Ken Jeong has the intensity and weirdness a live action Tingle needs

You joke, But Karl Urban was one of the ONLY good things About that film, that and the FPS Section, And the Rock Getting Absolutely Destroyed(best Film ending ever, right there). Those 3 things, all that was good in that mountain of Crap.
Urban is a Damn good actor, And while I can't see him as Link, I Could see him as, perhaps, A Zora Warrior, a Goron, Or even The King of Hyrule... Or Links Teacher, depending on the storyline used.
I've run the numbers and the maths checks out but only if you also add Judge Dredd and the Sylvester Stallone Constant. So in conclusion, Karl Urban is Wesley Snipes in Demolition Man.... hmm hang on that doesn't sound right

The sheer number of really good Tingles suggested in this video is honestly shocking to me.

Andy Serkis would also make sense, he can nail the pathetic threat that Tingle embodies.
Andy Serkis is at his absolute best when he's just an unhinged lunatic, which I feel is perfect Tingle energy.

I may be biased, but Luke's suggestion of Elijah Wood is the perfect casting imo
It kinda’ is, tho. Daisy Ridley or Emma Watson as Princess Zelda. Dave Bautista or Jason Momoa as Ganondorf. Maya Rudolph as Nabooru/Urbosa. Danny DeVito as Tingle.

Whoever plays Tingle, it's obvious who Purah should end up being. Extensive film credits, background in the sciences, possesses an anti-aging rune. It is, of course, the one, the only, Jane Douglas.

I feel like when no one is looking, Tingle lets the facade drop and is basically Charles Dance’s murderous character in The Last Action Hero.

Andy did not come to play! The 1 - 2 punch of Robison followed by Grammer, inspired. Then, just when you think he's done, Andy empties both barrels and gives us Devito followed by Plemons. Incredible stuff. No one is fan-casting like Andy. Best in the game.

If he hadn't passed away, I would of nominated Robin Williams for the role of Tingle. He was a big fan of the Zelda series and even named his daughter Zelda. The two of them even appeared in a commercial for the 3DS remake of Ocarina of Time.

That was 8 minutes of shouting Andy Serkis at my screen and then 6 minutes of gentle weeping when you suggested the other ring-bearing hobbit.
Fred Armisen would make a great Tingle. He would bring that creepy weird energy to the role.

part of my thinks it would be funny to cast Ian Mckellen or Patrick Stewart as Tingle, i bet ryan reynolds would be a good fit though. Steve Buscemi or Danny DeVito could also be great choices

Inb4 Jack Black is actually cast as Ganondorf, Timothee Chalamet as Link, and Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Zelda. If that happens, I can only hope that Mr faux-Poirot himself, Sir Kenneth Branagh, is cast as tingles. I don't why, but I want to see it. A wild shout would be M. Night Shyamalan as Tingles. I'd watch it.
You're totally sleeping on two potential greats for the role. Daniel Radcliffe or Jim Carrey would make terrific Tingles.
Plus, Jim Carrey has already demonstrated that he can play weird green people.

I would say cast Alan Tudyk in the role of Tingle, he played weird characters before and can be both funny and unsettling. If i could travel back in time John Candy would be an interesting pick as well... but i cannot time travel yet. For a funny pick that will never happen i would like to see Arnold Schwarzenegger play it, for the voice alone (I'm Tingle and I WILL BE BACK :D) and of course size (Tingle the Barbarian!).

Can't belive Tilda Swinton didn't come up. Her Tingle would be ethereal and terrifing.
I picture Steve Buscemi as saying in full Tingle costume "Why do I have to be Mr. Tingle?" like the awesome line from "Reservoir Dogs" : "Why do I have to be Mr. Pink?" will never forget that no matter how long I live.

I thought of Jack Black (because of his personality, his nacho libre movies, and the Nintendo connection since he was in Mario), but I also thought of Andrew Serkis, who was Gollum, seems like a good fit too. 😂

For the same reasons as Elijah Wood, I nominate Daniel Radcliffe. He is now almost exclusively playing the roles of weirdos (he was a corpse, after all), AND how great would it be for a well known wizard actor to play a man you wants to be a fairy??
Bill Skarsgard would be a natural choice. He's already well known for playing an unsettling clown with a strong connection to balloons.
Love Andy's respect for Jesse Plemons. Underrated actor.

Okay but has anyone seen that series of youtube videos where Macaulay Culkin plays an uber driver with no experience driving? Just adult Macaulay, out of nowhere, and he puts on a riveting performance. Rewatching it now and it just screams Tingle. Dryvers, it's called.

They were so close with Kelsey Grammer. Luke even shouted "Niles!" at one point. The correct choice is David Hyde Pierce.
I think Andy was so close with an It's Always Sunny cast member. Tingle needs to be played by Glenn Howerton. The man that plays Dennis. He is the best at creating a truly creepy character and still somehow be funny
I genuinely think Luke would make a good Tingle. however I would not want that to actually happen, because the idea of encountering a Tingle that's as tall as Luke is viscerally horrifying to me

I was amazed at how long it took before Danny Devito was brought up. While there were many hilarious suggestions brought up, I don't think there's anyone more suited to the role than him.

All good picks if it's aimed purely at Western audiences, but a more international cast I reckon Tingle would be Hitoshi Matsumoto (Downtown, or look up Gaki no tsukai). Comedic chops, all the right expressions, big star in Japan.
I'm now going through every Simpsons episode with Bart and Sideshow Bob in it in my head and replacing every "Bart" with "Link."
I don't know about Tingle, but the most wholesome thing Nintendo could do is cast Zelda Williams as Zelda.
Macaulay and Elijah both great shouts. Also, if you haven't, watch The Good Son, starring the both of them. If you want an unsettling Tingle, Mac is probably the best.
