Teddy Riley is definitely a legend. I'm glad people are recognizing his contribution to the culture. He is 51 and looks young, maybe not getting married is the key to youthfulness lol.
I know y’ll are jumping into conclusion just because TR looks 38 at 51. Many studies revealed married men live longer than single ones. Once an unmarried man hits retirement age, that’s when the hard times starts, if he’s not financially secured.
Married men live longer....married women die younger. Single men die younger...single women live longer. Looks like men really need women more than they need them....we literally live longer when we don't burden ourselves with you for the rest of our lives. :)

Makes sense for this interview to be an hour. He’s really a legend. And it’s always amazing to me when people say they play music by ear. A lot of artist despise when musicians just play and don’t read the music or write it down, but I think that’s true talent.

Jonathan Marable No sir.

Jonathan Marable Big Facts...
@@pxu156 You don't think so? Kanye's first 3 albums are basically just rapping over Motown.
I don't understand why we need to denigrate someone's name to exalt another. Teddy is a great. Kanye is wonderful too. Let's say Teddy is much better than Kanye, should Ye put a gun in his mouth? What does one have to do with the other?

One of the most powerful interviews I’ve listened to in a long time. He is an amazing man and so humble. May God bless him.
Yes it is....if they STOP interrupting the man 🙄
Speak on it Teddy!! We need bands back, we need live music!! Musicianship is so vital!!! Salute to all the talented musicians out there.
His voice is very relaxing lol
Very ASMR
He sounds like if the ocean had a voice.🌊

Let's interview Devante Swing next, the producer of Jodeci. Plz
I second this.👍🤙💪👌😎
PrOj21Us word. That should be a 1 1/2 joint
that would be awesome. he's so underRated
Yes. Devante produced No More Pain. I need to hear that story.
Yesssss another legend LEGEND
I can't wait to see this Teddy Riley movie when it drops !!!!!!!!!!!
Rissa Lewis
Yeah. I think Dougie deserves a movie too. 👍🏾
I was in my early 20s..but Yup, Yup!!!
Y’all definitely need him to come back because he has such an extensive catalogue! His movie will be epic for the culture!
He is so humbled. His monotone voice is so relaxing ❤️💕
Teddy Riley should redevelop the sound and look of Luke James! Luke is one of the best vocalists of today and he is going unnoticed. Thank goodness for the New Edition movie otherwise musically he is forgotten!!
Exactly
DZIGIN Thanks, when I heard Luke James sing ,"My My My " by Johnny Gill I was in shock, his notes and riffs are amazing. He is the real deal and i think he can bring back R&B!
+debra james I totally agree with you
I agree. Luke has the potential to be so big, but his potential isn’t being explored. Teddy Riley would help him so much
I completely agree!!

I wish his mic was turned up or he spoke a bit louder. My laptop was on 100% volume, but that wasn't enough. I had to use my HDMI cable to link up with my TV and cut the volume up to 50 to hear what this legend was saying 😂😂
All that aside, I HAD to hear what this man had to say. I listened to an interview a few weeks ago and he was talking about how he chose the album cover for MJ's Dangerous. That is one of my FAVORITE album covers of all time!
PLEASE make a biopic on this man sometime! I would love to have Babyface do a lengthy interview like this as well!

IM DEFINITELY LOOKING FORWARD TO A FILM FROM TEDDY !!!
Teddy Riley is a musical genius. He's known for "New Jack Swing", but Teddy has a deep musical intellect. The brother is the truth!
When you interviewing a legend you can't be making corny jokes you gotta be on your game and soak in everything that you hearing from this legend. Great interview
Teddy is the first producer who made me LOVE music.
Man, I still got that cassette from Guy and I don't even have a cassette player anymore. To me it is gold.
Makes sense for this interview to be an hour. He’s really a legend. And it’s always amazing to me when people say they play music by ear. A lot of artist despise when musicians just play and don’t read the music or write it down, but I think that’s true talent.
Joi Love I play music but the ear.. it’s better because you learn to listen
Teddy is one of the most humble dudes I met!! He is truly the🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
I want Aaron Hall to come on DJ Vlad and The Breakfast Club cuz R.Kelly was influenced by Aaron Hall took his style and flipped it....I want to hear the truth about that... Aaron Hall is underrated
No you don't. He has some videos here where hes sittin with Magic Don Juan talkin bout what all cats seen his junk and know his BM was sweating him etc etc. I used to dig him to til I watched that mess!
Mistress Meltz you’re right I saw those videos I use to love him but now I have a different outlook on him

Teddy Riley voice is so soothing he should do ASMR 😂
I agree his voice is soothing. But what is AMSR? I've seen that around, but don't know what it means.
Anitra Williams It's ASMR(Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response) where ppl make videos of things that supposed to stimulate your senses or calm you like talking in whispers, the sounds of crunchy pickles being eaten, the sound of scissors cutting hair etc. It's been popular for a few years now
Lol
Korrine Sky lololol

As much as I can check out The Breakfast Club, this Teddy Riley interview, was by far top-3 music related interview all time! Teddy is a legend and the stories he told, were awe-inspiring and use dropping. Great, great interview! #LovedIt

Wow. This has to be one of _the_ most classic BC interviews that I've ever seen. This interview was captivating, moving, inspiring, & heart-breaking, covered all the bases for the time allotted. Can you imaging being scammed out of millions by your financial advisor? And he was kickin' it with Alpo, Rich Porter, and AZ?? Teddy is a very forthcoming person & his honesty & willingness to engage made this interview. Very enjoyable. It wasn't long enough. One of my all time favorite producers, you can put 'Groove Me' on today & it'll still rock. Get Ted on Drink Champs stat. We need that movie! And welcome to Vegas Ted! #ImfromEastHarlem

Teddy’s like Prince. He created his own genre of music with New Jack Swing which replaced The Minneapolis Sound the genre created by Prince as the most popular genre of black music in the late 80’s.
