@larryoutdoors Hi Larry 👋 No not at all Larry What happens is when u get a period where the weather is very bad & consistent for 7 days during Septemberto November & there's a swell of over o.8 to 1 metre in the bay at Kiama the larger pelagics come in the bay & down towards river openings & to rockfalls on the southern side ( every spot ) allways southern side & the barometer allso climes up . But the magic happens when all the bait fish in the bay hug the rockfalls because 1 the swell & current is to stro g for them & they get tiered so they go to find slack water on the edge of currents & rising rocks under the water, & the pelagics know this so when the conditions are like this which is maybee once every 3 springs! Not every year Larry. On these days you allso catch bigger kingfish then normal & salmon & Jewish & allso along the rocks the trevally & blackish & BREAM are allso larger then normal. That's why I sent you that messege, it's very rare & getting more rare with the way the climate is changing all around the world. I wish I could send photos , how do u do that on here? I stayed for 5 days camping there, I got home last night. Got 3 over 90 CM & 1 at 85cm & 2 at 74 CM respectively, bloody awsome , plenty of jewies at night but after 1st night getting Jewish I was too tiered to fish early next morning for the Tailor so I focused onlly on the greenbacks! I hope 1 day you get to experience it, I was shown this from 2 twins in there 70s , they were the original owners of Macs bait shop just before Tom uglys Bridge ( I used to work there as a teenagre) & I have allot to thank them for. In the 80s I was a kid maybee 14 & they showed me all the reefs in Georges River & the really good spots all in Botany & the River . Anyways God bless & happy fishing champ. Louis

Great spot. I will check it out later. I noticed you don't carry 8-9' long rods when you fish around the rocks. Why is that? Don't you find it harder with a shorter rod?
Yes mate, as you know, most spots I fishing are inside of harbour, so lighter and shorter fishing gears are more convenient for carrying and casting. Yes, you are right, longer rods would be better when landing the big fish, both have advantages and disadvantages, so it's your choice. I prefer lighter and shorter one . u know in LEBANON 🇱🇧 where I'm born they all use pole rods & float fishing along the shore ( break walls ) but from the age of 4 I remember my grandfather taking me fishing & I've been fishing ever since 😂
