This intake center is the former St Bridget's Church Owned Sill by Roman Catholic Church is on East 7th st and Ave B. Fights every day there and they are destroying Tompkins Sq Park. They leave there garbage all over the place. The majority are ungrateful. They are not migrants, they are illegal aliens . This is all by design to lower wages. Out of the 165,000 who arrived in NYC only 1.7 % of them have bothered to try and get work authorization. That 1 young guy tells real story Living in Roosevelt for 7 months and everything is free. There is no motivation to get a job.

@Starburns69 If they work, they have the legal documentation to work. But only as long as their work visas are active. If they overstay, that's when they're illegal. And unless they get another work visa, they're illegal. So, not all are illegal.

I have a friend who was an engineer from the University of Miami. She applied for two years in the lottery after her visa expired and wasnt allowed to stay any more. She stayed here illegally until her longtime boyfriend who was a US citizen married her. They make it impossible for the good people and easy for the leaches

A better question to ask these illegals is "What were you told and by whom about migrating to USA? What would you get when you crossed the border? How much did it cost you to get to the Mexican/USA border?" These questions would not be answered, I'm sure.

My old boss, from Greece, said that in the '50s and '60s and '70s people there would tell his parents that the streets were basically paved of gold ear, and that money was just free and everyone was rich. Now they're retiring in Greece. They ended up owning a pizza shop for 30 years and realized it's basically the same we just speak a different language. We need more immigrants, the kind who are well educated and have job skills to offer us. How many unskilled laborers can we take in?

Unbelievable. I came to this country about 40 yrs ago. It took me almost 9 yrs to get my citizenship and cost me over 10K with attorney fees. I worked so many different jobs just to survive. Got nothing for free, rented a basement and survived on just over 100 dollars a week from employment. At one time I was doing 3 jobs just to make it . Thanks for reporting the truth !

Yes my friend tried to do the same and got arrested in front of the Rosevelt hotel, as he was passing by there was a group of young Venezuelans that called him in Spanish is M.....N is very offensive but the auditor spoke Spanish he responded and the group began a fight with him. So even if he didn't initiated it no Venezuelan got arrested.

Being a retired attorney, I know exactly what goes on, at 11:47, the young man has teardrops tattooed on his face. Two of them. I have been to South America several times years ago the last in 1989. It was really bad but those teardrop tattoos are gang related the other tattoos on other individuals passing by are also gang related. The ones that have ears pierced is gang related and also related to drugs. I have seen in 50 years of law. I also lived in Houston for a while and worked there. They’re not afraid to tell you as well. THESE PEOPLE WERE NOT VETTED. In a familiar, city, there’s already gangs of migrants and close proximity to the downtown area. Also, they’re leaving New York in droves going to other parts of the country. This is exactly exactly what they wanna do. They’re making it very hard for them so they leave the city. Don’t worry, they will be in your backyard soon. I do have compassion for the real people seeking asylum, but some of these people should not be in this country at all.

I came here from Canada in 1992 to marry my wife. I worked as a heavy truck mechanic, a farm worker and delivered newspapers until after dark. I was actually weeping with pride and gratefulness when I finally took the oath to become a citizen. I truly believe that the American Dream is something that is EARNED and not demanded by people that push their way into this great nation.

Free to wander anywhere, some working in car wash places. Many arrive by sea, in rubber dinghies across the channel from France and once off the beach are ‘rescued’, picked up by British lifeboats and Border Force vessels. Taken to Dover, onto buses and away to hotels around the country. If they’re not housed in London they complain about the place, the food, the locals.
A few brave souls go to interview them for YT and are met with threats, violence and aggression. The Mayor of. @cherylsmith4826 I know someone who worked for someone who owns, well owned, a hotel that NY bought from him. He was just some schmuck who got lucky. NY needed space quickly and was willing to pay top dollar to get it quickly. Right place, right time.

It's probably just a mess in a way similar to the other shelter the kid went to that they were going to throw him out of. The administration also may not want New Yorkers to see these immigrants lounging about in surroundings far nicer than many of them live in.

I know people are suffering, the US can't financially support more than one million immigrants a year. This is like a slap in the face to people who came in legally. Sad that we have veterans living on the streets and illegals are being housed, feed, free medical and free phones. I know people who came in legally, it took years, money, lots of paperwork and classes to attend to be a citizen.
I see them here in the big box stores with two carts full of food, taking selfies in front of the carts all smiles. I saw one with a two hundred dollar speaker in a cart. They are all speaking Spanish to each other, groups of them in the aisles and we are just looking at them in disbelief as they pay with government cards.

When my family came into the US in the 1940s legally, they had to have a wealthy US citizen sponsor them. The process was long and expensive. The US sponsor had to prove their wealth with bank statements and had to sign an affidavit that the immigrants would NOT become a financial burden to the US. The firm also had to say that the sponsor would only provide sponsorship for only ONE immigrant family. I have all the documentation. What has happened to our country?? The government is lawless.

Let’s see if this November If NYC turns Red then the people spoke. If blue still wins in a landslide then NYC residents deserve all this mess and should not complain. Can’t say nothing about the rest of the state as most of the state are red but NYC is soo strong that it influence the outcome of an election to the rest of NY state. Just look at last year Governor race. Mostly of the state votes red but NYC heavily votes blue and that weight cause the blue side to win.
