I have always liked the standard and the first time I heard it was on an accordion. That was many years ago, so thanks for sharing this one Andy.
Thanks Stuart. Yes, it works really well on the accordion.
Great lesson, but, I have to comment on that absolutely beautiful guitar that makes me drool. Every single part of it is gorgeous. Lucky you ! Again this is a great lesson on Caravan.
I sadly sold that guitar! I do have a 335 now. I found the Bigsby a bit frustrating on that 355. It was a stunning example looks wise, but I had real issues with tuning stability. In the end it bugged me too much.
What do you think of this standard? I think it’s a really good one to know and fun to solo over 😎
Excelente lección. Muchas gracias maestro.
Great 👍🏼 Andy ! Your yt channel is really a precious resource for me ! Thanx a lot!
Thanks for the comment Aeter. Glad to hear you find the channel helpful :)
Absolutely awesome lesson! Thank you!
Glad you liked it Matthew. Thanks for watching.
Awesome jazz chords
The melody is the only way I can get through "So What". Counting goes right out the window the second I lose track of the melody.
ah man this is wonderful stuff, thank you kindly for unraveling these mysteries :)
My pleasure!
Потрясающий урок- разбор!! 🙌✨
Thanks for watching :)
Marvelous, thank you Andy. I'm working on a groovy version with #9's
Thank you - enjoy!
Great lesson. Thanks 👍
Glad you liked it!

Thanks!
Thanks for the super! Much appreciated.
thank you
You're welcome
Lovely guitar
Cheers
This is such a great lesson: could you possibly do a lesson on the chord progression for 'Ain't Misbehaving' many thanks
Thanks Andy
I've sent this to my friend so he and I (a drummer) can play this together
Sweet! Hope it goes well ✅
@@jazzguitarwithandy thank you, so far I am having trouble finding a drum chart for caravan that matches what I've heard when listening to it but we'll see
Hi Andy. Do you have a video to learn rythms that you show on this video ? (The latin feel and the swing feel). Thx for your work :)
Hey Max, In my video on the chords to 'Night in Tunisia' ua-cam.com/video/VZ1nJwE_XHk/v-deo.html I cover how to play the latin feel rhythm. I've not made one yet on standard swing rhythm - I think I should do though! Thanks for the comment.
You probably know this but Chicago does a rockin version of this on their Night and Day album... And yours is the closest I've found to to that sound... You just gave me the foundation...
I did not know that, I will have to heck that out!
@@jazzguitarwithandy You won't regret it... It is awesome... That entire album is covers of swing standards.
Thanks for the info. Very useful But why every single detail except the melody? Lol
I'd love to cover that, but fear it wouldn't be allowed!
Hi Andy - do you use jazz strings, please? Your Gibson sounds jazzier than other 335 style semi hollow bodied guitars i have heard.
I use Thomastik bebop gauge 12 on my 335 these days. I think in this video I had flat wounds on.
Listening to Duke Ellington, the last chords in section B appear to be Ab7 to G7 rather than Ab6 to C7. The G7 leads back into the C7 of part A better…am I wrong here, any thoughts?
Not wrong, just another way to play it. That part of the song differs on a lot of recordings. Another common one is to go Ab and then Db7 to C7.
@@jazzguitarwithandy cool, thanks Andy.
i like you--- but ---stop talking --way too much-- and thank you for your hard work.
It's a always a difficult thing to balance talking vs playing given it can be such a spread of ability that watches! Thanks for watching and commenting.
