You’re very welcome, I post this sort of videos to help people. Sounds like you will be mixing up a storm soon.. I’ll be looking forward to hear of your successful repair!!
could you tell us the whirlpool part number of the worm gear you replaced and where you ordered it from? I have the same pronlem with the same Kitchenaid Pro 600 model you have. Thanks
If you go on to the whirlpool website, look for parts, there is a breakdown to what you need.. I can’t tell you the correct number because they go off of the serial number of the mixer. That is why I didn’t include the part number because if it wrong for your mixer you wouldn’t be too happy. Hope you can find what you need, if not email me and I can maybe help you out.. my email address is in the about tab on my channel page. Thanks for reaching out.. good luck. Here is the link to the parts, www.whirlpoolparts.ca/en_ca/parts-finder.html
Sounds like you have the pin in before the bottom gear. Here is a link to the parts site. Shows the breakdown. www.whirlpoolparts.ca/en_ca/parts-finder.html
I went online to whirlpool and got genuine factory parts from them. Here is the link, www.whirlpoolparts.ca/en_ca/parts-finder.html Since they make KitchenAid products. Thanks for the comment..

Glad you found this video to help you.. it’s fairly straight forward, as long as you have the right parts, you will be in business in no time..

Thanks for showing us how not to repack the grease. Always use food grade grease in your machine.
As a mechanic, you won’t die from auto grease.. and tell me how that grease will get into the dough?
Thanks, super informative. Hope that cold cleared up 🤧

I have added the website in the description of the video to find parts. Hope this helps.
That was food safe grease until you added gear grease
Doesn’t matter, there is no way grease will drip into the mixing pot.

Mine is doing the same thing and it’s hardly used as well these mixers are junk
KA mixers need to be maintained to stay running. Try driving your car without changing the oil. How will that work for you? It’s very similar to.
Maintained, do you have one of these mixers? Right out of the box they don’t do what they are advertised to do..
I doubled a bread recipe and used about 1400 grams of flour and I started smelling burning.
They sure don’t do what they are advertised! Thanks for your comment..
It’s a planetary gear, not planet gear.
Same thing. Thanks
These are junk. I know because I have one.
Yes, your right. I am quite disappointed with mine.
Junk, I agree and will never own another.
