Love how host was made, since it was done during the pandemic all the actors had to do there own stunts. They had to mic there computers and make there own props. The editor for this movie whent through hours of lines and takes for this film, the guy who was set on fire had to do that himself in his back yard. A lot went into this movie and i deeply respect it because of that.

I think the part where the actors essentially made the sets is cool especially because this concept has been done before in a very similar manner in the movie Unfriended I think they did a good job setting HOST apart from that movie and not making it too similar while keeping the same online chat horror vibe pipeline.

I love that this movie was ACTUALLY done pretty much fully on zoom. It was shot and released in the pandemic and so it has zoom as a plot device but it was genuinely shot that way!! That’s why it feels so authentic

I highly recommend watching dead meat’s kill count on this movie. It goes a lot into how the movie was made during the pandemic. The actors had to be their own make up, lighting, and camera crew.
