Everyone wastes their 20s. Or we all think we do. But later on we realize we were learning about ourselves, trying things trial and error, making lots of mistakes and things end up being ok. My favorite age was 31-35. I always tell young people in their 20s that. They always seem kinda down on themselves if they feel like they haven't accomplished alot. They have time. Life's such a gift!
Gabe, you did not waste your 20ies! You are able to be at home with your family and to work if and when you want! You made a dream come true, so your 20ies are very well invested! 😊
Do hard things is something I realized recently as well. I tried just doing things I want and enjoy because I was feeling off and it didn't change anything, but making myself do hard things again got me out of the rut more than the indulgence ever did.
I am 56 and extremely impressed with you and your accomplishments!! Watching you and learning from you at my age is beyond exciting. It’s never too late. I have learned a lot from you and love your videos. Appreciate your time and keep the videos coming!! Thank you! So wise beyond your years!! What phone do you have and what case is on it?
I'm 29 and we also lost a child like that. Thanks for sharing Gabe. I know we are not alone, but hearing someone else talk about it makes it a little easier to bear.
I like the "there's no good or bad things" statement. For my life I say something similar. I say try to find the good in the bad. I found it helped me be more happy.
We took our first ski trip to Switzerland about 6 years ago and I haven't been the same since. That country is absolute perfection and it completely reset my perspective on what it is to "live well". Have a wonderful time!
I’m 29 I don’t have a girlfriend/wife, or kids, I am I debt and it’s so hard to move on, I pray everyday to be able to gave freedom someday and be financially freed from my debts. I really need freedom, I’ve been stuck in this issue for so long and I’m doing my best I hope one day God will bless me and work up a miracle for me because it’s gonna get worst as you get older
I’m 29 right now about to be 30 in march. I’m definitely in a transition and reflection mode. Everything I went through made me who I am. But instead of depending on others and putting other people before myself, I’m taking everything I learned and stabilizing myself and my future family.
Thank you for acknowledging that phones are more nuanced than "you shouldn't use them at all"! My phone and listening to music or a UA-cam video helps me to get through boring tasks I would otherwise completely neglect, such as organising and tidying. It also helps with learning languages. You can't talk to a book. Yes, it's bad to do nothing but scrolling on social media, but that's not all a phone is used for.
Worrying too much about what others think of you, I felt that. It definitely holds me back. I’ve been wanting to start UA-cam but worried about the judgement and I have zero editing skills lol 😂 Also I love that you are embracing the grays! Nothing wrong with that!
Gabe I think you have so much wisdom at a young age. I enjoy your videos very much! This one is exceptional and much needed… thank you for sharing with us ❤
Hi Gabe Excellent video Thanks for opening up Your still handsome by the way lol You help so many people with your channel Maybe you don't realise your true worth fully Don't be so hard on your self No such thing as perfectionism Your doing the best you can A beautiful wife and kids Maybe there is a hotel in Switzerland that is just as nice but not near the price you mentioned Life's all about compromise Also I do believe everything in life is timing and synchronicity Thanks for mentioning the calm app had forgot that exists You are also right you do have to put in the work and leave your comfort zone sometimes I think so many of us suffer unnecessarily in life because we fear change and don't take the chances we should Wishing you all the best Stay positive x
Good things come out of bad things happening to us because we make good things. We learn and make good things happen. Actively. Thank you for sharing, you have a great channel.
I got 2 boys, and honestly I can't wait to show this video for them when they will be a bit older. It's just so well made, calm, still it gives valuable lessons. Nice one Gabe, been a long time subscriber, but this one somehow hit differently. 😉
I hope a trend of TLDR catches up and any video that begins always starts with a quick summary and timestamps either in the description or a comment section because I'm not wasting my time listening to Video than is a minute or longer
So , so much need in the trisomy community. So, so much. And the most wonderful families. If you are ever at a place to do it, lean in a little, and take a peek to spread your gifts and experiences there; I guarantee these families and kids will touch your souls deeply for life.
Like, for real, picture the powerful experience of being in a room full of people whose lives have been touched by their trisomy child as much as your’s has. It’s is a soul touching room of people and kids like no other.
I love that you spoke on being honest about what level of effort we are willing to put in to obtain a certain life. I faced that decades ago, and have had a much better life than I would have if I had tried to force myself into mainstream conformity. ☕️
i would love to meet you one day brotha, i am 24 years old i have seen all your videos since 2022, your a wise man. you changed my life, i always look forward seeing your videos.
I'm 50 years old. In the last 8 years: I lost 40 lbs with food balancing. Quit meat, fish and dairy products. Stopped drinking during the week and considerably less in the weekends. Quit smoking. Got psychological support for depression and anxiety. I got aware I have a few honest friendships. Reestablished my relationship with my parents. Got rid of toxic relationships. Changed jobs from help desk to 3D modeling. Improved my German, French and Spanish languages with courses. Started Traditional Manderin Chinese, Learned to write my own music. Bought a guitar and piano and learning to play them. Love to take hikes in the countryside. I honestly think I am living the life. It took a long time and it didn't go smoothly, but now I'm reasonably happy where I am.
4:30 - Hard Disagree here. People show constantly that they judge people by their appearances...at least initially at first. It might be something easy to get passed with some interaction, but you literally said seconds later that you didn't get the same respect when you looked a certain way lol. Would they care if your hair is grey? No. Would they care if your beard is grown out? No. Would they care if you looked like gandalf and had random shaved bald spots in your hair? Maybe a little.
❤ this video! I’m 46-eventually my husband and I found growth and goodness through a painful second trimester miscarriage. In time, I pray God reveals that to you and your wife as well. Much love to your family.❤
Change the title, this is good advice for everyone, sometimes it takes time to realise this. I also discovered that around 29, now I'm 33, but it's good to be reminded, and I don't think everyone my age is chasing the right things.
Thank you for sharing your family's miscarriage story. I also clung to scripture after I experienced that, mine was from Job. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh, blessed be the name of the Lord. Every time I hear someone else has been through it, although it is sad, it helps me to know I'm not alone. So thank you and bless your family!
Miscarraige is awful, but if you get to Heaven, you get to spend eternity with your child. Nothing more motivating than that to strengthen your faith. ❤
Try some dryer lint to get that 🔥 going. And my husband always wondered what the point was of big houses with no one home. When you're poor you also are not always home with work.
“At 29 you’d think I’d know better, living like a kid. When my lies may seem less than clever is when I fall for it. Only time will tell if wishing wells will bring us anything. Or fade like scenes from childhood dreams, forgotten memories”. Gin Blossoms 1992
I’m also 29, about to be 30 in a few months and I’m so ready to take on my 30s. I feel like I’m finally mentally, physically, & financially in a happy place. 25-29 has been grinding/working to be where I want to be and now I’m ready to expand and grow from there. I’m ready to be the smartest, fittest, wealthiest version of myself in my 30s!
You don't look "old" at all! But I genuinely thought you were turning 39 or 40, like you were one of those who are 40 and look 30! I'm 29 too. Love your channel!
I agree with most of this but there were a couple of things I disagreed with, mainly: 14:25 I disagree with this because while it's good to take ownership of the stuff you have control over, there are a lot of things we don't in fact have control over. Sometimes we can do everything right but that doesn't guarantee everything will go our way. And I think it can create an unhealthy mindset if you blame yourself for everything. It can lead people to thinking they're not good enough when something goes wrong even if it's for reasons beyond their control. 18:12 Not true there are people who impact many people who don't make a lot of money. Also, just because you don't have a front-facing job, that doesn't mean you aren't still impacting lots of people. To use your janitor example, just think what would happen to those offices if no one was ever there to clean it. What janitors do definitely DOES impact everyone who enters that building. Other people are only able to do their jobs BECAUSE of people who keep things clean and in operation behind the scenes.
Social media people do not live in the real world. Saying no one cares about your appearance is such a disingenuous statement otherwise the makeup and hair industry would not be as big as it is.
Yeah but it's those companies who told us we need to care about our appearance so they could sell their products. It's all a scam and hes right... Noone thinks of anyone else for more than a minute in that way
I like that you are giving thought to your life. But here is a fair warning, you are very young, what you think now will probably change drastically by the time you are 60. I am a baby boomer. We thought it was polite to be well kept. But I see slob is the style, I do hope it changes. You are a handsome young man. Yes, people do care how you keep yourself…at least we seniors do.

Thank you for this, this really lifted weight off my shoulders 😊
29? Bro I thought you were 30+. Hella wise for a 29 y/o. Keep crushing it man!
he looks really old for 29

Some advice on "getting rid of bad habits", sir.
I am addicted to certain habits that are destroying my life. I was introduced to some friends 9 years ago who drowned me to the worst. And I got addicted to some bad habits. Yet, 9 years later I am still addicted to them.
Thank you for not finishing the plane analogy 😂
