Sold from 2008 on in the UK as Accord Touring but trying to find a petrol 2.4 manual 6-speed is now difficult. Many were diesel automatics which ended up in the hands of private hire cab owners. 300k on the clock is not uncommon. 76K on my blue `11 wagon - debadged the "TSX" off the back, which still catches attention ("Acura makes a station wagon??"). I have a pesky parasitic current draw issue and had some recurring problems with the Bluetooth hardware (which is a known issue with its Broadcom chipset and static electricity). Just spent a month in the snow on Mount Hood with 'new' (to me) Blizzak tires mounted on 16" Acura rims (which just clear the brakes!). Drove it 700 miles to California and got ~33 MPG (including over passes and through storms). Absolutely LOVE this car (as did my late wife, who frequently preferred it over her Kia, and my late mother who I originally bought it for). My first car was a `91 Integra GS with 344K miles on it when my friend got drunk and totaled it. Despite mechanical wear and tear from many winters in Boston, oil changes were easy and the engine still purred like a kitten, three timing chains later, so I figured this car would be reliable - what I didn't count on, though, was the Japanese propensity to copy German engineering, and sure enough, the complex CAN-based electronics have been hard to troubleshoot. (Previous car was '01 Audi S4 Avant, which was a blast to drive but ultimately WAY more trouble than it was worth). #AmericaNeedsMoreWagons! 😎
Oh, comparing the TSX to the Audi in the snow. Quattro has a clear advantage over FWD when getting unstuck after hours on the mountain, unquestionably - the Acura simply requires more snow-shovel time (and sometimes traction straps). The S4 had massive brakes, which even its 17" wheels barely cleared, so I had to run wide, low profile snow tires... which are terrible in the snow! The back end of that wagon would come loose frequently, requiring ESP to correct (it's kinda startling when it kicks on). Overall I can drive snowy roads with more confidence in the Acura, ironically, with the 205/60/16s, swapping back to 225/45/17s for better dry pavement handling.
I was looking for one about 2 years ago. My 2011 Civic got caught in a flood. Only one that wasn’t clapped out was over in CT for about $28K with taxes & 40k miles. I went & got the sedan with 38K miles instead in PA
I had the 2011 TSX I loved this car, road like a cloud sporty clean comfy and unique I miss it so much I only sold it after my bf was murdered and was scared to be in it because of how unique it was I now have an MDX and I'll never own anything else ever again other than an Acura I'd love to see this car be redesigned and come back out!!
from South Africa, here they are called Honda accords\ Tourer. Also here they do come in 2011 2.4L Manual transmissions. Automatics are more arround, but there is Manuals as well.
I wish we got the wagon in manual. I have a 2010 TSX sedan with a manual (and tech package which gives the ELS system, Navigation, and rear camera) and it's fun enough to drive, but like you said it's slow. Also interesting how you say the seats and ride is stiff. My TSX feels plush compared to the ride in my E63S, seats included. Even with Nappa leather, the E63S has much firmer seats than my TSX does. I agree, the TSX sportwagon is one of the better looking wagons in my opinion. Some can definitely look like a hearse, but Honda got it right with the proportions and rear end
Thank you for making a wonderful informative video! Wish I had this for reference before buying mines. I bought my ‘14 sport wagon last October with 97k miles, overpaid but im happy with my purchase. I’m thoroughly enjoying the car in its stock form and plan to mod mines without sacrificing the comfort and functionality.
They should have at least optioned it with the 6 speed manual.... I had a 2010 TSX manual as well. Lovely driving car. I would have loved to own the wagon with the 6mt.
@@MeynMotorGroup The paddle shifters on my wagon in sport mode are well matched to the 5 speed transmission along with the very smooth 4 cylinder engine....fun for engine braking too.
@@brichpmr lol 😂. Your playing yourself guy. I have a big ass 3.5 lexus es350 and it's so wack having an automatic. Unless you have a pdk transmission with paddles then you should definitely want the manual. I get so bored with my auto even if it's fast.
I agree this is one of the better looking modern wagons. The first gen Mazda 6 wagon, Ford Mondeo wagon and Dodge Magnum/300 Estate are some of my favorites. This car likely would've sold much better with a J30 or J35 in it. A K24 simply wasn't enough power for a relatively heavy car with "luxury" branding and pricing.
Acutally yes you’re right I do like the Mazda 6 Wagon and I guess since we’re on the topic fine I do think the Audi RS6 and Porsche Taycan wagons are pretty hot 😅 but yes this TSX Wagon really needed that V6 would have been excellent with that engine
Other car brands had a four cylinder that was bigger than 2.4 liters. For example, Nissan had a 2.5 liter qr25de. Toyota had both a 2.5 2arfe and 2.7 1arfe. Honda never bothered to make a k25 or k27; They just stopped at k24 from the early 2000s.
Thanks for an informative video. We bought a 2011 TSX Sport Wagon in mid 2022. It's the Tech package, and i was surprised how much I like the power rear hatch. The sound system is as strong as I'd need, after adding an aftermarket Bluetooth input. This is an all around excellent near luxury/ near sporty daily driver car for us. The K-series is plenty of power, though I do agree the manual 6 speed would have been great if offered. We were also looking at the Acura RDX SUV, newer years. I had a guy watching out at the dealer auctions for a Sport Wagon, and I'm glad he came through. Low miles, and you could just tell that this car has been loved and cared for, with just a few tasteful refined mods. I felt it was a bargain especially compared with SUVs. I've only ever seen two others - might just get another one, if available.
I drove my 2011 blue TSX wagon for 12 years until daughter took it to college this fall. I miss both of them. We get lots of compliments on the looks of it, especially from Gen Z age.
I agree with this video, especially regarding the insufficient horsepower. He is not asking for a European engine, but he simply states that it was a missed opportunity to become a better contender in its class just by offering the same very capable six cylinder engine with AWD which was already being offered in the TSX sedans. This car could have greatly benefited from increased horse power because wagons are excepted to haul more weight, not to mention its own weight of almost 4000 lbs., I believe. I also agree with some reviews that it can do without all the changes if you are budget conscience and prefer reliability over performance. One can be more than satisfied with this car than its European competitors who fail miserly in the reliability and affordability of the maintenance if the high performance is a secondary demand. Unfortunately this car remains to be a city dwelling, errand running grocery getter rather than having the opportunity to offer a fine touring engine capable of going cross-country without blowing a gasket trying to get it up to the speed. My wife and I along with my son and Pitbull have owned 2014 TSX wagon with Tech package. It has been a very reliable, practical, and nifty family car with fully loaded with convenience features as offered in its Euro competitors minus the performance features such as Six cylinder or turbo powered engine, Stick-shift or higher gears and especially the AWD system which is crucial in severe weather and bumpy roads. It is now at 130000+ being used by our now 30 year old son. We are currently looking for a comparable replacement such as Subaru outback or Audi Avant or All road- because they are half the price of TSX Wagons in the used car market. This video and commentaries are very accurate and fair. Like he says the car is what it is. It offers a lot more than many others out there regardless of its performance shortcomings, but most importantly the peace of mind that even if it breaks down, it won't break the bank although I am still paying the installments from the catalic convertor replacement, engine mount service, wheel bearing arm replacements total of $3000 to PEPBOYS Los Angeles. Just for reference: I have previously owned trouble free 1992 and 1995 Acura Integra, as well as, 2002 Audi A4 Avant wagon AWD stick shift and 2004 Audi A4 sedan with hefty maintenance expenses.
So this footage is only available to journalists for illustrative purposes, it’s tough because with most of these older cars, they just delete the old footage since manufacturers don’t care about used cars or used car sales they just keep the new car footage up 😅
I bought my 2013 new and stiil have it. I loved the looks of it. I would have bought one with a V6 if they ever had them. I got the tech package ...one problem I had was the battery. The battery it comes with just can't handle all the electronics like the ELS sound system. I had them install the Acura remote starter but the car battery just didn't have enough juice. So I changed it out with a larger one. Last year I noticed the passenger window pillar leaking water. That cost me 800$ to fix. Now I'm noticing on cold mornings the tech screen will come up with colored lines through it. If I restart the car the screen seems to come back. Anyone experience that? What has to be replaced? Oh I only have 56k on it. The first 4 or 5 years I owned it I had people all the time wanting to buy it. Even now people come up to me saying things like "what a nice car never knew acura sold them"
Have/like a 2013 with navigation, white. Found it on the www two years ago at a Toyota dealership with 26,000 miles on it in like new condition. Was one owner dealer serviced. I was looking for one knowing Suits me good with being a out door enthusiast to carry all my gear. Could definitely use more power. Me Coming from a Acura TL, gsr, Integra other Acuras. Each I've owned for many years put hundred's of thousands of miles on. The tsx wagon performance, build quality is definitely not as good. But.... Me at 59 years old no worries. To make this car a little more perfect ...for me. Upgrade The performance six cylinder or turbo, upgrade build quality to like ride of my TL type s ,all wheel drive along with better bass from sound system.
Im considering one of these for my next daily. Currently drive a 2015 Golf R, but I need more space as the gf and I want to start a family but I'll be damned if I drive an SUV. It just needs more power for my liking, so maybe a supercharger kit or j swap?
Lol funny that I'm seeing this video now I didn't even know a wagon version of that car existed til like 2 weeks ago. I live in Canada we only got the sedan version up here. I saw one driving around my city the other day I was trying to figure out what car it was and I recognized the front of it. I didn't get to see the license plate but I figured it was from the US after I did a quick Google search and saw the wagon was only sold in the US
So your telling me you can’t make this car go fast ??? I’m trying to buy a car and I’m looking at a wagon 2012 and I like it but I also what to make some changes for a little boost .
Acura: we suspect the TSX wagon buyer will be an older gentleman, married, with children, or someone with an active lifestyle like a cyclist or a cross country camping enthusiast. 11 years later: Me a younger male, single, no children, somewhat of an active lifestyle style. Also me: slammed his 2011 TSX to the floor and goes to car show😂 The reaction I get from people in my wagon is so cool, a lot of people have never seen a TSX wagon in person and some didn’t even know they existed, I’m just happy to show people my rare gem.
I really don’t understand why manufacturers gravitate to the sport models, like the Lexus F sport, it’s completely useless in everyday driving, you can’t sport around on congested roads and it make the ride harsher. I personally want the luxury aspect of these vehicles.
I'm in the market for a pickup truck.. but if I can find a '13 in good condition, I'd jump all over it. These are so unique with a slight drop and wheels.
Speaking of pick up trucks I will finally be getting some press cars since it’s the new years. Getting a Tundra and Tacoma TRD Pro versions in the near future but this week will be a 2023 Lexus NX 350 F sport
@@MeynMotorGroup if your going to review trucks then you should review the chevy gmt800 chassis trucks and suvs. I had a suburban and it's literally one of the best vehicles on the road hands down. No wonder it's the longest running nameplate for a car all time.
apparently no Audi A3 this week getting a 2023 Lexus NX 350 F sport instead and next week should be getting the Tacoma TRD Pro def looking forward to that one 👍
This is why they don't bring wagon anymore to the U.S, because Americans rather buy a mediocre horrible looking crossover than a wagon. EU on top for having better taste.
Yea people go on and on about wagons but never buy it. I can’t take these “enthusiasts” seriously. Audi brought the RS6 Avant here and I’ve never seen one on the road. I’ve never seen a shooting brake car out on the road. People just run their mouths but not their wallets, I want these hypocrites to put this stuff on their driveway if they say they love it so much.

Best sport wagon design are the Dodge Magnum and the Caddy CTS wagons.
I have not seen one on the road anywhere. None in Indiana..I would have bought one but bought Reg sedan 09
Ive seen 4 on the road this month, makes me want one
Thank you for making a wonderful informative video! Wish I had this for reference before buying mines. I bought my ‘14 sport wagon last October with 97k miles, overpaid but im happy with my purchase. I’m thoroughly enjoying the car in its stock form and plan to mod mines without sacrificing the comfort and functionality.
Thanks for sharing!
They should have at least optioned it with the 6 speed manual.... I had a 2010 TSX manual as well. Lovely driving car. I would have loved to own the wagon with the 6mt.
So true
Yeah I think that's what killed it.
Congrats my friend!
I drove my 2011 blue TSX wagon for 12 years until daughter took it to college this fall. I miss both of them.
We get lots of compliments on the looks of it, especially from Gen Z age.
Some of the most methodical and intelligent people I know drive Acura’s. One a ‘12 TL and the other a ‘20 MDX.
So true!
I have a tsx wagon and I’m a fucking idiot
@@jmarchese1149 I’m talking about original owners lol
Great video 👍
I detailed a lot of them in Naples FL! The nice car fun to drive I had a 2012 tsx sedan!
I was considering this but no stick model or V6 are a bummer. I'm looking to upgrade to something larger that's not a truck or SUV from my EP3.
Has anyone had their wagon throw a power steering error sign? How have you gotten it fixed? We have replaced the power steering but still there.
Im in the process of getting one of these but they are hard to find..
I have a 13 tsx sedan. Love the car and will be getting the tsx wagon. They are popping up for sale
Update I now have a 2012 wagon lol
Had a 2013and loved it, I wish I never sold it. Looking for a 13 or 14
I agree with this video, especially regarding the insufficient horsepower.
I love my Tsx
The k24 is good. Its the 5 speed autos long gears that hold it back. The 6 speed manual gearing is much steeper.
Where do you get all the footage from I want to be as professional as you when I grow up
So this footage is only available to journalists for illustrative purposes, it’s tough because with most of these older cars, they just delete the old footage since manufacturers don’t care about used cars or used car sales they just keep the new car footage up 😅
Good Touring (Wagon) appreciate size. Reminds me of the BMW E39 touring. It needed two engine and transmission choices.
Even now people come up to me saying things like "what a nice car never knew acura sold them"
I thought they should have put the K23 turbo engine from the first gen RDX in the TSX it would have been a rocket
Looks like a Saab if you look closely, I just passed one the other day. They look cool!
I can kind of see that!
Thanks for sharing!
Im considering one of these for my next daily. Currently drive a 2015 Golf R, but I need more space as the gf and I want to start a family but I'll be damned if I drive an SUV. It just needs more power for my liking, so maybe a supercharger kit or j swap?
I own a 2012 sedan 3.5 v6 and I love it 💪
Nice!
any oil problems at all ? I heard the v6 engines did not encounter any
@@Byron23_I have not had any problems with the oil.
Lol funny that I'm seeing this video now I didn't even know a wagon version of that car existed til like 2 weeks ago. I live in Canada we only got the sedan version up here. I saw one driving around my city the other day I was trying to figure out what car it was and I recognized the front of it. I didn't get to see the license plate but I figured it was from the US after I did a quick Google search and saw the wagon was only sold in the US
Can anyone tell me what a 626 LMR GT wagon is needing information badly it beat my z06 by 2 cars a buddy of mine is trying to pay me with this car???
Mileage - 24mpg city / 30mpg highway?
So your telling me you can’t make this car go fast ??? I’m trying to buy a car and I’m looking at a wagon 2012 and I like it but I also what to make some changes for a little boost .
Just save the trouble and buy a faster car
Nice looking ride I prefer over suv
They SHOUDLVE gave it a better engine
Should have came with the v6
@@MeynMotorGroup V6 would have been awesome, although a somewhat heavier front end.
when we getting the rsx and rsx type s video
I’ll see what I can do that was actually one of my most favorite cars growing especially in silver
Acura: we suspect the TSX wagon buyer will be an older gentleman, married, with children, or someone with an active lifestyle like a cyclist or a cross country camping enthusiast.
11 years later: Me a younger male, single, no children, somewhat of an active lifestyle style.
Also me: slammed his 2011 TSX to the floor and goes to car show😂
The reaction I get from people in my wagon is so cool, a lot of people have never seen a TSX wagon in person and some didn’t even know they existed, I’m just happy to show people my rare gem.
They were referring to a new TSX customer when they were $35k

I really don’t understand why manufacturers gravitate to the sport models, like the Lexus F sport, it’s completely useless in everyday driving, you can’t sport around on congested roads and it make the ride harsher. I personally want the luxury aspect of these vehicles.
Oh that’s because some people actually like to drive it’s something that people like myself find pleasure in. Hence why supercars exist
Three letters...BMW.
A hearse on wheels, fancy that 🤔🤣
I'm in the market for a pickup truck.. but if I can find a '13 in good condition, I'd jump all over it. These are so unique with a slight drop and wheels.

Acura expected wagon sales to increase by 40% in the states over the course of this vehicle’s life 😂 a company could not have been more wrong
I wish I had bought one in 2016. I still don't like the nose on them and worried about the transmission.
But a hearse does have wheels 🤷
The transmission is weak and 3.5 liter burns oil

apparently no Audi A3 this week getting a 2023 Lexus NX 350 F sport instead and next week should be getting the Tacoma TRD Pro def looking forward to that one 👍
@@MeynMotorGroup Looking forward to em!
Boost it
This is why they don't bring wagon anymore to the U.S, because Americans rather buy a mediocre horrible looking crossover than a wagon.
