Love this. I could sense the nervous system. The slower i moved the more i could feel it. I have waking internal tremors. No doctor really knows whats causing them. Thank you for such an effective nerve reset. The part with the vagus nerve helped me a lot. I’ve been affected by some strange neurological symptoms for 6 weeks now- feels like internal tremors- Adrenalin not turning off. Everything I read points to anxiety but the physical symptoms are quite overwhelming. I’d love to know what else you could recommend for better vagus nerve tone. Again, thank you for such a helpful video. ❤
You can sit in a chair to practice many of these asanas. Or if able to stand, you can use the back of a hand for a Child’s Pose variation, or remain seated and use another chair in front of you for support. Hope that helps!
I love yoga and try and practice mindfulness and meditation also (though i could do it more consistently)- I read a bit about somatic therapy and the nervous system- I have some mental health issues and find it so hard to regulate. This did help slightly but during I just had these waves of intense emotions, and somewhat at the end I felt like bursting into tears but couldn’t. I guess I’m writing this for my own self as it seems to be helpful but- that doesn’t mean it doesn’t work for me? I’m aware maybe I have things built up and a couple tries of regulation won’t just fix how I’m feeling. I guess helplessness comes up for me, not much is soothing. I literally just have to wait it out
It sounded like what Cranial sacral does. It causes the body to release pent up emotions. That's a good thing. It should eventually help the nervous system to keep regulating.
I stopped ending yoga classes with the word “namaste” in 2020. For the many reason why, you might search for Susanna Barkataki’s namaste article online.
