary people, not the high toned wealthy.

I’d love to see the chandelier in place too!! ❤
What a sweet man Noi was! He really knows his stuff! I love how you are open to talking and sharing with others!
Such a joy to meet him. I invited him to our Houston Resale Guide & Map media launch.

That first big crystal bowl was gorgeous. 👍💕

Wow, that is a story! Could be advertising for Corningware “staying quality”.
Yes! I Corning is up here in Ohio,I should give them a call🤣

I've learned so much from you, Mary Beth!
As always, very enjoyable.

Still using my green club aluminum. A flute player is a flautist.
My flute playing friends tell me that flutist is their preferred term. I said flautist until recently.

The Orrefors bowl was a hidden gem. Thanks for watching!
Another great trip with you.Loving your spring outfit.x
Thank you! It's my favorite Michelle McDowell line of dresses.
I loved seeing what other resellers are finding. Can you do more interviewing when you are perusing the aisles?
Sometimes, shoppers allow me to film their carts.
That bowl is amazing! It is sooo beautiful. I think I would have purchased the clog, and used it on top of present for a Dutch friend with blue and white ribbons.
Thank you Lady Mary Beth! Love and appreciate you sharing all of your knowledge. It really has helped me.
I appreciate you!
I always love ❤️ your thrifting videos!
Thanks for watching!
Love your pink crystal ring LMB!...and your pendant too!
Thank you so much! The ring is Silpada and the pendant James Avery, both retired pieces.
I have a club small bigger than a sauce pan it has been pasted down in the family and i use it ever day. I love cooking with it.
Had the Club aluminum in avocado when I married in the seventies. No longer have it.
Buenas Noches, Hermoso y Elegante ❤ de Venezuela ❤️ Gloria Dios ❤
I have discovered Walther crystal/ glass in yellow guess from the 70s but practical daily use pieces
Love the club cookware, my mom had the turqoise blue set in several sizes!!!
Did not realize they made Club in turquoise.
@@LadyMaryBeth my mom...so trendy...we were knee deep in avacado when that was cool too!! Hahahaha

Your video very enjoyable to watch👍❤️💕🌹🎉

Found some at Stillgoode Consignment. Sharing in the next segment.
@@LadyMaryBeth Ohhh can't wait to see what you've found 😊
Hi lady Mary Beth sending love Ann 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️❤️❤️
All the best from Nashville, Tennessee. I flew in Sunday for family time.
my mom had the red Club pots xo
Good memories! Our pots and pans were avocado.
This location is SO EXPENSIVE!
We had the Club Almond cookware back in the day!
Neat! The Almond was a great choice to blend with any kitchen or tabletop decor. Our Avocado was more limiting, but matched the fridge. There is that!
I still have and use my club aluminum daily. Still in good shape
Waterford has a seahorse logo.
The seahorse was added to the logo in 1999. The gothic style is older.
Good to know, last year, I thrifted the crystal, Waterford, seahorse ornament! Looks great in my China cabinet! I always watch your videos, thank you so much, very creative and worldly
It's a pity that in my town there isn't shops like this......🇿🇦💞

My first thought...cigar ashtray??
The Currier and Ives cup and saucers were sold at Krogers as a promo in I think I remember the 60s
Glad to know this! Grocery store "china" was much loved and affordable to many.
We got this for everyday after a set of Noritake mother got through the 7th fleet when her husband was stationed in Shanghai before the war. I still have the good set.

Thank you so much! I am in Franklin until May 4. Would like to stop by the Franklin Antique Mall... maybe our paths will cross.
@@LadyMaryBeth we would love that definitely feel like we owe you a nice lunch at very, very least!!! Hope time with the family goes well 🥰🥰
Steel Magnolias !
It is annoying when the price stickers are stuck on the painted areas vs placing them on the bottom (not over the back-stamp )
I agree!

The fine china probably sold in the morning. 🤷🏼♀️
@@LadyMaryBeth I would have thought you had better take away from this. Than the good china probably sold early, that was kind of a lame response.
$250 shoes for $12😮😮
Why is everyone so crazy about Pyrex? I don't get it.
My mom has and still uses her Club dutch oven! I would’ve love to have our purchased those! Thank you for another great thrifting video! ❤️
Glad she is using the classic Club cookware. Built to last!
We need more than a 20 minutes 34 seconds for a clip.
It’s the perfect length for me ❤
I agree! The store was jam-packed and lots had sold earlier in the day. I hit the high spots. Will shop there again this summer.
People always assume the pricers at Goodwill don't know the value of things but most of us do .
It's good when these items are appreciated and displayed well. Hope the prices stay fair.
Why you keep calling “Treasures” treasure island ? It’s just stuff that most people have no use for.
That is the official name of the area.
