Here's a bit of trivia: Looking at Cable's original origin, it looks like Cable was meant to be the son of Nathaniel Richards and his Queen on a parallel Earth, being the younger half-brother to Mr. Fantastic. When Rob Liefeld left Marvel Comics for Image Comics, Cable was repurposed as the long-lost son of Scott Summers and Madelyn Prior.
@@jabroni7706 Nathaniel Richards is Kang the Conqueror. He is a likely far in the future descendent of Reed Richards and Dr. Doom We know this from his origin story as Doom's Doom Bots recognized him as having a similar DNA signature to Doom, initially not attacking him. With the last name Richards in Marvel, it's likely not a coincidence, pointing to him being a far future descendant of Reed. Likely Valeria Richards (Reed & Susan's daughter) & one of Doom's children had a child together & their bloodline led to Kang eventually. Reed Richards & Susan Storm's son is named Franklin Richards. It gets confusing as there's Nate Grey (Scott & Jean), Nathaniel Summers (Scott & Madelyn Prior) & Nathaniel Richards (AKA Kang the Conqueror)... All insanely powerful beings.
someone on one of these videos theorized that when Bastion intergrated Cable's arm into himself, that he ended up taking Cable's temporal device as well. When Bastion went boom, the temp pad slid different people to different places. I'm just curious where Wolverine and Morph ended up.
Most likely Rachel in Bishop's future takes Nate to the Askani future and gets stranded there raising him and heading the clan and that's how she gets displaced in 97 Universe
QUESTION: Have the books ever dealt with the concept of using Vibranium instead of Adamantium for Logan? The Adamantium poisoning him has been a reoccurring thing it seems to me. Wouldn't Vibranium be better in every way? Or is this a stupid question?
That's what I saying when they showed Egypt. In my mind I was thinking, isn't that where Kang's origin started? I couldn't ask the question because I was watch it by myself lol....
Wait, I’m confused are you saying he thinks Kang is that apocalypse because of the thumbnail or are you saying that because of something else? because that’s not what he says in the video, he just used Kang in the thumbnail and talked about him being around during the time of apocalypse which he was
The time displacement might be explained as an accident, that when Bastion died he had Cable time displacement device in him (sine it was kept in his cyber-arm. It would be cool if they did Roma and did a vernation of the Outback era, with the using their legends to show mutants are ‘true heroes’ to humanity. (Or even better do a X-men version of Excalibur’s cross-time caper as they try getting to their own time and encounter Captain Britain and alt versions of themselves along the way.)
You’ve been a little wrong so far in your predictions but you should’ve been right lol. Rob, we know too much about the source material and original stories but love the misdirection that the X97 is going.
Best way to square the circle between Apocalypse's powers as originally described, the Celestial alterations, and how they've been defined recently is that the alterations mainly taught him how to use his powers the most efficient way. He always had full control over all atoms in his body - but having an ability and knowing how to use it are two different things. Instinctually he figured out that he could change his size and somewhat alter his strength and durability, because those are the crudest ways to use that kind of power. But when he underwent enhancements with Celestial tech, the main effect it had on him was twofold: For one he gained a full understanding of how exactly his powers work, allowing him to be much more efficient at it. And the second is that during this process he also learned a lot about the technology he was melded with - enough that he can replicate parts of it at will, for things like energy beams, shields or other more complex powers that are more technological in nature. They basically implanted the knowledge of how to become a walking Celestial arsenal into him.
Rob, since the X-Men are lost in time courtesy of Immortus/Rama-Tut the question is where are Wolverine and Morph? We did not see them in the post-credit scene where some of the Xmen are lost in the future and some in the past my theory is that: he and Morph have been lost in Bishop’s timeline, remember the 1992 X-Men Animated series in the episode "Days of Future Past" where a variant of Wolverine’s adamantine skeleton is being displayed in Forge's Lab, I'm sure the old variant Forge in Bishop’s timeline would bond the metal to our salvaging Wolverine!
Remember how everyone was talking about comic book movie fatigue and how this is why people weren’t going to see Shit movies like Madame Web??? While X-Men 97 is being universally loved and praised showing that we fans are STILL here
It's Kang. Beyond good and evil sets it up loosely, and that's why we ended up with all the weird stuff in 97. Basically the axis of time being reconstructed for Kangs purposes after bishop helped stop apocalypse
They might tie that up in Spider-Man 98 whenever they announce it it's probably gonna start off with Spider-Man going through the Spiderverse looking for MJ going through crazy shit with the other Spidermans and we may see Miles Morales and probably by the end of the season we may see the events of X-Men 97 wrap up too.
Rob ..you need to post some retractions 😂 X-men 97 have had you more wrong than anything. No onslaught..no feral Wolverine, No Cassandra Nova, etc X-Men 97 have keep everyone on their toes
It’s so cold how all of their actions and reality hopping is creating a paradox . They have to cross timelines to perpetuate events across all the time streams
Yes. That finale was RAD. I think you're wrong. I think it was Bastion. He just demonstrated time travel/teleportation in the fight scene. On a side note, it is interesting that in many mutants, though they talk about the X gene, the deeper reasoning behind the mutant powers has to do with accessing another dimension. Colossus's metal form, Scott Summer's optic blasts, Nightcrawler's teleportation... etc have to do with another dimension. This is all metaphor. In our hologram, abilities and powers such as telepathy, healing etc come from tapping into other dimensions of reality. Astral plane for psychic abilities, quantum realms for holographic modification, healing from the etheric flows... X MEN are metaphor and one of the "Teachings" similar to the Greatest America Hero (80's TV show) GAH that demonstrates the functions of the human skin suit's "supernatural" abilities through the metaphor of the GAH super suit / outfit. The human skin suit is the "suit / outfit" of the GAH or the product of celestial civilizations process to develop new soul vessels for there and our incarnation into the Earth Plain.
i have yet to watch XMen 97..but just fromthe clips in the first minute of this video... pretty cool to see Beast carrying Prof X around... JUST LIKE IN THE 90s CARTOON! and don't get me started on how cool is it that they are tackling these storylines from the comics... that's certainly not an easy entry-point for new viewers... but damn is it giving good feels for longterm X-fans.
lol! you are asking the real question there at the end. Who moved them through time is the thing my mind keeps looping back to! Getting to sleep tonight is gonna be a chore!
My thoughts are Apocalypse is the one who time displaced the X-men. His motive was in to make sure he was created in the first place. Almost like a grandfather paradox!
i mean bastion did powerup using Cable’s arm thats tot the time cube, and he even body slided against rogue in the fight, wouldnt surprise me that he isnt dead and caused somehow the time jumps
We saw Spider-man earlier on when Magneto used the global EMP, but later on we see Peter standing out of costume with MJ while the riots are just ending. Do you think this means that Peter isn't currently Spider-man and is instead Ben Reily? I think this makes sense since we're building into the Onslaught saga and Ben Reily was Spider-man during that time.
Well thought out video. The points against it being Kang are the Apocalypse has been involved in his fair share of time shenanigans & Feige didn't want certain things in this first season of this amazing reboot. Also, Kang might still have that Majors part to it, even with it being a completely different voice actor - they might want to just keep separation from Kang at the moment. And if they do recast Kang, they'd STILL want to make sure he wasn't heavily involved in a non MCU property. But, there's room there for it to be Kang. Either way, they've got me intrigued after what I think was one of the best shows of the year, anywhere.
I say it was Bastion. When he absorbed Cable's arm, he absorbed the cube known as "the professor" which have time travel knowledge and maybe the capability to travel in time too and since Cable's obsession with defeating Apocalypse he has those time dates as coordinates of when to properly attack En Sabah Nur! And Bastion getting blown triggered the time jumps!
Good info. Only thing different here is in the 97' universe Cable says that while traveling forward in time with Bishop, Cable got seperated from him in the timestream. Likely, Cable never made it to forge but instead went further than Bishop's time after Apocalypse had won. I think it's Nimrod/Bastion still. He dives at the gravity core before it explodes and vanishes, whose to say he doesn't get displaced, then come back to that moment to displace the X-men across Apocalpyse's timeline to defeat or change him because Apocalpse is the one that conquers the humans and subsequently the sentinels/machines. Bastion using the X-men to ensure Apocalypse loses and Sentinels rise.
I only came here to say this because i haven't finished the show, Rob you have the best comics channel on UA-cam, please do something other than xmen 97. I cant read all the comics but when you branch out to other comics it helps me understand the whole marvel universe.
Hello English is not my main language so please forgive me for any mistakes. I don't know if anyone noticed it, but in X-Men: The Animated Series, in the episode Time Fugitives part 2, Caleb was checking historical data about the x men, and when there was data about Cyclops, he said that he had already met him and Jean Gray. Additionally, when Jean looked into Cable's mind, she saw a strand of DNA and an image of herself and Scot.
Next season: Kang, Immortus, Rama-Tut, Stryfe and Apocalypse will all likely appear. Ozymandias may make a cameo, too. It could low key tie everything into the rest of Phase 5's Kang and his variants appearances.
After all the MCU drama, the irony of Kang possibly showing up in X-M '97 next season cannot be overstated
That’d be a nice way “flush out”Kangs purpose without using Majors.

@@TripAces”Trash Agenda” it’s funny you said that, because one of the big theories as to why Beau was fired was because he was an openly gay man, and he probably was pushing for a *LOT* more LGBTQIA representation on the show that the infamously gun shy about “Gay stuff” Disney will allow.
This is the company that refused *_EVERY_* opportunity to give The Owl House a full third season, and they ended up passing up the biggest rating bonanza the Disney Channel could’ve ever seen for three heavily truncated tv movies, all because they’re some serious homophobes in Disney’s board of executives.
@@TripAcesOh my god, xmen 97 was literally full of the "trash agenda" you speak of it just had good writing, I would kill for people to take a single film as lit course just so you can digest content adequately holy shit dude.
Not to worry, just replacing a creator isn't destined to kill the show. Have some faith, If this level of writing is kept up in Deadpool and Wolverine we may be getting the mcu back to it's roots. But please, I beg you, stop watching those "woke agenda" vids they are more brain rot than the actual content they're talking about 😂
Encore! They went above and beyond with this cinematic treasure of a show. Bring on Apocalypse , the Four Horseman and Rama Tut.
Best series from Marvel yet, even better than infinity war and endgame.
Peak media, in any form.
True
Nothing beat Infinity War. And also Loki season 2 is better than this show.
@@Szymonxxxxx youre an outlier. But both loki seasons were peak.
@@SzymonxxxxxI disagree infinity war was good i didnt think it was great.
The Season 1 Finale of *X-Men '97* was Super Awesome and Epic! Good thing the X-Men and Magneto survived, and they're all now traveled back in time, where Rogue, Nightcrawler, Beast, Professor Xavier and Magneto are in Ancient Egypt, and they all meet THE Soon-to-be Ultimate Marvel Villain himself: Apocalypse. Didn't see that one coming.
Wish we got onslaught too
@@Seasonal-Shadow_4674 Yeah, that would've been Awesome to have Onslaught in *X-Men '97.*
glad i watched the episode before reading your comment dude holy shit spoilers. maybe dont quote the ending verbatim in a comment like 5 hours after the finale drops

Your videos are The best man you break down stuff on a molecular level when it comes to comics thank you for that
I was saying Nathaniel RICHARDS for an hour in Warren's live stream, everyone ignored me lol
Here's a bit of trivia:
Looking at Cable's original origin, it looks like Cable was meant to be the son of Nathaniel Richards and his Queen on a parallel Earth, being the younger half-brother to Mr. Fantastic.
When Rob Liefeld left Marvel Comics for Image Comics, Cable was repurposed as the long-lost son of Scott Summers and Madelyn Prior.
@@LucLightWolf121 very cool, didnt know this
@@LucLightWolf121 How would he be Mr Fantastics brother if Nathaniel Richards is Reeds son wouldn’t he then be Reeds grandson
@@jabroni7706 Franklin Richards is his son. Not Nathaniel. Go research.
@@jabroni7706
Nathaniel Richards is Kang the Conqueror. He is a likely far in the future descendent of Reed Richards and Dr. Doom
We know this from his origin story as Doom's Doom Bots recognized him as having a similar DNA signature to Doom, initially not attacking him.
The final episode was awesome! Thanks Rob!
Where is Logan in all of this time travelling
And storm, morph
What if they're 3 of the other 4 Horsemen!
Great question.
They gonna have their own little adventure, wouldn't be surprised if the adversary pops up there, cuz it was basically in and out, almost useless
Good question
You are my go to for any comic book content! Big love bro from the UK X Men is the best show of 2024
The adventure of Cyclops and Phoenix run.
someone on one of these videos theorized that when Bastion intergrated Cable's arm into himself, that he ended up taking Cable's temporal device as well.
I love Beasts reaction at the end.
Thank you for all you do brother!
QUESTION: Have the books ever dealt with the concept of using Vibranium instead of Adamantium for Logan? The Adamantium poisoning him has been a reoccurring thing it seems to me. Wouldn't Vibranium be better in every way? Or is this a stupid question?
I’ve been waiting for this!
this is where i bow out of comics… time travel, clones, alternate universes, etc… too much to keep up with
xmen comics have in their fabric time travel, alternate universes.
Just watched the episode was so good thanks for the timing rob ☺️
That's what I saying when they showed Egypt. In my mind I was thinking, isn't that where Kang's origin started? I couldn't ask the question because I was watch it by myself lol....
You're overthinking it, it was a version of Apocalypse.
Wait, I’m confused are you saying he thinks Kang is that apocalypse because of the thumbnail or are you saying that because of something else? because that’s not what he says in the video, he just used Kang in the thumbnail and talked about him being around during the time of apocalypse which he was
You're underthinking.
Apocalypse doesn’t have time trave abilities though
Apocalypse is a jobber who loses regularly
A huge shout out to Rob! He called Gambit being brought back as Death before anyone else..
No Onslaught, No problem! EPIC!!!
I mean he could show up later.
Well lets not remove Onslaught just yet, we have a whole season for him to cook and fester, they can just rewrite the origin.
No not yet. It took awhile until he appeared. A lot has to transpire first.
Maybe later lol
Onslaught has to cook.
Fatal Attractions was the Origin point, but his appearance wasn't until later.
It might also be Immortus. He has " interfered" before in XMEN TAS.
Every villain just taking turns infecting Nathan lol
Awesome show
Wow, Rob mentioned the Inhumans and didn't trash talk about them. It's been awhile.
I seriously believe Rob has consulted on this show he is too on point with his "predictions".
Finally!!!
Cyclops was in his feelings when he learned that cable was hurt
And where is the two mile long astroid ??
i could literally listen to these all day
Xmen saved the Mcu
X-Men 97 is great! Now we need a continuation of Spider Man TAS 1994
I think it's bastion. He took cables arm it had the time slider in it. And he fused it to himself
Would he be able to displace them in different times with that technology? And where's the astroid?
@@bluemarvelous If he exploded maybe?
Once again, great content brother!! You absolutely killed this breakdown!! Love it!!!
Bro seeing Attilan on the moon just as a cool background was so cool because just the level of detail was so awesome
I agree that it might be Kang. We did see an cameo appearance of Immortus in the last season when Apocalypse stole the psychics
Bro yes thank you!!! You’re the GOAT for recaps, theories and explanations ever! Thank you for still doing tv and movie stuff 🎉🎉
That Nathan isn't Cable that's Stryfe in the making. We're gonna get Stryfe and Apocalypse in season 2 trust me
That nathan is cable,Y'all need to stop
Remember how everyone was talking about comic book movie fatigue and how this is why people weren’t going to see Shit movies like Madame Web??? While X-Men 97 is being universally loved and praised showing that we fans are STILL here
It's Kang. Beyond good and evil sets it up loosely, and that's why we ended up with all the weird stuff in 97. Basically the axis of time being reconstructed for Kangs purposes after bishop helped stop apocalypse
X-Men 97' is the best Disney/Marvel product that's been out in a long time
How did Peter find MJ is the bigger question
They might tie that up in Spider-Man 98 whenever they announce it it's probably gonna start off with Spider-Man going through the Spiderverse looking for MJ going through crazy shit with the other Spidermans and we may see Miles Morales and probably by the end of the season we may see the events of X-Men 97 wrap up too.
It's the Chameleon
I just wanna see an animated Onslaught, from when i first saw him as the final Boss in MVC.
Still not over Gambit dude to soon
Didn't you see the mid-credit scene? Major foreshadowing for Gambit.
Rob ..you need to post some retractions 😂 X-men 97 have had you more wrong than anything. No onslaught..no feral Wolverine, No Cassandra Nova, etc X-Men 97 have keep everyone on their toes
Yeah, I lot of people talking about the things they called but if they also called out 20 other things... you're bound to get a couple right 😂
i like how the roster board at the end of the episode is a HUGE nod of the days of the future past cover. looks like (another) diffrent time lime.
Something told me this was a Kang thing. Who the hell would have Apocalypse masked up and running?
Loved it so much and like you Apocalypse is my favorite, would love to see an adaptation if the Rise of Apocalypse comic
lol! you are asking the real question there at the end. Who moved them through time is the thing my mind keeps looping back to! Getting to sleep tonight is gonna be a chore!
Dude your set up it’s so epic!!!!
I'm pretty sure there's some alternate universe stuff going on with Mother Askani. How does that jive with the MCU's whole incursion thing?
We saw Spider-man earlier on when Magneto used the global EMP, but later on we see Peter standing out of costume with MJ while the riots are just ending. Do you think this means that Peter isn't currently Spider-man and is instead Ben Reily? I think this makes sense since we're building into the Onslaught saga and Ben Reily was Spider-man during that time.
There was definitely time for Spidey to change. The emp happened a night prior to them making their plans to face Magneto and Bastion.
Thank You bro, you literally answered all my questions for sure lol but yeah again I appreciate it. I just subscribed to your channel
I remember, REDD and SLYM, "The Adventures Of Cyclops & Phoenix", Limited Series from 1993 or 1994 ! 😍😍😍👌👌👌
Wasn't Captain America stuck in a time vortex battling Red Skull? How did he escape? Maybe we'll get answers if Spider-Man '98 happens.
My guess is after secret wars he got free when beyonder returned them.
I think it was connected to Bastion, the flash of colours before they disappeared was similar to when he dodged rogue.
Deadpool and the TVA, and love the backdrop art!
4:23 oh boy here we go again again again agai aga ag a...
I didn't miss the mid-credits stinger, that's for sure.
Hello
English is not my main language so please forgive me for any mistakes.
Hey I’m Darryl from Stony River. I loved the show. It was good meeting you.
The displacement could have been a biproduct of what Photon did at the end of the Marvels
That Heisenberg/Walter White cameo was the best!
You called Bastion from the jump on DenofNerds stream!
This season finally rocked! It was big, it personal, and it kept some weird.
Roma does make a lot of sense. Just like when they were "killed" in Dallas Forge was the only one left and everyone seen it on tv.
Next season: Kang, Immortus, Rama-Tut, Stryfe and Apocalypse will all likely appear. Ozymandias may make a cameo, too. It could low key tie everything into the rest of Phase 5's Kang and his variants appearances.
