- Welcome to my ninth flosstube. Time is flying, it feels like yesterday when i recorder my first flosstube 😉. This time I am enjoying the season with some autumn and christmas stitches. How lovely to see you again. We lived on the border between the Netherlands and Germany when my children were young and we celebrated 5th December St Nicholas day, putting their shoes out. We continued until they were much older wherever we were in the world and I do for my grandchildren. Thank you for showing us your beautiful stitching. Take care. Wendy.

I love the rainbow squares beautifully done. All your WIPS ARE VERY NICE. You are inspiring. Love your boxes. I have one that has a dachshund dog like my dog on it. I keep stitchy stuff in it too. Thank you for sharing.

The rainbow squares look really good. I wish I could see the true colours of the gift for your mum it always looks stunning. The lilacs are coming on well too. Just beginning the dozens of Christmas letters to those we keep in contact with at this time of year - moving due to work until this 12th one in retirement - so once they're done and off by early December I have space to stitch a few new decorations!😊
Oh those christmas cards can take forever to get sorted! But it is always sych fun to receive them so I guess it is just part of the season. Hope you are enjoying it! Good luck!

thanks for the inspiration. After spending ages window shopping for Vivsters patterns, I paused your video and went and checked her Etsy shop out yet again, only to discover everything was 50% off. Yay! And then I bought Farben des Wassers…. All in all, it was an expensive Flosstube for me. 😊

Hello Hanneke! Beautiful stitching as usual. I really like your Shannon Christine pillows. I’ve not stitched any of her designs yet but will definitely check them out. Yours are just adorable. I also like the miniature art pieces you are stitching. I’ve stitched a couple by Van Gogh and they are really enjoyable. I agree that it’s impressive that the detail is so good in such a small piece. I’ll check out the Etsy shop you mentioned. I think your lilac stitch is my favorite of all. Absolutely gorgeous! Thanks so much for another interesting video. I always like seeing your projects because you have a wide variety of things you're stitching on. I worry about thread running out in kits too - so far that's only happened to me on a Bothy Threads needlepoint kit, which ran out of background color with about 1/3 of the project left to go! I guess you never know until you try the different brands though, so it's really nice that you're sharing your experiences with us too. Thanks again and have a great holiday season!

Now there is an idea... I have had a look and I have one favorite in particular. The one with the beautiful deer in the middle... So I may have to put it on my to do list... Which ones are you working on? Happy stitching!
@@adutchstitcherI know the one you mean! Like a lot of stitchers I have her charts but have not actually STARTED any! The one I would like to start is the golden Christmas one - it has a big Nutcracker on it. I think it is the most stunning Christmas design I have ever seen. I also have a couple of wintery ones - Village in the Snow and the Chalet in the Mountains. She is so talented- I’m surprised we don’t see more of her designs being stitched on social media 🤷♀️😃
I just bought the Christmas tree pattern. I may stitch it on the grey aida shown in the pattern.

Hoi Hanneke, leuk om te zien waar je mee bezig bent, je borduurt veel en de progressie is duidelijk te zien. Leuk dat je moeder ook weer borduurt, het delen van een hobby is heerlijk. Ik vind wat je voor je moeder maakt, prachtig. Vrees wel dat ik het voor mezelf te saai zou vinden. De mini-art-schilderijtjes vind ik ook schattig. En ze zijn vandaag halve prijs op Etsy, Dus ik ga vast voor de bijl, vrees ik. 😮 Ik ben ook dol op blikjes, ik heb er bij ieder project een, bewaar er ook schaar, nagelvijltje, halve draden enz. in. Superhandig (en mooie reden om er meer te mogen kopen 😂). Veel borduurplezier gewenst weer!
Dank je wel! Ik hoop dat je inmiddels wat van de kleine schilderijtjes hebt aangeschaft ;). Wat een goed idee om per project een blikje te hebben... moet ik ook maar eens over nadenken ;). En ik snap wel wat je zegt over farben des wassers. Het is een prachtig stuk, maar het borduurt best eenvoudig weg. Maar de kleuren en de zijde zijn heerlijk om mee te werken, dus ik geniet er toch altijd van. Fijn weekend! Happy stitching!
@@adutchstitcher Ja, ik heb twee mini-borduur-schilderijtjes gekocht, een met amandelbloesem en een met vaas met zonnebloemen, beide van Van gogh, past mooi in mijn werkkamer met van Gogh-behang.🥰 Ik ga er niet meteen aan beginnen, eerst nog wat borduren voor kerst. Heb een patroon van sampler kerstboom van Liz Matthews liggen en daar ga ik vandaag mee starten. Hij wordt wsk voor mijn moeder.

Love your progress on Winter Robins! Interesting that the grey shows up as blue. Started on Zweigart Platinum 36 ct, but the colours did not show up. Have now ordered Lakeside linen in Ocean Mist 36 ct through Traditional Stitches in Calgary, eta unknown. Something to look forward to and meanwhile I'll follow your progress! Do you always stitch on aida?

And yes I usually stitch on aida, although I do have a few projects past and present on evenweave. But I prefer aida.

Ik had jouw naam verkeerd in mijn flosstube, let's call it even..😄 Net toen ik me had voorgenomen om geen patronen meer te kopen laat jij die mini art patroontjes zien. 😱 Nu moet ik mezelf enorm beheersen om er geen te kopen. Ik heb al veel te veel WIP's en nog heel veel kitted projects liggen. Dus heb ik besloten dat als ik een finish heb, ik mezelf mag 'belonen' door er eentje uit te zoeken.
