I appreciate you making this tutorial, it solved my problem trying to convert my PCB design from SVG to STL to import in Chitubox. Almost a flawless process, I just wish it preserved the original dimensions when importing the SVG. Before Thinkercad I tried Blender and Onshape but they created errors while converting to 3D and I was ready to give up. So thanks!

Excellent 👍👍 thank you for the great video. Only question I have , how come you made copies of each item but then deleted them? Was it in the case of an error you already had back up models?
I'll be trying this today , taking jpg changing into stl for 3d printing. Found some cool kids golf game on Amazon ,no one has stl files that I've found so I shall try to make them!
The reason as to why I made two copies was because the import file contained the two designs. I hope that clears it up for you. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask!

How hard is it to take three images of a complex item, front side and top to form a 3D print?
Are there any apps that can perform this task, what kind should, I be looking for a conversion app or otherwise?
I was doing research the past few years trying to come up with a clean conversion. jpg to svg to line drawing
Inkscape is a free, open source, vector editor that has a "Trace Bitmap" command. Its native file format is SVG.
The "BIG three" of free open source graphics programs are Blender, Inkscape and Gimp (3D, 2D and bitmap/photo).
Maybe telling us how to do what your doing would help

uhh how did you delete the background? Ive never used photo shop
I used the lasso tool to select the background exclusively! Hope that helps!

Change your smoke alarm battery
why when i groupe them it not going one on top like you?
I group a set to create the bottom layer and I then group another set to create the top layer. Please try and hope this helps!
i don't understand what you do with the cubes
The cubes are merely shapes I selected for the boolean process.
Why is tinker CAD telling me it found no ‘supported elements in this SVG’ when importing
Your original image file you converted may be corrupted. I would suggest converting it again or use an alternative file format.
