I found your channel last night and have watched all your flosstube videos. My hubby is half Dutch, his dad came out from Holland to New Zealand in the late 1950s. He came from Comvoirt, North Brabant. Your stitching is beautiful, it's lovely to find a fellow aida stitcher with the style of Wisps as myself. Great work on all your projects. I, too, love stitching flowers. My oldest WIP is a geisha girl with beautiful cherry blossoms. Your work on Lilacs reminds me of my late Grandma’s garden. I can’t wait to see your finish. Thank you for sharing your stitching. Nice to see you again.

So very lovely to see you and your stitching come up in my feed. I hope you enjoy your trip with your mom and that you have some nice autumn weather to enjoy as well. Your pillow finish of God is Good is perfect. Your finishing technique is flawless. Love the colors and pattern for Winter Robin. Here in the States, robins are a sign of spring rather than winter. I bet it looks wonderful on the pewter fabric. Your variegated thread choice for Petit Carnes is lovely and you did a really good job of picking corresponding matching colors. I love Lilies of the Valley so really like your Wildflowers kit. They are my second favorite flower, secondary only to lilacs. River Village is so pretty and I really enjoy how part of it is printed on the fabric. Congrats on only having 8 more squares to go on your mom's Christmas gift. Really great progress on your HAED and Artecy WIPs. I look forward each time you do a floss tube to the progress you have made on Lilacs. It is so lovely. Your Luca-S kits are so pretty. Here in the States, most of the time vase is the inexpensive vessels for flowers, etc. whereas vas is used a lot of times for high-end and expensive vessels. The evenweave fabric looks like it would be lovely to stitch on. I stitch on all fabrics but not all counts of fabric, although I have recently bought a piece of 25 count to try. I especially love the HS piece you're working on for your mum. In fact I think your choices are all beautiful and good luck with the intricate ones! I usually work on what I feel like which is why I try to make gifts well ahead or I lose enjoyment then the love disappears when it's a chore. Have a great time away - yes don't we often overestimate the time we'll have to stitch? - but without a small choice to cover tiredness after sightseeing we'd lose enjoyment I think. Fabric.

Hi Hanneke - Thanks for showing the Winter Robins - downloaded and starting in November. Thinking of the bleak Canadian winter, I might stitch on 36 ct. Zweigart Platinum rather than Ice Blue! Your steady progress on Rainy Night is amazing. Happy stitching, and prettige vakantie in Ameland!

Such a beautiful opening video. So nice to see you again. I laughed with you when you said on-line shopping is so much worse. I couldn't agree more! I have tried a number of methods to schedule my stitching on certain days, etc. but in the end I've come up with the same answer as you. I just stitch what I feel like when I feel like it. It's too hard to make myself stitch something when I'm not in the mood for it. And I would love to have your color conversion for the God is Good piece. I like the original but tend to go for a bit more color. Thanks and hope you have a great holiday!
So true, and if I have to stitch something I immediately rather stitch something else 😉. The colors I used are dmc: 472, 471, 642, 3778, 758, 3042, 3772, and anchor: 388 and 361. I did not change it exactly 1:1 with the original. Just picked colours as I went along. Hope you enjoy it!

Nice stitching! I prefer to stitch on linen or aida; I do use evenweave when it comes in a kit and I bought some at goodwill, so that will be used some day. Somehow I have more difficulty to count on eavenweave than on linen, which sounds strange I guess 😅

Heej Hanneke, Ik hoop dat jullie het leuk hadden op Ameland! Wij zijn er twee jaar geleden geweest en ik vond het echt fijn daar. Het balkon van de hotelkamer lag in de duinen, zalig gewoon. Je hebt veel afgekregen, goed bezig! Het was weer gezellig, tot snel! Joanita 🍄

Je 'farben' project is inderdaad echt heel elegant! Door de mooie motieven!! Maar ik vind je andere projecten ook mooi! En ik ga ook eens kijken voor je kits van magic needle en luca s! Mooi zijn ze. Ik borduur ook op Aida maar ook op evenweave fabric. Vooral op mijn grotere projecten. Veel plezier op ameland!! 😃

Hi Haneke, I was so happy to see your video come up today. I so enjoy them! I was wondering if you use a hoop or if you stitch in hand? I have found with my age now that it's easier on my hands to stitch in a hoop altho I used to stitch in hand with the sewing method. Your projects are so beautiful and I hope you will give us a report next video about your trip with your mother. How fun! I can relate to you and your mom contentedly stitching together all day! That's my idea of a perfect vacation! Enjoy it. I usually stitch on linen but enjoy even weave fabric as well. I find aida too stiff for my hands unless I use a hoop. Blessings to you!
Hi Vicky, lovely to 'meet' again ;). I stitch in hand and do not use a hoop or anything else. I just roll the fabric and hold it in my left hand. I do the victorian sewing method so my needle stays at the front of the fabric. I think it is great you have found using a hoop is helpful for you now as I think it is important to keep doing your hobbies no matter what age you are! And stitching in hand on linnen I have never attempted. I guess aida makes stitching in hand easier ;). Happy stitching to you!
Lovely progress on all your projects, Hanneke. I quite understand how daunting your full coverage is - I've not been brave enough to try one as I know I'd force myself to persevere with it even if I didn't enjoy it, so better not to put myself in that position! I particularly love your abstract patterned pieces like the Historiche Stichmuster (excuse spelling) which is beautiful. Have you seen Carolyn Manning's patterns? They might be to your taste. I have one, Carnival, which I'm hoping to start in the new year.

I love all your beautiful stitches. God is Good would make a lovely gift for my priest. I was thinking of the liturgical colors, bold purple, green, red, white and blue. And perhaps the frame in black and the words in gold.

@@adutchstitcher er is een handwerkwinkel in Hollum Oma's wol maar niet echt voor borduur dingen. De Primera in Buren verkoopt van alles voor breien, haken en naaibenodigheden. Verder niet echt een winkel op borduurgebied. Fijne vakantie.
