Awesome fishing with you mate! Some monster perch! Bad luck that neither of us had a net :/ but an amazing job none the less with those fish! After you left there wasn’t much action, caught some bream and more plastics chewed by Leather jackets! Keen to see you out there fishing again!
Hey Mick, love your channel, great stuff. You need to get yourself a folding long handle landing net. Every time a fish gets dragged over the oysters and rocks onto the hot pavement its probably bad for the fish's survival after return. The other point is no fishos see it in a bad light that only puts pressure on our access around the harbour. If you can do that you can help get the soft release message to the others watching your channel. Look forward to your next vid.
As soon as you chucked in under the dark dock I thought you would get an EP. That's one of the main ways I get them. During summer most Harbour docks have EPs in the darkness. They like green plastics too.
That was so exciting and heart pumping watching the bream following that lure mate! By the way, i was looking at the daiwa td black range and found the model deepstriker suits me but it is a 3 section rod, i was just wondering that will the 3 section rod have less sensitivity than a 1 piece rod or there would be any other problems with a 3 piece rod
Topwater bream is so rewarding when you can manage to get one to commit, they've got to be one of the smartest fish in the sea haha. Great vid and love the surprise EP action. 👍🏿
To be honest I’ve done a lot of top water fishing and I noticed bream aren’t picky at all I use a 70mm popper and I noticed bream will hit the lure even if you just let it sit there you try do that with whiting and they will never touch it bream are definitely not the smartest fish in the sea 😂
Great video mate. Amazing you got some perch there. Got spot haven't fished there for a while must hit it again 😎. The perch are near rose bay a lot too
I have been loving the top water this season! Hooked up to some crackers just havn't netted them. awesome session mate. didn't think perch would be up in there haha
I'm starting to use lures similar to what you use. When I'm casting its not casting far at all. I'm assuming its my rod.Would it be the type of rod I have or hook I'm using?
Hey cheryl, What jighead are you using? And what lure are you casting? It could be your line rating, i use 6lb braid on a 1-3kg rod 7” or so if that helps. 8lb casts ok too but the higher in weight the more shorter the casting ability if you’re using light weighted jigheads
@@flickwithmick thanks for the advice. I'll play around with some line and jigheads. I use soft lures like z man bloodworm size 2.5, bait junkie grub 2.5. I cast with one of my rods and it's cast ok but then my other rod it's like not even 3 metres. Lol.
I also remember going to Darling Harbour with my ex girlfriend, and seeing heaps of bream around the pylons, and thinking, man I would love to fish here. But I can see they are quite street smart in your video, I think now. I would have no chance of catching them, because I see you are alot better fisherman then me.
Hey josh! The smaller size works well in regards to a realistic prawn imitation, and trebles being a bonus for hook up rate. Although they dont vibrate much, so i sort of work them like a plastic
That's insane mate! Ep's at woolies.. I can't even wrap my head around that!

Pleasure to meet you mate!

Awesome mate! Can’t get enough of top water hey!! It’s a dream to chase kingies off the surface one day, keep the videos coming legend. 🤙🏻
Did not know there would be perch in the harbour bro, great video as always 🔥👊🏼
Nice work mate, good patience. Normally the easier they are to see, the harder they are to catch!
Good vid, really enjoyed it. Thanks mate.
Thanks derek!!
Any surface fishing is great keep the videos coming mick brother
Thnks dwayne!

Ha Bro, another great video, I like the Daiwa rod you where using which one is it, it' look really responsive.
Present from Bali.

😂 classic comment from the peanut gallery, the professional bench warmer without the rod.
Unlucky mick keep it up that was a massive perch yewwww

Always brim around there I’m doing the upgrades on the navy base and always see them in there

Yo thanks for the content, ill be joining you all on the platform shortly 💪🏾
Thanks tony! Cant wait mate, u doing some fishing content?
Hey mate what is your rod and reel combo in this video?
This place always give me anxiety bro, so proud of ya! I’m always thinking what’d happen if kingies hit it again like the other day? 🙏🔥🔥🔥
Hahaha its a stressful place to fish, so much tight structure but thats where the thrill is i guess 😅
Might need a cpl filter for your go pro 🤔 to remove reflection
Thought you aren't allowed to fish there near the yachts there on the wharf
New subscriber man
Thanks for subbin bro!
@@flickwithmick no problem
Gotta come up your way some time this year for a fish.
More than welcome bro holla at me 👍
great job Mick shame you lost that nice black vibe it clearly works, keep up the great vlogs brother
Thanks john! Yeah seen it at the local tackle shop caught my eye, probably $12 mark and thought it should do some damage and it definitely did ay!
Abarth drive-by at 0:01........epic !!!!
😂😂😂
When is your birthday Mick? I think we should all chip and buy you a net!!!!! lol!
Hahah! I have one but you need a bloody telescopic one in that area so i dont bother 🤣
@@flickwithmick get an ISO net they are telescopic reach about 4/5meters 😎
where is this spot?
Spooky bream are one of the most frustrating aspects of fishing. How good is an EP surface take, they smash em.
They are frustrating as especially when sight casting at them 😡

Hey buddy if you use the chips 🍟 from Harry's they go nuts for them. Chips 🍟 is what people feed them
Topwater french fries 🍟 🤤
