Funny thing? He went to Italy and tried to speak Spanish.
A-? No, I want to be like the teacher in The Christmas Story and write A+++++ across the chalkboard! lol
disney would never have given x-men 97 the budget to make more episodes to flesh out the stories, but the flp-side of the execs not caring about anime, is probably that they interfered less, but now thats it blown up in popularity theyll problem ruin it with all their corporate input
❤❤
I loved how Jean got a chance to show her fighting skills without fainting and actually see Sinister fight! Great scene!
Yeah, totally... Sinister looked like a cardboard cutout in the old Saban series 😂 now he's been masterfully animated.
I'm glad Mike said it. These writers were smart and didn't assume they'd get another season so they're doing everything they want to do NOW.
It's kind of funny that the original X-men animated series saved Marvel from going bankrupt back in the 90's when they were selling the rights of their characters to other companies.
Yea that sucks now Disney can’t have marvel theme rides at their theme parks thanx to universal
@@CarolCityCane305 yea but when the superhero area first came out in universal it was fecking epic
those classic X-Men just have that omega level cool factor no other comic family has maybe besides the justice league but also debatable. those classic X-Men just make you wanna draw immediately and thats beyond special and nothing past the 2000s does in marvel.
The use of generative ai is loudy lazy and downtight despicable. Reporting snd blocking this channel
@@CarolCityCane305 It's not Universal's fault. They were smart.
Vaporized in his "TINY" skull.
You gotta remember the keyword TINY -- cause that's what really makes me feel saddest. Leech was so small. A child. Magneto saw himself in that child.
I could see it being that a young Magnus was told the same thing by a grown up, maybe a family member, while in the camps
I really hope the MCU takes notes on how to do the X-Men justice in live action.
Before them
Whoever made the fox movies should watch them to know how it should have been
But I also want to appreciate that live action is not the pinnacle. I would love a new X-Men live action film, but animation is so freeing.
@@HeyDrGamer, I totally agree with you. You can do so much with animation that live-action couldn't begin to do. Here's to hoping we get the best of both worlds.
@@AbhishekKr.Singh1609@AbhishekKr.Singh1609, Bryan Singer did the live-action movies, and I believe it was said he didn't like the comics or that he didn't want any comics on set.
They won't
Magneto has always been waiting for Logan to make him do it that itch has finally been scratched.
"that itch has finally been scratched" What a way to phrase that. XD
I disagree but your comment is so top tier I couldn't just scroll past it. Magneto loves his people just as much as the Professor he's just been through so much for things that are no fault of his own. Logan just said the wrong thing at the worst time. The promise he made to Leech and seeing him die the way he did just pushed him to a point of no return.
I think he did a little more than scratch him, bub 🔪
Nice retort
@@Unknown_-bt8uv i partially agree but sorry logan has been through a least a century of more shit than Magneto has. This was always the route magneto always intended to go down from the beginning.
BEAU DEMAYO ,and his crew deserve their flower they did phenomenal job with season 1 can't wait for next season.

I’m throwing it out there, Rogue is gonna turn on Magneto after what happened to Wolverine, so she absorbs Xavier’s powers doing the lobotomy on Magneto, so Onslaught has Rogue’s powers and trauma as well. This would also explain how Onslaught’s able to take powers.
Holy shit, you're right. They even explicitly remind the audience that Rogue can extract a persons skills and memories when she takes over for the Doctor in ep 2. Rogue is not about to lose the Other man in her life, so she absorbs Magneto's memories, abilities and identity... and then Xaviers as well? Because she is also a threat to him? And thats how we get to Onslaught? Looking forward to finding out :)
Why wouldn’t she just absorb magnetos powers then? It seems convoluted to absorb Xavier’s to control magneto.
Also remember the way Franklin Richards saved his parents (and Earth's other heroes) at the defeat of Onslaught. Could be an explanation why we have an MCU (emphasis on the U) devoid of mutants up until now. Like you, I'm throwing it out there.
@@ThisGuy_Againshe can’t absorb Maguns’ powers. That’s why/how they ‘got together.’
@@ThisGuy_Againbecause she can't touch Magneto
Normally people complain about stories moving too slow and filler complaints bc the story isn't fast enough. What show actually hits the right pace if not this one?
not this one, this one is way too fast. I liked TAS better in terms of pacing but even it was fast.
@@marhawkman303 the pacing works in this show, I feel, because everything hits. Every episode, nothing is wasted. I can't think of the last time I felt like that about a show or movie. I just find it interesting that most of the time if a show isn't moving at a "crisp pace" we know how it will get dragged.
@@taylormadealpha well, it feels like it's a bit over simplified in terms of making sense. i know a bunch of stuff rom the comics, but if I didn't.... I'm not sure I'd be able to follow certain things.
The pacing is fast but not too fast that it gets boring or running in circles. Ryan being a cry baby.
Saving the MCU but they Fired the writer and director QUICK!
maybe it was a legal necessity lol

Give the man his job back.
I am on the exact opposite side-- I absolutely LOVE that they're rushing it. It feels like a full course meal every week! It's more filling than half an hour than most blockbusters in two! I love that I am on my toes for every second, that everything is important and nothing feels wasted.
The worst episode by far was Jubilee just playing a video game because I felt like we were wasting precious minutes of a FULL story
Appreciate Mike hitting the nail on the head. They've been working on this show for a while now. Asking them to stretch out storylines for a show that has been under a microscope before it was even released, especially when every other Marvel project is getting picked apart, is being way too fickle and knitpicky.
I just hope Kevin Fiege, who is also an executive producer, takes notes from show and uses this as the standard of quality for the live action movies going forward.
"I don't need game. I just had to play once and got lucky." YES. I am stealing this.
I think you guys haven’t noticed what they say about time in the show. It’s been over a year since Xavier departed at the beginning of the show. Time has moved differently than our time which has been week to week. In one episode to the next, one month had gone by when Pryor left and when Jean caught them talking to each other. Some things have to be condensed for a show.
Plus it'd be a bit convoluted directly adapting story lines from the comics. Plus they add bits to the main story line from different things to be engaging. Like Logan stabbing Magneto and subsequently losing the metal coating his bones. Fatal attraction story line.
Facts the storylines that they’re rushing I don’t even mind like life death for example I do not need a whole season trying to see storm get her powers back or her developing relationship with forge. I’m fine with the mini arc. Yes it’s quick but they are handling it so well but I would love a 3 part episode of Logan getting his adamantium back just because I find that storyline from the comics a whole lot more interesting.
That doesn't take away that the story telling is rushed. Some parts felt like it's just a montage of every good bits in the comics. The show is still good, but hope the story lines are fleshed out better on the next seasons.
Yeah idk why that's so hard for them to figure out. They put out quality content but sometimes it's like are you really comprehending what you're watching lol? They said Magneto was a good guy for a week or two until Genosha lol. They did the same with Loki and Kang being killed by ants is the worst. All Kang variants aren't created equally but he went out with more dignity than Thanos who was invincible with the gauntlet but when you snap your fingers wearing the it it kills you smh
@teelotus3326 facts because like they said in this video everything that's said or done has meaning from episode two when Magneto tells Leech he'll never have to live in fear again and how he sent Gambit to save them because of his promise up until he stripped the adamantium from Wolverines skeleton. Even when Jean was probing Gyrics mind & the face in the wind saying I'm sorry mom. This show is so incredible I appreciate the detailed writing.
"The Brave always die first." - Wolverine
Magneto said that at 1st season of original animated series, it’s a great callback
Shoutout to having an older brother, who was a comics nerd that tried his best to guard his comics. With statements such as, "Hey, don't touch my comics!"... I almost worked big bro. But thank you for bringing that comics influence into the home. This one's for you🔥
Idk if I missed it, but no one seems to be talking about how Cyclops eye beamed Charles because he was waiting for the other team to defeat Bastian
Yes he did. How about that. He did say he was sorry, right?
Exactly! So weird they aren't talking about that more since in that moment he essentially sided with Magneto since the mission was to save the world and return the power (ie. stop Magneto) even if it meant that more mutants would die (due to Bastian not being defeated yet or his connection to the prime sentinels untethered). So if the mission is to save the world or save the mutants and Cyclops chose to defy Xavier's orders to save the world first, even if he respectfully apologized for doing so, that's still a lot of characterization towards his radicalization in favor of Magneto's philosophy.
@@mon_nobi exactly!! I think we are seeing the seeds being planted for a Cyclops Villain arc
The show is perfect, Ryan 😤😤
He's just salty that there's not enough Disney propaganda B.S. involved. Ryan's way out there in left field if you get my drift. This show is perfect and I'm loving every minute of it.
Jean was switched in Reunion
Exactly! Don't get this video, tbh. The series gives enough of everything in a way people who like the TV show but don't know much about the comics can follow, entertain and comment. It's well written, animated and each episode keeps you hooked up until the end.
@evrywerigoable if I had to guess...I believe she was switched during the Beyond Good and Evil story arc cuz when I go back ans watch the OG series, I noticed all throughout season 5, Jeans wears her hair out (in and out of uniform)and not in a ponytail.

No. Not in a million years
Really? After everything he's been through? Humanity nuking Genosha and just being bigots in general, telling Mutants to just tolerate the hate? Nah, he had every right to do what he did. Humanity in this universe sucks.
He so was.

X-Men 97 is so great because there are real consequences which comic book adaptations tend to shy away from. Killing Gambit, Leech, Madelyne, taking Storms powers away, Showing how Rogue deals with the aftermath takes a lot of guts. It is impactful and resonates. Also, whenever you can show why the villain is the villain makes for a great story, giving Magneto a why is so important to the story (Which is also why I think Thanos was so great) This show is Awesome. I’m sad it’s only a few episodes. If Beau DeMayo is the reason for this Awesomeness I really hope they bring him back. I’d love to see at the very least 5 seasons of this show.
With X-Men '97 every episode is a Red Wedding.
A girl is not ready for Episode 10...
Yes, they COULD have flushed out the story lines in two or three episodes. But the problem with flushing out long stories is you end up with a lot of filler and dead space which makes episodes boring and long to watch. We all know what we are here for, no need to drag it out. I appreciate half of the episodes being action packed and attention grabbing. I wish more tv series would follow the format. Let’s be glad this show balances the story and the action very well. I am loving this show!
It’s 97% perfect, Ryan. There are maybe one or two very minimal things that I would wish they could do better. As long as they don’t rush their craft, they will continue with banger after banger
Is one of them have Logan talk to Hank about his taste in women.
Totally agree
I agree my 3% is I wish there was a tiny bit more of the lifedeath storyline to digest but it wasn't show destroying for me. That return dialogue with Jean on the jet was so worth it in this episode.
🤡🤡🤡 97% the 90's show was that, this is farrrr from it
Your coverage of X-Men "97 has been so great not only did I subscribe but I started posting your videos on Discord to show to other fans as well.
Love your content. One suggestion is doing more videos like you did with Cam Kasky where you bring in celebs and public figures who are comic book nerds like us as have them talk about how they enjoy a piece of media, it really works.

I FEEL LIKE VALERIE COOPER IS APOCALYPSE IN DISGUISE
I think its been a genius move to abbreviate the storylines, cut the fluff, and even retcon how this stuff fits together.
I wish we had that AND more episodes.
Totally agree wtih Sunspot. Probably the weakest past of the season is Robertos lack of development, the unnecessary hesitation of his power usage (with weak moments of him actually using them)
And its the best X-men ive seen in a long time
Beau Demayo needs his recognition
People don't need to be the sole person in control, but he needs to be in the room when choices are made.
1000% agree with you. X-Men needs Beau DeMayo. Rehire that man
First off X-men 97 has to follow stories already started in the original animated series which were out of order comic wise. Secondly rushing through and combining old comic storyline are great for nostalgia. You have to remember these comic adaptation had New Mutants, original X-Facor, Ex-Caliber. They don't exist in the animated series, so they have to use whom they have. Rogue has already taken two story plots that was originally Colossus.
Magnus, for the love of God, don't do this!
When Wolverine was trying to pull Magneto’s helmet off and Magneto pushed him away and you saw the magnetism around Wolverine I thought he was going to do it right then and there but I’m glad he didn’t at that point
It was so much crazier after Wolverine stabbed him 🤯🤯🤯
@@oprahIV Logan's stabbed tons of people. Easy to forget when the original cartoon couldn't let that slide.
it only seems 'FAST" to a insider, comic nerd like YOU guys! lol! - but seriously, to a movie enthusiast, a ordinary sci-fi fan who doesnt really deep dive? its FANTASTIC shizzy
I agree, DeMayo cuts out the filler and gives us the good, juicy stuff every week. The pace of the storytelling is perfect
I don't mind the speed run through most of these stories. It does not need to be a complete retelling of the complete run of the books. Some of those stories ran 30 to 40 issues long. Just give us the highlights with a good story. Diving to deep with to much details takes away from what most of us really want to see. How they use their powers.
I don’t know if someone covers this, but Sunspot is just meeting Xavier for the first time. Magneto has been the leader of the X-Men the whole time he has been there. I wouldn’t complain about more character development of him, but after thinking about it it tracks for me that he would follow Magneto
Imagine if Mystique has been in the season the whole time as someone like Beast 😂😅
What if morph is mystique 😂😂😂
@@LiquoriceGold BAM! Total subversion of expectations!!! 😆 🤣 😂
I don’t care how fast they go through the storyline’s… I’m getting old, they need to hurry through it before I die 😂
Wolverine was probably chosen to advance against Magneto because he would underestimate and not pay attention to him. This is so true because Wolverine was the only one who managed to remove Magneto's helmet and hit him. Magneto finds it so easy to control Wolverine's Adamantium that he doesn't pay enough attention to what he could do when focusing on others.
finished the latest episode video like ten min ago and and gratefully surprised to this video! Im glad that X-Men is the reason for Marvels existence. Oh yes, I saw that in a theatre with like a 75%-25% nerd to normie ratio, and the audience just grumbled, mumbled, and quietly stated "yes, yeah,I don't know why its not...". It was great lol
What are you even saying dude? Marvels is shit yeah, we know….. no not the reason at all
This show is better than perfect. Perfect means something has hit its peak. This show keeps getting better and I don’t see the end of its potential in sight
I agree that I wish the arcs weren't on "speed run", BUT I think they are doing a great job adapting those stories into single 25 min episodes. It's actually impressive how well they're doing that.
We haven't talked enough about Magneto killing thousands of people and frying most technology. This is so massive, the consequences are so huge there's no way they'll come back to a status quo
Roberto,s mom turn her back on him! What more do I need to turn my back to the world? Do I need someone assasinating the love of my life together with other people I know and care about (so much so I joined a group risking my life every day to one day make their life better ) and also destroyed my aspirations in life? I think that last one would make me a psycho.
It’s not saving mcu, it’s reviving the x-men property.
To quote Onslaught relating to the mcu…
“The dream is dead!”
I love the pace of the show. Too often in this “Post-Lost” tv landscape every series under the sun has become some version of a cliffhanger merchant.
This show PAYS OFF every episode. AND it has long term arcs for its main characters that build (gambit, rogue, storm, Xavier, magneto)
It’s not common. But getting some kind of pay off basically every episode has been incredible. And i think that is something viewers like without realizing they like it
Am I the only one that realized Magnus is only alive because leach died? 😢
Once you take out the “Previously on X-Men” and credits, X:TAS episodes were about 18 minutes. X97 episodes closer to 25-27 minutes. A four episode run like the Phoenix Saga would be less than 3 episodes of this show.
And TAS is still better
I love how this show is giving chills and thrills. And I agree, X-Men is not only about Logan like in the movies, the show really gives spotlights to every character. They got great dialogues too! A good writing is really the key.
Not enough cyclops yelling "jean"
Not enough Jean moaning & fainting.
Loving the show! Your Easter egg recaps really enhance the experience. Keep up the good work!
Wow, poor Mike, he really did get saddled with adversity, I too, have Crohn's, and I totally sympathize with my fellow Crohn's brother.
THANKS for this, SceenCrush Gang!!! Ryan, I'm certain one day you'll get over "Secret Invasion." :) Look, Sam Jackson got a great check and moved on to "The Marvels." So in 2025 let's leave "Invasion" in 2024, PLEASE :)
I feel like Secret Invasion could have worked after Cap 2 Winter Soldier and right before Guardians Vol.1&2 introducing some spacey shit here on the ground while Nick is “dead” before fully blasting off! That way, it remains ambiguous enough to timeline error and would be acceptable where skrull, got here in the 90’s
The “autistic Jew with Crohn’s” killed me 😂
What did you think of the episode?
Magnus, for the love of God, don't do this!

Count me on team Mike! "I played once and got lucky." 🤣🤣🤣 Good insight into the Comics and MCU as well as just being funny as hell. Love that dude.
My opinion is that the reason shows are feeling "rushed" these days is because I think that's just how the landscape of the whole TV shows and streaming world has evolved into. Ppl just aren't patient for long running seasons anymore... or for shows that, even if they just have 10 episodes, just dont have a good pace and spread out the story thin over the seasons. And I also think this is compounded by the fact that shows are just too easily cancelled these days if the ratings are not super high. This leads to the writers and producers feeling the need to just dish out their strongest punches when story telling to help make sure the ppl are loving it and stay engaged.
And I say all this as myself being an example of this. For a LONG time we had shows that would span 20 to 30 episodes per season like Smallville and Arrow and, personally, I just don't have the patience anymore for these type of shows that shoved a lot of filler mini stories through out the season with only a bit of main story development trickled through out the episodes here and there.
I prefer a show that just tells the main story and at a good pace... Shows like Shogun (which, if you haven't watched, I HIGHLY recommend - and there's a 2nd season coming).
I dont mind the VERY occasional filler bit like, for example, the 4th episode of X-Men '97. It was prolly my least favorite episode, at least, till the Storm part. The whole Jubilee and Roberto getting sucked into the Mojo's Motendo was just a tad on the boring side and just had that filler feeling. it was tolerable but didn't really add that much to the main story line (other then maybe some Jubilee character development with her finally realizing what her powers can do which, if you ask me, is about DAMM time - she's a OG X-Men Animated series character from episode 1 and I feel her powers and character are one of the least developed ones).
But through out the entire season, this was the only bit that i'd prolly remove or change. Outside of that, I have just been worshipping X-Men '97 as one of the best western animated shows in MANY years and the best thing that came out of Marvel since The Avengers Endgame... and I hope this show continues like this for many more seasons and with this quality, pace and amazing story telling, voice acting, etc.
My favourite X-men characters are Wolverine and Rogue so my favourite period was when Rogue used her abilities on an injured Mutant Skrull called Z'Cann which altered her powers, caused them to go out of control and manefest powers she had historically absorbed, she got it under control but it resulted in her skeleton shifting permanently to give her Bone claws and a healing factor.
Futurama suffered from a short season, too. In Futurama, there were (for me) A LOT of episodes that were absolutely mediocre. And there's already a lot of mediocre Futurama episodes, but, we forgive them because they were in seasons of 20-something episodes and there were more bangers per season. There's not enough good stuff going on. Meanwhile, in X-Men....It's the opposite of not enough GOOD, there's too much good stuff that could be great if it was a 20-episode season to flesh out all the good stuff.
I love how it was Scott who caused Wolverine to be defeated by Magneto. It adds so much to their rivalry.
Was bro drunk
He seems to be.
I thought you were talking about sock puppet at first... then I got to actual part lol
I definitely agree that my main gripe is that they are running through so many comic story arcs too quickly, but at the same time they’ve done such a good job with the storytelling that I can’t complain too much.
I too wish we can have Saturday morning cartoon scheduling again but until we petition for change, we're gonna get shorted animation slots.
Is there any way we could be able to get the shirts with the designs on the back instead of the front?
The nature of the Phoenix is to be reborn over and over again. Jean dying over and over again is literally the basis for her character.
They need to keep Demayo on as the producer!! Walk things back, mend the bridges, but keep him on this show.
The story flows well generally for wider audiences to grasp at least in my perspective.
However I do understand for those comics nerd who knows about other potential plotlines may felt bit underwhelming as the studio missed some great opportunities.
Generally speaking, I like how they keep the story stay focus with the momentum not dragging too much nor not rushing too much either at least from my perspective.
You become instantly accurate of what you are saying the moment you stablish facts such as “outside Batman The Animated Series”. You are right, this show is becoming revolutionarily good.
Oh my lord ryan says "I don't know after you said autistic jew with chrones" and Mike says "Oh yeah Magneto!" And I laughed so hard.
I absolutely agree with you guys apocalypse is definitely returning wouldn't surprise thats probably how Gambit come back as death ,and i could see wolverine be war instead of death since both character became death at different points however i can see us getting a bit of bone claw wolverine for a while first.
U know now I understand the meaning of a mutant saga. U know at first I thought it's just gonna have mutants. But no, how the Avengers respond to the situation and entire conflict will also be interesting to explore in the MCU. and after that, we should actually have the multiversal battle. With kang and doom.
The mutant saga shld actually be a subset of the multiverse saga. Introduce them in a different universe.
And keep the fantastic four space based for some while
28:45 it was Nate Grey... who is kinda like what you'd get if you have a brother from a different timeline to Cable. He's not the same guy as Cable though.
He is younger and even more powerful since Nate does not have the virus that Cable has. He is also a shorter guy in height and looks more like his mother Jean.. Same father but different mother which means they are half brothers? Step brother is if Jean had Nate with another man already kind of like how Cyclops has had Cable with Madeline Pryor
One thing I love about this series, it's shows the flaws and the humanity of the characters and just a story and not alternative messages.Who knew cartoons would be more human than human movies
If Onslaught is coming our way then they need to introduce the Avengers, Fantastic 4, Nate Grey, and they need to have Franklin Richards, Onslaught will control the sentinels and will most likely defeat all the other villains including taking the Crinsom ruby of Cytorrak from Juggernaut. Bastion will just have to run away.
This show is as close to perfect as any reasonable person can expect from the MCU. I sincerely hope they adapt the bit from Judgement Day where Magneto has a hole in his chest and keeps himself alive by controlling the iron in his blood and forcing his blood to pump while missing a whole ass heart. That was one of the most bad ass panels ever created.
What did you think of the next episode 10 ending I honestly was kinda disappointed because of how a lot of storylines were rushed. I like the show, but it feels rushed. Great scene! I think it's been a genius move to abbreviate the storylines, cut the fluff, and even retcon how this stuff fits together. I wish we had that AND more episodes 11. Totally agree with Sunspot. Probably the weakest part of the season is Robertos lack of development, the unnecessary hesitation of his power usage (with weak moments of him actually using them) And it's the best X-Men seen in a long time X-men are the only reason why I still watch TV "The Brave always die first." - Wolverine My one gripe is losing gambit, hoping he comes back as dead whenever the apocalypse shows up... Imagine if Mystique has been in the season the whole time as someone like Beast I'm glad Mike said it. These writers were smart and didn't assume they'd get another season so they're doing everything they want to do NOW. Shoutout to having an older brother, who was a comics nerd that tried his best to guard his comics. With statements such as, "Hey, don't touch my comics!"... I almost worked big bro. But thank you for bringing that comic influence into the home. This one's for you "I don't need an old game is not good next week. I just had to play once and got lucky." YES. I am stealing this show live-action to play him on the spot. The show-up is perfect, thanks Ryan is done no more to work with is overtime is done this week sorry you are cut out I feel like people don't really understand he says that on the chip is talk on the podcast is
Tech okay set him up in that movie in Star Wars okay.
Unless Disney hires the writer/director that they fired then next season or the season he doesn’t do might suck like Disney’s other flops.
This is Beau DeMayo dream/vision n we all know he’s done a fucking bomb ass job so far.
Why did he get fired??
@@Silkysmooth-qk5nc no one knows so might as well quit asking until they actually come out and tell us
My first impression of the X-Men when I encountered them around 1990, it was I cannot believe that wolverine and beast are not the leaders
BROCK LESNAR AS SABERTOOTH PLEASE ❤
To me, this show is perfect. I get that they are rushing thru a lot of comic stories, but my theory is that they are giving us some of the moments we love most from the comics to pay tribute in a short period of time in order to make room to give us completely new stories in future seasons. Also, the story is wayyyy better than anything Marvel has given us lately and the animation is just a home run!!
I'm hoping for a bit more continuity, particularly explaining how Captain America ended up in the present and keeping it consistent with his 90s Spider-man appearances. On top of that the Iron-Man show had him already leading an Avengers like team which could be established as the US government's Superhuman strike team against mutant threats as seen in the alternate genetic war seen in some of the old time travel episodes (if I recall Wanda was on that team and her presence in a counter mutant team and being the daughter of Magneto would be some juicy drama). A little bit of effort into some continuity would create a 90s animated universe rather just focused on continuing the X-Men.
I have also wondered what if in the movies, the X-men had continued to the point where the other heroes start appearing but as humanities reaction to Mutants (as opposed to their reaction to aliens as in the MCU) Tony Stark could be funded to create weapons in the same mold of the Sentinels. Supersoldiers and other science gone wrong villians and heroes could be attempts to recreate mutant powers for regular humans and seen as unnatural thefts by more radical mutants such as Magneto. Even more out there characters like Thor appearing on earth could be the godlike beings and aliens feeling threatened by mutants as powerful as Jean Grey, Magneto and Scarlet Witch.
My prediction for the final episode is the Avengers, Shield, or another Human team being the cavalry and joining forces with the X-men, proving Charles's trust in humans to be confirmed. Although I honestly want to see the continuation of the genetic war, with humanity being rudderless without Bastion, relying on the characters we would have normally seen as heroes going against the mutant threat. Leaving the timeline still open to being saved but not without a drawn out struggle.
Edit: also really up for the human heroes trying to wake Carol Danvers from her Rogue induced coma as an ace in the hole, as she gets like one appearance in the 90s and establishes her as a known superhero. Any avengers line-up should be using existing heroes with appearances in the 90s shows, and Thor should be a disabled doctor who transforms into a god.
nice to hear mike talk about his autism, strangely enough I find it to be an underrepresented part of the marvel fandom so it's nice to see someone so cool and successful!
Awesome Breakdown from everyone on this stream
i haven't read the comics or watched Xmen 92 but so far i think the density of comic book stuff is a benefit. it leads to the show feeling a little more fast paced but because they give characters time the story doesnt feel rushed when you watch it standalone
I was just telling my whole family the same thing the other day. They just touched on Fatal Attractions this week, we'll see how the next episode goes. I think it would be awesome for them just go straight to Age of Apocalypse for the next season.
Guy with the glasses been drinking lol
Haha but He’s cooking, that line about I rather get 10 high quality episodes than 26 episodes of that Saban garbage. I couldn’t even watch the last season of X-Men shit looks horrible
I love your show brother... I agree I find myself re watching 97 over and over due to the storyline, animation, and being an overall xmen fan.
My brother and I have had that very same conversation many times 😂 2:19
The X-Men comics et. al. had a usually great way of telling one story, resetting, and then telling another. It got messy when they tried to do a full connected universe. The continuity was in the characters, not in the story. The MCU Phase 1-3 pretty much got the character side-story thing down, and hit a brick wall when they tried to keep going after bringing them all together. To keep continuity of shared universes together you have to go full Tommy Westfall or start destroying realities.
I hope next season would at least have 45 minutes per episode
29:23 Anachronistically, looks like someone put 'super built Captain America' into a Midjourney prompt.
31:48 Shoot first, script later? That's was Jackie Chan's motto. LOL
They can always go back to stories they've done before. Fatal Attractions was done as Sanctuary but redone this week with beats they ignored the first time.
25:07 😂😂😂 Ryan’s slowly getting it!
What many people aren't taking into consideration is the timing of the show release. In just a few months, Deadpool and Wolverine comes out, and in that universe Wolverine lost everyone on the team. What if this is the universe Wolverine of that Wolverine? What if this season ends with all of the X men dying, and in the end credits of the season finale it shows Deadpool entering the bar to talk to Wolverine.
He would have to get the ademantium back before the season finale seeing how the movie Wolverine has metal claws come out
I’m so impressed with the show. I think they should do more animated movies of the teams and or characters. Dc pushes out so many Batman or justice league movies, I think marvel is clueless if they don’t join in. I would go to the theater to see an animated X-men movie. The ones they have are good, just not marketed at all.
