I used to practically live at Alyeska in the 2010s. You hit my favorite stuff, almost in the same lines I used to take! You made my day! Go farther out on the High T, but before the shadows over yo Tanaka. You’ll come down into a natural corkscrew, that spits out near the cabbage patch.
Glad you could relive the moment! That day they hadn’t opened high t quite that far but the run you described is one of my favorites as well. I have more footage of high traverse on the video following this one if you want to check it out!
Hi from le Grand Bornand ski resort ! in France in the Alps the snow has disappeared below 2000m altitude since 1988 it has been decreasing ↘️❄↘️. The snow cannons no longer work because of the heat, this is catastrophic for us because skiing in France is almost over...Tks for vidéo. .Martial a French ski operator ! Salut, Merci ❄☃️❄
That is really too bad, I hope you get extra snow this winter! I hope to ski in France some day before the snow is all gone. Merci pour le commentaire!
Overall this resort is more challenging than many others I’ve skied. A big reason that people come is to ski the open, high alpine terrain but all lifts that take you to these zones do not have any beginner friendly trails. The one place beginners can feel at home is at the lower mountain pod accessed by the Bear Cub Quad Lift or by lapping Chair 7. If you are an intermediate to expert you will love it here. Thanks for the comment!
Nice rip! This takes me back, I haven't rode Alyeska in years!

That’s awesome! A good time to go too. With our snow year so far, most outer areas will probably be open by then. Have fun!
